Chief Minister inaugurates various projects at Buniyadpur

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee addressed a meeting at Buniyadpur in Dinajpur (S). She inaugurated a series of packages and projects including two-railway projects.  

The Chief Minister had a tough time reaching the venue due to the large crowd waiting to get a glimpse of their favourite Didi. She stopped her convoy and was compelled to walk to the venue. An ever energetic Chief Minister reciprocated their love and affection by waving hands. `I thank you all for coming inspite of the scorching heat as I realized while walking eight-kilometers, hence I will not take much of your time and wind up the meeting soon`, said Chief Minister who requested the crowd to maintain discipline, `I request the administration to shift the females to the shade as they may fall sick due to heat and also want my brothers to stand in the shades`, added Ms. Banerjee..

Chief Minister paid her tributes to the martyrs` of the Tebhaga Movement, `It gives me immense pride to feel that the place where I am standing today has great significance in the history. We have decided to construct two drama academies at Balurghat and Kakdwip respectively`. `We have taken the initiative to issue Kisan Credit Cards to farmers and you will be happy to know that till now we have issued 1,80,000 Kisan Credit Cards. I will request all the farmers to enlist their names with the crop insurance. In this scheme you do not suffer if your crops are destroyed as the insurance will take care of your loss. Remember the farmer is not required to pay anything since the premium is being paid by the state government

`I want to request the railway authorities to take note of the connecting train from Balurghat to Kolkata used to catch Gour Express is never on time as a result the commuters face huge problem and often miss the Gour Express. I want you to see that the connecting train runs on time`, said Ms. Banerjee. Apart from that Chief Minister said that Balurghat Express will be renamed as Tebhaga Express and will ply on six-days a week in place three-days. `We will add two air-conditioned coaches to the existing train, I am sure this will help to solve your problems to a large extent`, smiled Ms. Banerjee. 

An aggrieved Didi requested the parents not to scold or beat their children on small issues and not to reprimand them for performing bad in exams as such things may cause psychological disorder and will take some drastic step, `I know this is wrong but then this young generation is taking such steps and it is quite alarming but I request you not to scold them as they are precious, they are young will learn from their mistakes`, said Chief Minister.  

That her government was concerned about the On the development of health facilities Chief Minister said she was concerned over poor health facility in the district and have decided to construct two-super specialty hospitals at Balurghat and Gangarampur respectively. She said North Bengal development Board has already sanctioned 10-crore rupees for the development and up-gradation of Balurghat hospital. `We are planning to build and upgrade the health centres and I have give instructions to concerned authority. There will be mother and child hub and two-sick newborn care units (SNCU) `. Also there are plans to upgrade various hospitals and increase the beds to accommodate more patients. In Gangarampur, there is a plan to construct a blood bank, `Do donate your blood for the good cause and to save human life but abstain from blood shed for wrong reasons`, smiled Didi.
