Mamata Banerjee to address rallies in North 24 Parganas today
Mamata Banerjee will address three election rallies at North 24 Parganas today, covering assembly constituencies in Barasat, Dum Dum and Basirhat.
Yesterday Didi addressed four mass rallies in Howrah district at Jagatballavpur, Amta, Uluberia and Sankrail.
At Amta the victims of Kandua were also present. In 1991, their wrists were chopped off by CPI(M) goons because they voted for the Congress. Mamata Banerjee had led a mass movement in Amta back then.
In spite of the scorching summer heat, the Trinamool Chairperson has been travelling to the furthest corners of the State to reach out to the people and spread the message of the developmental works done by the Trinamool Government.

উত্তর ২৪ পরগনায় আজ নির্বাচনী প্রচার করবেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বারাসাত, দমদম, ও বসিরহাটে তিনটি জনসভা করবেন নেত্রী।
গতকাল হাওড়ায় প্রচার করেন তিনি। হাওড়ার জগৎবল্লভপুর, আমতা, উলুবেড়িয়া এবং সাকরাইলে জনসভা করেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। প্রত্যেকটিতেই বিপুল জনসমাগম হয়েছিল।
সিপিএমের আমলে বর্বরতার শিকার কান্দুয়ার দুই ব্যক্তি আমতার জনসভায় এদিন দিদির সঙ্গে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। ১৯৯১ সালে কংগ্রেসকে ভোট দেওয়ার জন্য সিপিএমের দুষ্কৃতিরা তাদের হাত কেটে নিয়েছিল। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় কান্দুয়ায় গিয়ে এই ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ করেন বেশ কিছুদিন ধরে।
এই প্রচণ্ড গরমেও সারা রজ্য জুড়ে নির্বাচনী প্রচার করছেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী এবং মানুষের কাছে গত সাড়ে চার বছরের উন্নয়নমূলক কাজের বার্তা পৌঁছে দিচ্ছেন।
