Bengal coming up with ‘best and attractive’ IT incentive policy
The Mamata Banerjee led Bengal government will soon come up with its new IT incentive policy which will be “one of the best and attractive” in the country.
“The new policy will be unveiled soon by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,” minister of Information Technology & Electronics, Bratya Basu said addressing ICT East 2017 organised by CII on Thursday.
The IT department is also inviting suggestions and inputs from industry associations like CII as to what industry wants from us in terms of incentives. The government is creating an ecosystem to give a boost to start-ups in the state. Webel Informatics Ltd (WIL) has been directed to make start-up orientation courses compulsory. WIL conducts certificate courses in advanced computer through its centres in various districts.
The state government is also trying to create clusters by integrating IT under a single roof by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure. The government is coming up with an Analytics City on a 50-acre land in Kalyani, an IoT cluster at Naihati and ICT Healthcare cluster at Falta in South 24 Parganas.

তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি ক্ষেত্রের জন্য আকর্ষণীয় ইনসেন্টিভ নীতি আনতে চলেছে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বাধীন রাজ্য সরকার। তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি ও ইলেকট্রনিক্স মন্ত্রী বলেন খুব শীঘ্রই এই নীতি চালু করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এই নতুন নীতি তৈরী করতে শিল্প সংগঠনগুলি থেকে পরামর্শ চাওয়া হয়েছে।
ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্য সরকার স্টার্ট-আপে জোর দিতে একটি স্টার্ট-আপ নীতি চালু করেছে। রাজ্যে শিল্পবান্ধব পরিবেশ তৈরী হয়েছে। জেলায় জেলায় নিজেদের কম্পিউটার প্রশিক্ষণ দেয় ওয়েবেল ইনফরমেটিক্স লিমিটেড।
