Rare books being digitised by Bengal Library Service Dept for easier access
The digital repository of the West Bengal Public Library Network can provide rare books which are under the collections of various libraries across Bengal.
The West Bengal Public Library Network has taken the initiative to upload the books in an electronic form or simply in the form of e-books. Many book lovers are getting this benefit as there are some rare books stored in the collection of the digital repository. The digital repository can search through a wide range of collection of books and a user can use the feature from the search option. The website also has several options to choose subjects. The browsers can find out their choice of books from among the subjects.
This repository has been initiated with the assistance of Mass Education and Extension and Library Service Department of the state government. Centre for Development of Advance Computing has also helped the department to take this initiative. The digital repository of the West Bengal Public Library Network aimed to provide free services to academicians, researchers and students.
দুষ্প্রাপ্য বই এর ডিজিটাল কোষ তৈরী করল রাজ্য গ্রন্থাগার বিভাগ
বহু দুষ্প্রাপ্য বই এবার ডিজিটাল পদ্ধতিতে সংরক্ষণ করে একটি অনলাইন কোষ তৈরির উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে রাজ্য গ্রন্থাগার বিভাগ। রাজ্যজুড়ে বিভিন্ন সরকারি গ্রন্থাগারে যত দুষ্প্রাপ্য বই আছে, এই বিভাগ সেই সব বইগুলিকে পাঠকদের কাছে ইলেক্ট্রনিক বা ই-বুক মাধ্যমে পাঠকদের কাছে পৌঁছে দেবে এই পাবলিক লাইব্রেরি নেটওয়ার্ক।
বহু বইপ্রেমী এই পরিষেবায় উপকৃত হবেন। বিপুল বইয়ের ভাণ্ডার রয়েছে সরকারি গ্রন্থাগারগুলিতে। পাঠক সার্চ করে নিজের পছন্দের বইটি খুঁজে পেতে পারবেন। ওয়েবসাইটে বিষয়ভিত্তিক সার্চও করা যাবে।
ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল পাবলিক লাইব্রেরী নেটওয়ার্ক শিক্ষক, গবেষক ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের এই পরিষেবা সম্পূর্ণ বিনামুল্যে দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।
