Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today visited the Parliament where she met leaders of various political parties. She met MPs from TRS, TDP, RJD, DMK and the Shiv Sena. The CM held a meeting with NCP leader Sharad Pawar Ji also.

Following the meetings, the Trinamool Chairperson addressed the media at the party office in Parliament.

Highlights of her speech:

Today, they (govt at the Centre) appear to have captured everything. Just see, before the EC announces the dates (of Karnataka elections), the party is tweeting it. What is this? All the agencies are being used and misused like anything. It’s not for any political party to know… this is a very bad gesture.

Be it the TDP, the Shiv Sena, or TRS, they were all with the BJP. Now they have all left. Which party does the BJP have good ties with? And if Akhilesh (Yadav) and Mayawati are together, then no one can do anything.

False news are being spread by the BJP after it sets itself up with the media. They use money to spread fake news. I don’t believe a single bit of it.

Mayawati ji is a national leader and I respect her. If she and Akhilesh (Yadav) call a meeting in Lucknow and invite us, we will all go. And they should offer us a cup of tea!

I was with NDA once when Atal ji was in charge. There was no problem. But now they are in control of everything, including the media. If the judiciary and the media are controlled from somewhere, then how will democracy function? You all write about them, but also write what the Opposition says. Now, 80 per cent of the news is fake news. Why should it be that those who have money can only do politics?

Political parties must sacrifice for the people, they must do social work. They just can’t brag about building the largest party office in the country. Politics means dedication and devotion. It is not a business, not a commercial obligation. It is a social compulsion. That is the basic difference between the political parties and the others.

I have been an MP for seven terms – I have served as the minister in different departments; I have been part of standing committees. I can sense the mood of the Parliament. All I can say about 2019 is that the mood in Parliament is different. Members have started, what shall I say, packing their bags.

Otherwise how will you explain a no-confidence motion, whichever party’s it may be, lying in the House with no discussion? Opposition parties want discussion. But if one of them, the AIADMK, have their demands, the other parties too have theirs. They should understand that. Had Jayalalitha Ji been alive now, she would not have supported this (action of AIADMK). It is unfortunate she is no more. I had great respect for her. But now they will not listen to any other party. We have not brought a no-confidence, but we should listen to what the others who have have to say. Even the BJP is afraid – several MPs will not vote (in favour of the government). That is what I’ve heard… those who have not got tickets… that is what is doing the rounds.

The DMK will win in Tamil Nadu with a landslide; in Telangana TRS, and Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP is also pretty good in Andhra. Regarding BSP-SP alliance, sometimes there are political compulsions. That is political adjustment, political reality. The Shiv Sena is also fighting (against the BJP). There is no party more communal than the BJP. In the name of Hinduism, they organise rallies with pistols in their hands. They are giving Hinduism a bad name.

We want to work together. No one should remain isolated. Wherever someone is strong, they should be allowed to lead. If in UP Mayawati and Akhilesh are strong, they should work together. We should help them. In Tamil Nadu, we should help the DMK. Like this there are some other states where a regional party is strong. We have to help them. Like TRS in Telangana; we will help them. In Bihar, we will help Lalu Ji, while in Odisha, the BJD is strong; we will help Naveen Pattanaik. That is how it should be done, so that the contest is one is to one.

I just had a meeting with Sharad Pawar Ji… we are all of the same opinion. I met some parties today and will again meet some other parties tomorrow. I’ll be meeting Shatrughan Sinha, Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shourie – they will be coming to my house tomorrow. Sonia (Gandhi) Ji is not well. I sent Dinesh Trivedi to her house to enquire about her health. Let her recover. I keep in touch with her every day.

The data stealing is bad. Everyone’s data has been stolen. And even at this moment, when I am talking with you, there may be a sting operation going on. Politics has been replaced by sting operations. You pay money and get something done against someone. That is what is happening now. I’m surprised. Leaders are saying they have to gamble and end the careers of their adversaries. I have never heard such things before.

