New Employment Bank to replace Employment Exchange, CM announces while inaugurating Milan Mela

Kolkata, December 22: West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee on Thursday inaugurated the Milan Mela 2011 at Park Circus Maidan on Thursday. The event which is being organized for the past couple of years is a place which gives the people from minority community to gather and participate in the cultural activities. The fair will be on till Jan. 3rd 2012. One of the major attractions of the fair is the Mushaira where women poets will participate and share their thoughts.
Ms. Mamata Banerjee announced a employment bank will be built which will replace the existing employment exchange and maintain the details of those seeking government jobs in the state. `The existing employment exchange will be replaced by the employment bank and will have all the adequate information of those who are seeking government services. This will enable us to keep track of the promising candidates`, said Ms. Mamata Banerjee.
The proposed bank will have four groups segregated into A, B, C and D. According to sources the categories `A`, `B` and `C` will have the details of the candidates working in the tertiary industry where as `D` will have the details of the illiterate candidates.
Chief Minister Ms. Banerjee also distributed the Haji Mohammad Mohsin Scholarship to 94-students comprising of 64-Madhyamik students, 20-high Madrasah-students and 10-Alim students. `This is the first time that the Haji Mohammad Mohsin funds are being used for scholarship for the students. We don’t want the students from the minority community to face any problem in education’, said Ms. Mamata Banerjee who also happens the Minister for Minority Affairs.
