Dr Santanu Sen asks a Question on integrative medicine

FULL TRANSCRIPT
Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA & NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Minister is aware of the growing differences between Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s National Health Authority (NHA) over the practice of ‘integrative medicine’; and
(b) if so, the details of alternative treatments that the AYUSH Ministry has talked about?
FIRST SUPPLEMENTARY QUESTION
Sir, my first supplementary is that YOGA , AYURVEDA, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY, all these are very age-old systems of medicine in our country, but sometimes you see that instead of promoting these, in each and every system there is a tendency of promoting MIXO-PATHY. Why so Sir?
SECOND SUPPLEMENTARY QUESTION
In our state of West Bengal, under the leadership of our Health Minister-cum-Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, one medical college at Belur on YOGA NATUROPATHY is going to open. A budget of nearly Rs 67 crore was sent to our Government of India. But unfortunately they promised only Rs 9 crore, out of which only Rs 5 crore has been sent to State Government. What about the next allotment?
Secondly, 10 acres of land was asked from the Government of India by our state of West Bengal for research purposes, which has been sanctioned already by our Hon. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. We didn’t get any communication from the Central Government.
