Bangladesh delegation meets Chief Minister

Kolkata, July 6: A high level delegation from Bangladesh called upon the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the Writers` Building on Tuesday.
The delegation comprising of Economic Adviser to Prime Minister of Bangladesh Mr. Masi-ur-Rahaman and International Affairs Minister Mr. Gauhar Rizvi met Ms. Banerjee and invited her to Bangladesh. Speaking on this occasion Mr. Masi-ur-Rahaman said, `We have come to Kolkata to express our happiness and congratulate Ms. Banerjee on her taking over as Chief Minister of West Bengal. It will be pleasure if she visits Bangladesh`.
Incidentally, on Monday Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed his willingness to take Ms. Banerjee alongwith him on the two-day official tour to Bangladesh scheduled in early September this year. According to sources there is a possibility that the Teesta water sharing accord will be signed between the two countries and Dr. Singh wants Ms. Banerjee to be a part of this historical event.
This will be her first foreign trip for Ms. Banerjee since taking over as Chief Minister .
