Mamata Banerjee completes five years on Facebook
Mamata Banerjee has completed five years on Facbook. On June 15, 2012, the Didi of the masses took to social media to connect with common people. Ever since her Faceboook page has been a reflection of her politics as well as personal self.
Didi’s first post on Facebook, which started with Tagore’s lines, reflected her political views as well on the then Presidential Election.
Mamata Banerjee has been using her Facebook page to reflect her views on different issues, ranging from the success of the Bengal Government under Trinamool, offering pictorial glimpses of different programmes under the State government that she initiated, live videos, social campaigns like Safe Drive Save Live and a Facebook Live Chat.
The huge Brigade rally held on January 30, 2014, some of the Ekushe July rallies and the Oath-taking ceremony of the Trinamool Government for the second term in 2016 – all were cast live from her FB page.
Mamata Banerjee did her first Facebook Live Chat on April 13, 2016, which took place for more than an hour. She answered to almost all the questions that were asked, ranging from politics to her favourite food.

গত বৃহস্পতিবার ফেসবুকে পাঁচ বছর সম্পন্ন করলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। ২০১২ সালের ১৫ই জুন জনগণের দিদি জনসাধারণের সঙ্গে আরও যোগাযোগ বাড়ানোর উদ্দেশ্যে ফেসবুকে আসেন। সেই থেকে তাঁর ফেসবুক পেজ তাঁর রাজনৈতিক ও পাশাপাশি ব্যাক্তিগত জীবনের প্রতিচ্ছবি।
দিদির ফেসবুকের প্রথম পোস্ট ছিল কবিগুরুর লাইন তুলে, যার মধ্যে দিয়ে উঠে এসেছিল তৎকালীন রাশ্ত্রপতি নির্বাচন নিয়ে তাঁর রাজনৈতিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির।
মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ফেসবুকের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন সময়ে বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে তাঁর বক্তব্য তুলে ধরেছেন জনসাধারণের সামনে। যেমন তৃণমূল সরকারের বিভিন্ন সময়ে বিভিন্ন সাফল্যের কথা তুলে ধরেছেন, তেমনই ফটোর মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরেছেন রাজ্য সরকারের বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানের কথা। লাইভ ভিডিওও করেছেন তিনি, সমাজ সচেতনতার বার্তা যেমন সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ ও তুলে ধরেছেন তাঁর ফেসবুক পেজে। লাইভ চ্যাটও করেছেন তিনি জনগণের সঙ্গে।
২০১৪ সালের ৩০শে জানুয়ারির ব্রিগেড মিছিল বা একুশে জুলাইয়ের মিছিল বা তৃণমূল সরকারের দ্বিতীয় শপথ গ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠান সব তুলে ধরা হয় ফেসবুক লাইভের মাধ্যমে তাঁর পেজে।
মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় তাঁর প্রথম লাইভ চ্যাট করেন ২০১৬ সালের ১৩ই এপ্রিল, যা চলেছিল এক ঘণ্টারও বেশী। যেখানে তিনি প্রায় সব প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন সে রাজনীতির হোক বা প্রিয় খাবারের।
