Gheraos will not be tolerated at educational institutes: Partha Chatterjee
Trinamool Congress Secretary General Dr Partha Chatterjee on Tuesday sent out a strong message against gherao and demonstrations at educational institutes on Tuesday.
This is what he said:
- Gheraos and demonstration will not be tolerated within the campus of colleges, universities.
- By no means, the atmosphere of education within the colleges and universities will be compromised.
- The party's students' wing should inform the leadership before undertaking any programme.
- If a large number of students, supporters assemble in the university, decency is lost.
- If students have to meet the vice-chancellor, a small team comprising around five members should do so with an appointment.
