·        CM meets around 230 industrialists at Industrialists` Meet at Alipore, Kolkata, and forms committee on spots to overcome hurdles.

·        The Trinamool-led government starts working on an amendment to the Land Acquisition Act of 1894 to enable the return of 400 acres in Singur to farmers.

·        The Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Bill 2011 is passed in the West Bengal Assembly.

·        After earthquake, CM requests people of the state not to panic and that all district magistrates throughout the state have been alerted to control the situation, CM rushes to North Bengal to inspect earthquake damages, announces that the State Government will lend a supporting hand to Sikkim. CM meets officials at Kurseong, discusses how to send relief to the distressed at the quickest possible time, and visits victims at Siliguri.

·        Trinamool Congress sticks to its pre poll promise, opposes FDI in Loksabha

·        CM introduces rice at Rs2/kg for Jangalmahal tribal, announces development package for the area and asks radicals to surrender and get rehabilitation packages.

·        For the first time in many years Darjeeling Tea and Tourism Festival takes place.
