“You must answer… or you must step down.” This was the message ringing through the corridors outside Parliament today, as Trinamool Congress MPs gathered in a powerful show of unity and resistance. They stood shoulder to shoulder demanding the release of MGNREGA funds, money that the Centre has blocked for no other reason than political vendetta. ₹52,000 crore represents wages that lakhs of Bengal’s poorest families have been waiting for.
