Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission opens circuit bench in Siliguri
Good news for the people of north Bengal. West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has set up a circuit bench in Siliguri. It was inaugurated on June 22.
The districts being covered by the circuit bench are Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
All appeals and revisions petitions against decisions by the district forums of the above-mentioned districts and new cases involving monetary disputes ranging from above Rs 20 lakh and up to Rs 1 crore would be handled by the bench.
