Khel City to come up at Dumurjola in Howrah
In a bid to improve infrastructure for sporting activities, the Bengal Government has decided to construct a multi-sports facility called Khel City at Dumurjola in the district of Howrah. A state-of-the-art cricket stadium will also come up at Khel City.
A survey has been conducted and the plan has already been chalked out to set up the sports city.
All aspects of sports activities will be brought under one umbrella at Khel City. With setting up of the city, there will be infrastructure for cricket, football and other sports including swimming. There will be both outdoor and indoor facilities.
Since, with the development of the modern infrastructure, people from outside will also start flowing in, a hotel has also been planned for their accommodation.