I will keep raising my voice against linking Aadhaar to bank accounts and phones. Even if nobody is there, I will raise my voice alone. It has been proved now. There are no rights – no privacy, no fundamental or democratic rights… where will the people go? Is this a democratic country? Even after the Supreme Court gave an observation that a Constitution Bench will take it (Aadhaar linking issue) up, the banks are sending messages every day to link… this a contempt of the Supreme Court.

And it’s not just Cambridge Analytica… with money, they are using and misusing various agencies. I respect bureaucrats. But I will appeal to them not to misuse everything that is asked for by a political party for its gain. A party is in power today and will be gone tomorrow. Why should they be victimised for that?

And the media too – I don’t blame you because you are the employees. But the media owners should understand. All the support is one-sided. Democracy means both the sides should have a voice. All these dealings have come out in Cobrapost. We have seen everything… Are all these signs of ‘achhe din?’ It either has to be an impartial institution or a BJP institution. What should it be, you say? It is very unfortunate that all the agencies are being controlled like this. It is not good for the country. What are we leaving for the future generations?

Everyone must come out boldly and tell the truth. It doesn’t matter if they send the ED or CBI – we are not afraid of that.

One thing that the media must take notice of is that a message has gone across the country, to the grassroots. After demonetisation, GST, and bank fraud, whether you admit it or not, the amount of harassment the public has faced has resulted in this government losing all its credibility, all its credentials. It’s credibility has become zero. It is not the people’s choice now. And they are still giving threats…

I have gone to all the states. They have their own compulsions. That is why we respect all the states.

 

বিজেপির সময় শেষ হয়ে এসেছে: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ দিল্লীতে সংসদ ভবনে যান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সেখানে দলের কার্যালয়ে তিনি বিভিন্ন দলের সাংসদদের সাথে দেখা করেন। টিডিপি, টিআরএস, আরজেডি, ডি এম কে ও  শিব সেনার সাংসদদের সাথে দেখা করেন তিনি। এনসিপি নেতা শরদ পাওয়ারের সাথে বৈঠক করেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বৈঠক শেষে সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

তার বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশ:

এই মুহূর্তে, কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার সবকিছু নিয়ন্ত্রণ করার চেষ্টা করছে। যেমন, আজ নির্বাচন কমিশন কর্নাটকে নির্বাচনের দিন ঘোষণা করার আগেই দল টুইট করে জানাচ্ছে। এটা কোনও রাজনৈতিক দলের জানার কথা না। এসব কি হচ্ছে? সমস্ত সাংবিধানিক সংস্থাকে ইচ্ছেমতো ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে… খুব খারাপ সঙ্কেত।

টিডিপি, শিবসেনা, টিআরএস – সকলেই বিজেপির সঙ্গে ছিল, এখন সবাই জোট ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে গেছে। কোন দলের সঙ্গে বিজেপির ভালো সম্পর্ক আছে? অখিলেশ ও মায়াবতীর জোট হলে, তাঁদের হারানো সহজ হবে না।

মিডিয়ার সাহায্যে ভুল তথ্য ছড়ানো হচ্ছে। ওরা ভুল তথ্য ছড়াতে টাকা ব্যবহার করছে। আমি তাদের একটুও বিশ্বাস করি না।

মায়াবতী একজন জাতীয় নেত্রী, আমি তাকে শ্রদ্ধা করি। তিনি ও অখিলেশ (যাদব) যদি লখনৌতে কোনও বৈঠক করেন ও আমায় আমন্ত্রণ করেন, আমি অবশ্যই যাব। এক কাপ চাও খেতে পারি।

অটলজির সময় আমিও এনডিএতে ছিলাম। তখনকার বিজেপি আর এখনকার বিজেপিতে আকাশ-পাতাল ফারাক। এখন কেন্দ্র সব কিছু নিয়ন্ত্রণ করছে, এমনকি মিডিয়াকেও। যদি সংবাদমাধ্যম এবং আইন ব্যবস্থা কেউ নিয়ন্ত্রন করে, গণতন্ত্র কি করে থাকবে? তোমরা ওদের (বিজেপি) কথা লেখো, সঙ্গে বিরোধীদের কথাও বল। এখনকার খবরের ৮০ শতাংশই ভুল তথ্য (ফেক নিউস)। যাদের টাকা আছে তারাই শুধু রাজনীতি করতে পারবে?

