Lok Sabha MP Abu Taher Khan’s Zero Hour mention on the demand for the government to solve the financial crisis of Aligarh Muslim University, a central university and for ensuring the proper running of the university’s second campus in Murshidabad district of Bengal
Thank you, madam. I would like to draw your kind attention to a very important issue. Aligarh University plays a leading role in the field of education in India. Among the universities that exist, especially for minority Muslims, Aligarh University is one of the most important institutions. There is a financial crisis going on in that university and no matter what is being said by this government, they are not paying attention to this university. Unfortunately, this educational institution is being sabotaged. Besides, Aligarh University has a second campus in Murshidabad. It has been ten years but no measures are being taken to ensure proper management of that campus. This second campus is in dire financial straits. And no work is being done in the educational upliftment of this university as well.
