“In a parliamentary democracy, the Opposition and the Govt. must have equal rights. Parliament is the platform where the Opposition holds the Govt. to account. It cannot be bulldozed. What we witnessed in the Rajya Sabha today is deeply unfortunate. MPs have the right to enter the Well of the House to draw attention to urgent issues. But today, marshals were deployed to push us back. What next? Will they call in the Army to stop us from protesting?”