রাজনৈতিক দলগুলি মানুষের জন্য ত্যাগ করবে, সমাজের কাজ করবে। দেশের সবথেকে দামী পার্টি অফিস তৈরী করাতে কোন গরিমা নেই। রাজনীতি মানে ডেডিকেশন, ডিভোশান। এটি কোনও ব্যবসাও নয়, অর্থ উপার্জনের মাধ্যমও না। রাজনীতি একটি সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা। এটাই মূল তফাত একটি রাজনৈতিক দল ও অন্যদের মধ্যে।

আমি সাত বারের সাংসদ। আমি অনেক দপ্তরের মন্ত্রীও ছিলাম, স্ট্যান্ডিং কমিটিতেও ছিলাম। আমি সংসদের মুড বুঝি। আমি ২০১৯ এর ব্যাপারে বলতে পারি, সংসদের মুড বদলাচ্ছে। অনেক সাংসদরা ব্যাগ গোছাতে শুরু করেছেন।

নয়তো অনাস্থা প্রস্তাব আটকে থাকে কি করে? আলোচনা করতে দেওয়া হচ্ছে না। বিরোধীরা আলোচনা চায়। যদি এআইএডিএমকের দাবি থাকে, বাকিদেরও আছে। এটা ওদের বোঝা উচিত। জয়ললিতা জি বেঁচে থাকলে, উনিও এই আচরনের বিরোধিতা করতেন। দুঃখজনক যে তিনি আজ আর নেই। ওনার প্রতি আমার পূর্ণ শ্রদ্ধা আছে। আমরা অনাস্থা প্রস্তাব আনি নি। কিন্তু, অন্যদের কথা শোনা উচিত। এমনকি বিজেপিও ভয় পাচ্ছে যে তাদের সব সাংসদ সরকারের পক্ষে ভোট দেবে না। আমি তো এমনটাই শুনেছি।

ডিএমকে তামিলনাড়ুতে জিতবে, তেলেঙ্গানায় টিআরএস, অন্ধ্রতে টিডিপি। এসপি-বিএসপি জোট নিয়ে বলব, আনেক রাজনৈতিক দায়বদ্ধতা থাকে, কড়া সত্য। শিবসেনাও লড়ছে (বিজেপির বিরুদ্ধে)। বিজেপির মত আর কোনও সাম্প্রদায়িক দল নেই। হিন্দুত্বের নাম করে তারা বন্দুক নিয়ে মিছিল করছে। তারা হিন্দুত্বের বদনাম করছে।

আমরা একসঙ্গে কাজ করতে চাই। কেউ যেন বাদ না যায়। যে যেখানে শক্তিশালী, তাকে সেখানে লড়তে দেওয়া উচিত। উত্তর প্রদেশে অখিলেশ ও মায়াবতী শক্তিশালী, তামিলনাড়ুতে ডিএমকে। তাদের সাহায্য করা উচিত। অন্যান্য রাজ্যে স্থানীয় রাজনৈতিক দল শক্তিশালী হলে, তাদের সাহায্য করা উচিত। তেলেঙ্গানায় টিআরএস, বিহারে লালুজিকে আমরা সাহায্য করব, ওড়িশায় নবীন পট্টনায়েকের বিজেডিকে সাহায্য করব। যাতে লড়াইটা একের বিরুদ্ধে একের হয়।

এখন শরদ পাওয়ারের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করলাম, আমাদের সকলের এক বক্তব্য। কিছু দলের সঙ্গে আজ দেখা করেছি, কিছু দলের সঙ্গে কাল দেখা করব। শত্রুঘ্ন সিনহা, যশবন্ত সিনহা, অরুণ শৌরী আমার বাড়ি কাল আসবেন। সনিয়া গান্ধী অসুস্থ, আমি দীনেশ ত্রিবেদীকে পাঠিয়েছি ওনার খবর নিতে। আমি রোজ খবর নিই।

