State Health Dept to introduce SMS alert system to fight dengue
The State Health Department is developing an SMS alert system to improve the monitoring and effective implementation of house-to-house surveillance for prevention and control of dengue.
Rs 12.2 lakh has been allocated for the first phase of the project, to be implemented by the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA).
People throughout the state will be able to avail various services in this regard through SMS messages. The Health Department will be able to send messages to people, especially important in dengue-prone areas, and vice versa, suspected victims of dengue and their family members will also be able to get in touch with the Health Department.
Patients will get to know information about treatment facilities available in State Government-run health centres, blood testing facilities, etc.
Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has taken up a similar initiative to check the spread of dengue, malaria and the other vector-borne diseases. KMC is also going to introduce a mobile application for providing information relating to the KMC-run health centres and the various health services that it provides.

ডেঙ্গু প্রতিরোধ করতে একটি এসএমএস সচেতনতা সিস্টেম তৈরি করছে রাজ্য স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তর ।রাজ্য নগরোন্নয়ন সংস্থা এই প্রকল্পের প্রথম পর্যায়ের জন্য ১২.২লক্ষ টাকা বরাদ্দ করেছে।
এই এসএমএস বার্তার মাধ্যমে রাজ্যবাসী ডেঙ্গু প্রতিরোধ সহ অন্যান্য পরিষেবা সংক্রান্ত অনেক পরিষেবা পাবে। স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তর সকলকে এসএমএস বার্তা পাঠাবে বিশেষত ডেঙ্গু প্রবণ অঞ্চলগুলিতে। পাশাপাশি ডেঙ্গু পীড়িত মানুষ ও তার পরিবার পরিজনও স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরকে এসএমএস করে নানারকম অনুসন্ধান করতে পারবেন।
রাজ্য সরকার পরিচালিত স্বাস্থ্য ক্যাম্পগুলোতে রক্ত পরীক্ষা সহ আর কি কি পরিষেবা পেতে পারেন তা জানতে পারবেন জনসাধারন।
মশাবাহিত রোগ ডেঙ্গু, ম্যালেরিয়া প্রতিরোধ করতে কলকাতা মিউনিসিপাল কর্পোরেশনও একই রকম উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে। তারাও খুব শীঘ্রই একটি মোবাইল অ্যাপলিকেশন তৈরি করতে চলেছে, যেখানে কলকাতা মিউনিসিপাল কর্পোরেশন পরিচালিত স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে কি কি পরিষেবা পাওয়া যায়, তার বিস্তারিত বিবরণ থাকবে।
