Britain expresses willingness to invest in West Bengal

Kolkata, July 6: British Foreign Office Minister (South Asia) Jeremy Browne, in charge of commerce and industries called upon West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the Writers’ Building and expressed willingness to invest in West Bengal.
Mr. Browne, the first European minister to visit the state after Ms. Banerjee took charge of the new government said,`Britain wants to play a positive and bigger in the business sector in the state. We have expressed our willingness to invest in the state`.
He described his meeting with the Chief Minister `good and positive`.