তথ্য চুরির ঘটনা খুবই উদ্বেগজনক, সকলের তথ্য চুরি হয়ে গেছে। এই যে আমি এখন আপনার সঙ্গে কথা বলছি, হয়ত এখনও স্টিং অপারেশন চলছে। রাজনীতি এখন স্টিং অপারেশনের ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে। টাকা দিয়ে যে কেউ তার বিরোধীদের বিরুদ্ধে যা ইচ্ছে করতে পারে। এখন এটাই হচ্ছে। অনেক নেতা ভয় পাচ্ছেন। আগে কোনোদিন আমি এরকম কিছু শুনিনি।

আমি ব্যাঙ্ক অ্যাকাউন্ট ও ফোনের সাথে আধার লিংক করার বিরোধিতা করে যাব। যদি সাথে কেউ না থাকে, তবুও, আমি একা লড়ে যাব। মানুষের এখন কোনও অধিকারই নেই – না গণতান্ত্রিক, না মৌলিক, না ব্যাক্তিগত। মানুষ যাবে কোথায়? একটি গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে এটা সম্ভব? সুপ্রিম কোর্টও অবজারভেশন দিয়েছিল যে, আধার মামলা সাংবিধানিক বেঞ্চ শুনবে। ততদিন আধার লিংক করাতে হবে না। তবুও ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে মেসেজ এসেই চলেছে। এটা সুপ্রিম কোর্টের অবমাননা।

শুধু কেমব্রিজ অ্যানালেটিকা নয়, টাকার সাহায্যে, বিভিন্ন এজেন্সির অপব্যবহার করছে কেন্দ্র। আমি আমলাদের সন্মান করি। আমি তাদের অনুরোধ করব কোনও একটি বিশেষ রাজনৈতিক দলকে সুবিধা পাইয়ে দিতে তারা যেন ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার না করেন। আজ একটি দল ক্ষমতায় আছে, কাল হয়ত তারা ক্ষমতায় থাকবে না। আমলারা কেন ভুগবেন?

সংবাদমাধ্যমও… আমি সাংবাদিকদের দশ দিয়ি না, তারা তো কর্মচারী মাত্র। যারা সংবাদমাধ্যমের মালিক, তাদের বোঝা উচিত। তারা শুধু একতরফা ভাবে একটি দলকে সমর্থন করছে। গণতন্ত্রে দুতরফেরই বক্তব্য তুলে ধরা উচিত। গোপন অনেক ডিলের খবর ফাঁস করেছে কোবরাপোস্ট। সব দেখা হয়ে গেছে… এটাই কি আচ্ছে দিন? আজ যেকোনো প্রতিষ্ঠান হয় নিরপেক্ষ নয় বিজেপি-ঘেঁষা। এমনটা কেন হবে? এটা দেশের পক্ষে মঙ্গলকর নয়। পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের জন্য আমরা কি নিদর্শন রেখে যাচ্ছি?

সবার উচিত এগিয়ে এসে সত্যের পক্ষ সমর্থন করা। ওরা (কেন্দ্র) যদি ইডি, সিবিআই লাগিয়ে দেয়, আমরা ভয় পাই না।

সংবাদমাধ্যমের বোঝা উচিত যে দেশে তৃণমূল স্তর পর্যন্ত একটি বার্তা গেছে। নোটবন্দি, জিএসটি, ব্যাঙ্ক জালিয়াতির ফলে মানুষ ত্রস্ত। মিডিয়া মানুক না মানুক, দেশের মানুষ এই সরকারের ওপর আস্থা হারিয়েছে। মানুষের চোখে সরকারের বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতা তলানিতে ঠেকেছে। তবুও, তারা (কেন্দ্র) হুঁশিয়ারি দিচ্ছে।

আমি সব রাজ্যে গেছি। আমি তাদের বাধ্যবাধকতা বুঝি। তাই আমি সব রাজ্যকেই সম্মান করি।

Ever since assuming office, the development of the Hills has been a top priority for Mamata Banerjee. Unlike her predecessors, she visits the Darjeeling Hills very often, and has taken several initiatives for the welfare of the people of the region.

The Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) Act was notified in 2012. Thirty-five departments of the State Government have notified the setting up of their offices under GTA. More than Rs 3,925 crore has been allocated from the Hill Affairs Department for the Hills since then.

