Mamata meets the injured at the hospital
Local Trinamul Congress leaders and workers visited the Midnapore hospital through the day. Partha Chatterjee, the leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, arrived from Calcutta around 3.30pm. He spoke with the victims and their relatives. “The government has no right to stay in power after today`s violence,” Chatterjee said. Mamata Banerjee reached the hospital at 7.15pm. She met the injured and spoke to the doctors.
