Jawhar Sircar (Rajya Sabha) on 20.12.22 asked during Question Hour that why shouldn’t there be a division of cesses and surcharges between Union and state govts
Sir, cesses and surcharges have been converted into an alternate source of revenue. Why should not the division be formally announced between the States and the Centre? It is an alternate source of revenue going up from 15 to 28 per cent.