The situation in the region has remained peaceful due to the sustained efforts on the part of this government. Developmental measures aimed at benefiting the people in the Hill areas and Dooars have culminated in significant socio-economic improvement of the people residing in these areas.

 

Here are some of the development initiatives:

A. New District

  • Notable among the steps taken is creation of a separate district of Kalimpong and a separate sub-division of Mirik.

 

B. Development Boards

  • Sixteen development boards have been formed for the indigenous communities of the Hills and nearly Rs 320 crore has been disbursed to them for various developmental activities including the preservation and promotion of their ancient culture and traditions.

 

C. Infrastructure:

  • Renovation of NH-55 between Tindharia and Paglajhora and NH-10 between Sevoke and the Sikkim border, which were badly damaged due to landslides. has been taken up.
  • The construction of AH-2 and AH-48 is underway, which will improve the connectivity of Bengal with Sikkim, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
  • Construction of Bailey bridge at Bijanbari, Darjeeling has been completed.
  • Construction of two-storey building of Garidhura Police Outpost in Kurseong completed.
  • Special repair and renovation of Richmond Hill ( official residence of Chief Minister) in Darjeeling has been completed.

 

D.Tourism

  • In Kalimpong, eight cottages have been constructed within the premises of Morgan House Tourist Lodge.
  • NBDD, in collaboration with the Tourism and Forest Departments has established a tourism hub at Lamahata, Darjeeling district.
  • Two Cultural Tourism Centres are being developed in Kalimpong-I and Sukhiapokhri blocks for focusing of Lepcha culture and heritage.
  • One hundred-bedded youth hostel is under construction in Kalimpong.
  • Four executive class buses for foreign tourists as well as four small vehicles for local sightseeing have been introduced at a cost of Rs 2 crore.
  • In Darjeeling, an eco-friendly tourist lodge is being developed at Tiger Hill. The Siliguri Royal Tiger Safari has been introduced, which will be the first tiger safari in Bengal.

 

E. Education

  • Model schools in Sukna, Mongarjung and RKSP in Darjeeling district have been established. The model Schools have been commissioned.
  • Two degree colleges have been established in Pedong and Gorubathan.
  • An ITI and a polytechnic college are being built up in Kalimpong. Another ITI is being set up at Gorubathan.
  • In Kurseong, Dow Hill is being developed as an education hub. The Himalayan Centre of Presidency University is also being established at the same place.

 

F. Health

  • In Kalimpong, one high-dependency unit (HDU) has been set up. Eight SNSUs have been set up in the district of Darjeeling. Two CCUs have been established in Siliguri and Darjeeling.
  • Four fair price medicine shops have been set up in Darjeeling, Siliguri, Kurseong and Naxalbari.
  • In Kurseong, a medical college is being set up. Moreover, four sub-centres are ready to be commissioned.

 

G. Other initiatives

  • The government has decided to lay emphasis on eco and village tourism, setting up of new health centres, agriculture and horticulture as well as skill development schemes in the areas of hospitality, security services (unarmed), handloom, handicrafts etc.
  • The Himal-Terai-Dooars sports festivals are being held to encourage the youth of the region to participate in sports and games.
  • Rs 182.06 lakh allotted to Ram Krishna Sewa Ashram for the renovation of Roy Villa in Darjeeling. Memoirs of Sister Nivedita, during her stay at Darjeeling, and other valuable records have been kept there.
  • Residents of the Hills, including both workers and non-workers and their families of the tea gardens, have been included in the Khadya Sathi Scheme through which they get foodgrains at highly subsidised rates.

