TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu meets WB CM
Ahead of the Lok Sabha poll Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu Monday met West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna on February 10 and showed his keenness in forming a Federal Front.
After the meeting, Mr Naidu said: “Discussions are on with different political parties on the formation of a Federal Front and today I discussed with Ms. Banerjee the prospect of such a front. It was a very fruitful discussion and we are hopeful of forming a Federal Front.”
The TDP chief described the meeting as `positive` and expressed optimism about a Federal Front securing the required number of seats to form a government at the Centre. Mr Naidu also discussed with Miss Banerjee the issue of the formation of the Telangana state. His party will continue to oppose the Telangana Bill that has been sent to the President of India for his assent, he added.

মাস আড়াই আগেই এসেছিলেন অন্ধ্রপ্রদেশের ওয়াইএসআর কংগ্রেসের প্রধান জগন্মোহন রেড্ডি। এবার তেলুগু দেশম পার্টি (টিডিপি)-র প্রধান চন্দ্রবাবু নায়ডুও নবান্নে এসে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সঙ্গে দেখা করে গেলেন। বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে জগন্মোহন আর চন্দ্রবাবু দু`জনেরই আলোচনার বিষয়বস্তু অবশ্য এক। ভোটের মুখে ফেডারেল ফ্রন্ট গঠন।
সোমবার নবান্নে বৈঠকের পরে অন্ধ্রের প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রবাবু জানান, ফেডারেল ফ্রন্ট নিয়ে আলোচনা ইতিবাচক।
গত ৩০ জানুয়ারি ব্রিগেডে কেন্দ্রে অ–কংগ্রেস এবং অ–বিজেপি সরকার গড়ার ডাক দিয়েছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। বিভিন্ন রাজ্যে তাঁদের বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে জোরদার ফেডারেল ফ্রন্ট গড়ার কথাও বলেছিলেন তিনি।
নবান্ন থেকে বেরিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় চন্দ্রবাবু বলেন, “আমাদের মধ্যে ফেডারেল ফ্রন্ট গঠন নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়েছে। আলোচনা যথেষ্ট ইতিবাচক।” এ দিনের বৈঠকে লোকসভার আসন্ন অধিবেশনে তেলঙ্গানা বিল নিয়েও মমতার সমর্থন চেয়েছেন চন্দ্রবাবু।
চন্দ্রবাবুর সঙ্গে তাঁর বৈঠকে কোন বিষয়ে কতটা কী আলোচনা হয়েছে, তা নিয়ে কোনও মন্তব্য করেননি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এ বিষয়ে প্রশ্ন করা হলে তিনি জানান, এটা ছিল সৌজন্য–সাক্ষাৎ।
