The first Biswa Bangla store opens at Kolkata Airport
The first of the `Biswa Bangla` showrooms to be located at Kolkata Airport was been inaugurated today by the Chief Minister of West Bengal through remote control, at a public function in Raidighi.
It will be thrown open to the public from 26th February; anyone can visit the store and buy everything best that Bengal has to offer, all under one roof.
“The Biswa Bangla store brings to you Bengal`s heritage and products with GI. It will provide wider markets within and outside India to the State`s artisans, weavers, micro and small entrepreneurs” wrote the Chief Minister on her Facebook page.
The huge array of items available the store would include:
Food and sweets:
- Rice – Tulai Panji, Organic Govindo Bhog, Organic Radha Tilak and more varities
- Kasundi , Aam Satta, Goyna Bori, Nalin Gur,Patali Gur
- Honey from Sunderban, Malda,
- TEA – Darjeeling 1st Flush, 2nd Flush, Organic.
- SWEETS – Rassogolla, Pantua, Shaktigarh Langcha, Joynogorer Moa, Bardhaman Sitabhog and Mihidana, Misti doi, Nalin gurer sandesh, Krishnanagorer sharbhaja&sarpuria, Naru, Pattisapta, Kalimpong Cheese
- SAREES – Jamdani, Shantipuri, Muslin, Dhanekhali, and many more.