 

সাত বছরে পাহাড়ের সার্বিক উন্নয়নঃ এক নজরে

বিগত ৩৪ বছরের বাম আমলে কার্যত পাহাড় ছিল অবহেলিত। না ছিল কোনও উন্নয়নের প্রকল্প, না ছিল উন্নয়ন করার কোনও সদিচ্ছা বা পরিকল্পনা। ২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতা বদল হয়ে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস শাসনভার গ্রহণ করার পর থেকে পাহাড় হাসছে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় পাহাড়ের উন্নয়নকে পাখির চোখ করে একের পর এক প্রকল্প নেওয়া হয়েছে, পাহাড়ের পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষগুলোকে এগিয়ে আসার সুযোগ করে দেওয়া হয়েছে।

২০১২ সালে জিটিএ অ্যাক্টের বিজ্ঞপ্তি প্রকাশ করা হয়। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের ৩৫টি দপ্তর জিটিএ অ্যাক্টের অধীনে নিজেদের অফিস তৈরীর কথা ঘোষণা করেছে।
পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের পার্বত্য বিষয়ক বিভাগ গত ছয় বছরে পার্বত্য এলাকার উন্নয়নের জন্য ৩৯২৫ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ করে।

সরকারের দীর্ঘকালীন প্রচেষ্টার ফলে দার্জিলিং জেলা ও ডুয়ার্স অঞ্চলের পরিস্থিতি বর্তমানে স্বাভাবিক। উন্নয়নমুখী নানা প্রকল্পের ফলে পার্বত্য অঞ্চলের মানুষের আর্থ-সামাজিক পরিস্থিতি আগের চেয়ে ভালো হয়ে উঠেছে। ফলে সমগ্র অঞ্চলে বর্তমানে শান্তির পরিবেশ বজায় রয়েছে।

 

একনজরে দেখে নেওয়া যাক গত ছয় বছরে পাহাড়ের উন্নয়নের জন্য নেওয়া সরকারের কিছু পদক্ষেপঃ-

নতুন জেলা

  • একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য পদক্ষেপ হিসেবে কালিম্পং-কে একটি পৃথক জেলা ও মিরিক-কে পৃথক মহকুমা হিসেবে ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।

 

বোর্ড গঠন

  • স্থানীয় জনগোষ্ঠীগুলির উন্নয়নের কথা মাথায় রেখে ১৬টি বোর্ড গঠন করা হয়েছে। প্রাচীন ঐতিহ্য ও সংস্কৃতি সংরক্ষন-সহ অন্যান্য উন্নয়নমুখী প্রকল্পে ইতিমধ্যেই ৩২০ কোটি টাকা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

 

পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন

  • পার্বত্য এলাকায় সড়ক পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নে সরকার বিশেষ গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেছে।
  • ধসে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত তিনধরিয়া এবং পাগলাঝোরার মধ্যবর্তী ৫৫নম্বর জাতীয় সড়ক, সেবক ও সিকিমের মধ্যবর্তী ১০ নম্বর জাতীয় সড়কের সংস্কার চলছে।
  • এএইচ ২ এবং এএইচ ৪৮ এর নির্মাণের কাজ চলছে। এই দুটি সড়ক চালু হলে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের সঙ্গে সিকিম, নেপাল, বাংলাদেশ এবং ভুটানের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার প্রভূত উন্নতি হবে।
  • দার্জিলিঙের বিজনবাড়িতে বেইলি সেতুর নির্মাণকাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

 

পর্যটন

  • পার্বত্য অঞ্চলে পর্যটন শিল্পের বিকাশের জন্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার চেষ্টা করে চলেছে।
  • কালিম্পং-এ মর্গ্যান টুরিস্ট সংলগ্ন এলাকায় ৮টি কটেজ গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • লেপচা সংস্কৃতির ঐতিহ্যকে কেন্দ্র করে কালিম্পং-১ এবং সুখিয়াপোখরি ব্লকে ২টি সাংস্কৃতিক পর্যটন কেন্দ্র গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • কালিম্পং-এ ১০০টি আসনসম্পন্ন একটি ইয়ুথ হোস্টেল তৈরী করা হচ্ছে। নতুন পর্যটন কেন্দ্র গড়ে তোলার কাজে ইতিমধ্যেই ২৯.৪ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করা হয়েছে।
  • ২কোটি টাকা খরচ করে বিদেশী পর্যটকদের সুবিধার্থে ৪টি একজিকিউটিভ শ্রেণীর বাস এবং স্থানীয় জায়গাগুলি ঘুরে দেখার জন্য ৪টি ছোট গাড়ি কেনা হয়েছে।
  • দার্জিলিঙের টাইগার হিলে একটি পরিবেশবান্ধব টুরিস্ট লজ গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে।
  • পশ্চিমবঙ্গের প্রথম টাইগার সাফারি হিসাবে শিলিগুড়ি রয়্যাল টাইগার সাফারি গড়ে উঠেছে।
  • দার্জিলিং-এর লামাহাটায় উত্তরবঙ্গ উন্নয়ন বিভাগ, পর্যটন ও বোন দপ্তরের সহায়তায় একটি পর্যটন হাব স্থাপন করেছে এবং সেটি মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ২৭শে জানুয়ারি ২০১৩-এ উদ্বোধন করেছেন।
  • কালিম্পং-এ মর্গ্যান হাউস, হিলটপ এবং তাসিডাঙা টুরিস্ট লজের মেরামতি ও সংস্কার কাজ এবং জলদাপাড়া ও মূর্তিতে তাঁবু তৈরীর কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

