BJP distributing money for votes: Mamata Banerjee at Diamond Harbour
Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee addressed an election rally at Diamond Harbour today. She said the BJP is distributing money for votes adding that one BJP candidate was caught carrying money.
“An associate of the state president was caught with crore rupees and he confessed that it would be used for election. They are using unfair means and no one, least of all the EC, can raise a finger against them,” she said.

The BJP and its leaders have to prove that Trinamool workers had broken the statue. If they cannot, then they will have to face punishment. They have brought in gundas from outside, who regularly cause trouble, to do the damage that evening (at Vidyasagar College). Modi did not express regret even once about the vandalism.

They are so much afraid of us, they instructed the EC to end campaigning after Modi speeches today. But that will not affect us. We have done enough work and are confident that we will sail through smoothly.
Modi has not done anything for you and will not be able to do so in future as well. His ‘achhe din’ promise has proved to be false. He has misled you and continues to do so with his false statements.
We are a peaceful people in Bangla. We know how to live with one another. But the BJP are bent on creating divisions along communal and parochial grounds. They want to create hatred to suit their own sinister ends. Be careful of them.
So it is up to you to remove these corrupt people who manipulate all central govt departments for their own benefit. One by one, they are controlling all the constitutional bodies that we thought all these days could not be interfered with. If they continue, they will change the Constitution and further impose policies that are unwelcome and disastrous for us.
A person who says no progress, no puja, no ceremonies are happening in Bangla has no room not only in this state but the whole country as well. Latest reports are saying that he is losing seats in most of the states. From where will he get majority?
