Election Commission officers issues strong report against the state

New Delhi, Jan 23: The Election Commission observers who came to West Bengal to see and understand the law and order situation in state is issuing a strong report to the Commission on the said subject. In four days they have stayed here, they went to the different parts of the state to observe the law and order situation and the overall polling process in the state by themselves. These tours were enough for them to understand the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. In fact at one instance they could not reach the destination as shots were being fired on the road! The observers noticed that the law and order situation in the state has completely broken down. Now they will submit such a report to the EC. The five-member team led by top election official from Bihar, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Rakesh, went to various districts of the state and collected facts about how violence towards political opponents are growing in West Bengal. They were speechless when they heard about the violence initiated by the ruling party cadres in places like Shashon, Mongolkot, Nanur etc. They even divided themselves in smaller teams and went to various parts of West Midnapore, Bardhaman and Birbhum. While, the little chance general public of these areas got to speak to the teams, they told them about the ground situation on these places. Based on their reports, the EC team would issue a strong-worded report against the ruling regime in the state.
