The flare-up in north Bengal is CPM’s handiwork
Kolkata, 9 Feb: The ruling party is creating anarchy in north Bengal in an attempt to differ the assembly elections in the state. In a press conference today at the Trinamool Bhawan, the opposition leader of the assembly, Partha Chatterjee, condemned the ruling party’s intentions and said it is behind the flare-up in north Bengal. He said, CPM is creating all these law and order situations for purely political reasons as they want to differ the elections. Actually they fear the general electorate of the state who are looking forward to the next elections. They know that they will be routed in the next elections. Therefore they are creating such disturbing situations in north Bengal in order to differ it. Mr. Chatterjee also added that, whenever there is an election CPM creates a divide-and-rule situation north Bengal to reap political benefits. Sometimes they are after the Gorkhas, sometimes the Rajbanshis, sometimes they woo the KLO or something else to create a factional political atmosphere in north Bengal. Even this time they are creating trouble when the people of north Bengal are waiting to see Mamata Banerjee in the chair of Chief Minister of the state. Therefore he exclaimed, the Trinamool Congress wants the next assembly elections as soon as possible.
