Bengal Govt recruiting 1,600 fire operators
The Bengal Government has decided to recruit 1,600 fire operators. It is after a long time that the Fire Department is recruiting so many fire operators at one go.
Many new fire stations have been set up by the Trinamool Congress Government. Posts at many fire stations have also been increased. These recruitments are meant to fill up all these vacancies, as well as those created by personnel retiring.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) will be conducting the test, which would comprise of a written test followed by a viva. The tentative date for the written test is September 15, which would be held at 27 centres across the State.
The minimum educational standard for an applicant is Madhyamik and the minimum age should be 18, as on January 1, 2018. There would be reservations as per standard norms. All rules and regulations regarding the application can be accessed online.
