Giant LED screens to showcase Govt projects in different parts of Kolkata and districts

The West Bengal government has decided to install giant LED screens in various parts of the state to showcase its projects. To start with, the information and cultural affairs (I&CA) department will install some information display screens in the city. Later, the campaign will be taken to the districts too.

The information display boards, that will be installed in the subdivisions also, will make people aware of government policies. Two spots for the installation of giant LEDs have been selected -one on the top of the toll plaza at Vidya Sagar Setu and another in front of the Kolkata Information Centre near Rabindra Sadan. Works for installing an LED screen on the toll plaza s on, two such screens will be on display at the toll plaza.

Earlier, it was decided that the display boards will be installed in all district headquarters to showcase he good works of the state government. To take on the negative publicity by media, the I&CA will highlight the works of the government. Projects like `Kanyashree and `Yuvashree’, will be highlighted.

Once he installation is complete the inaugural session of the Kolkata Film festival can also be telecast live on these display screens. The I&CA officials are looking into the echnical details of the display boards so that there is no glitch once it is inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
