Bengal bags top awards in power sector
West Bengal Government has added another feather to its cap by bagging prestigious prizes in the power sector.
The State secured the third prize in the Best State Power Utility Awards this year. In the field of supplying power, WBSEB received the second prize for management excellence.
The State was awarded the prize in the apex Indian power seminar organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce. Incidentally the first prize was awarded to CESC, which serves Kolkata and adjoining areas.
This is not the first time that Bengal is receiving such award. This is the fifth consecutive year that the state has received the honours in power sector.
