Ma, Mati, Manush Government completes six-months under the leadership of Ms. Mamata Banerjee

The six-month journey of Ms. Mamata Banerjee as the Chief Minister saw various new projects and simultaneously looking back into the many abandoned projects during the 34-years of Left misrule.
The landmark achievement immediately after her taking office on May 20 was initiating a talk and signing the tripartite Gorkhaland Territorial Administration agreement (GTA) on July 18 at Darjeeling. She assured the people in the Hills of all possible cooperation and maximum autonomy under the central and state laws. Apart from that the Chief Minister promised a series of packages. She also paid a visit to Darjeeling later to take stock of the development.
After the Hills the Chief Minister took up another burning issue, the terrorism of the so-called Maoists in the Jungalmahal. She showed the guts to hold a massive rally in the open in Jamgalmahal and challenged the Maoists to come out of the hiding and face her and kill her made her stand clear that nothing will be able to deter her from working towards the development programmes. Ms. Mamata Banerjee announced various packages including special compensations for those separatists who would surrender and get back to the mainstream. The Chief Minister like the Hills in Jangalmahal too went back after a stipulated time period and took stock of the development.
The passing of the Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Act 2011, in the Assembly was a major victory for Ms. Mamata Banerjee who stood against the crusade of Left Front forcibly taking land from the hapless farmers in the name of SEZ and development. It was she who had stood against this and initiated the Singur agitation.
After the West Bengal elections when the people ushered-in confidence in Ms. Mamata Banerjee and casted their votes in favour of the `Parivartan` (change). The massive victory of Didi during the Assembly by-polls Bhowanipur constituency when inspite of low-turnout of voters sent the clear message across the political corridors in the country that people are with Ms. Mamata Banerjee in her endeavor to bring `Parivartan`.
There had been a series of developments in the field of art, culture, education and administration during these six-months of Ms. Mamata Banerjee in the office of Chief Minister. Her prime concern is Maa-Mati-Manush.
