Chief Minister on a three day visit to Jangalmahal
The Chief Minister will reach Midnapore on Monday evening and will spend the night at the Jhargram Rajbari. She is expected to convene an administrative meeting at the Jhargram Rajbari in the evening.
On Tuesday The Chief Minister will address a public meeting at Binpur. She will lay foundation stone and inaugurate a series of development projects in the region. Apart from that the Chief Minister will also give away patta to homeless under `Nijo Griho, Nijo Bhumi`, `Gitanjali` schemes. Also the Chief Minister will give away bicycles to girls students studying in classes 9, 10,11 and 12, distribute Kisan Cards, Employment Cards etc.
The Chief Minister took an initiative to reach out to the separatists in the region and bring them back to mainstream. It is due to this initiative today peace has returned to Jangalmahal. Many dreaded Maoists were killed during gun battle with the security forces while a large number of the Maoists surrendered in from of the Chief Minister.
