Thank you Madam. There is lack of public awareness about plastic wastes. Repeated attempts have been made to ban plastic bags, but with no avail. Use of plastic bags and plastic pouches have to be banned. Pollution on account of plastic waste is enormous and is reaching an alarming proportion. The sooner we ban plastic use or attain to use the plastic material, the better. Under such a scenario, Madam, what innovative measures have been initiated by the Ministry to ban plastic bags and the use of plastic materials which result in pollution?