 

শিক্ষা

  • সুকনা ও মোঙ্গরজঙেম, ডেলস্কুল, দার্জিলিং-এ আরকেএএসপি গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • ২০১৭-১৮’র শিক্ষাবর্ষে মডেল স্কুলগুলিতে পঠন-পাঠন চালু হবে।
  • পেডং এবং গরুবাথানে দুটি ডিগ্রী কলেজ গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • কালিম্পং-এ একটি নতুন আইটিআই এবং একটি পলিটেকনিক কলেজ গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। গরুবাথানে আরও একটি আইটিআই তৈরীর কাজ চলছে।
  • কার্শিয়াং-এর ডাওহিলকে একটি শিক্ষাকেন্দ্র হিসাবে গড়ে তোলার কাজ চলছে। এই অঞ্চলে প্রেসিডেন্সি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের হিমালয়ান সেন্টার গড়ে তোলার কাজ চলছে।

 

স্বাস্থ্য

  • কালিম্পং-এ একটি হাই ডিপেনডেন্সি ইউনিট (HDU) গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • দার্জিলিং জেলায় ৮টি এসএনএসইউ গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • শিলিগুড়ি এবং দার্জিলিং-এ ২টি সিসিইউ গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • দার্জিলিং, শিলিগুড়ি, কার্শিয়াং এবং নকশালবাড়িতে ৪টি ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান তৈরী করা হয়েছে।
  • কার্শিয়াং-এ একটি নতুন মেডিক্যাল কলেজ গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে। পাশাপাশি ১০০ বেডের ইএসআই হাসপাতাল গড়ে তোলা হচ্ছে শিলিগুড়িতে। এছাড়াও ৪টি উপকেন্দ্র কাজ শুরুর অপেক্ষায় রয়েছে।

  • স্থানীয় ছেলেমেয়েদের খেলাধূলায় উৎসাহ দেওয়ার জন্য হিমল-তরাই-ডুয়ার্স ক্রীড়া উৎসব অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে।
  • দার্জিলিং-এর রায়ভিলার সংস্কার কাজের জন্য রামকৃষ্ণ সেবা আশ্রমকে ১৮২.০৬ লক্ষ টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। দার্জিলিং-এ থাকাকালীন ভগিনী নিবেদিতার স্মৃতি এবং অন্যান্য মূল্যবান রেকর্ডসমূহ সেখানে রাখা হয়েছে। এটি দার্জিলিং-এর ভ্রমণ ম্যাপের সঙ্গে যুক্ত করার প্রস্তাব দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • দার্জিলিং-এর কার্শিয়াং-এ টয়লেট ব্লকসহ গাড়িধুরা পুলিশ ফাঁড়ির দোতলা ভবনের নির্মাণকাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

The Transport Minister recently presented his department’s budget for financial year 2018-19 in the Assembly. Stress has been given both on developing new services across land, water as well as air, and on improving the existing services.

The budget of the department for 2018-19 stands at Rs 1,588.81 crore, which is the highest budget for the Transport Department so far.

Three hundred new buses have already been introduced and steps have been taken to introduce more. He further said that 40 electric buses will be introduced in Kolkata soon. Another 10 electric buses in the Rajarhat-New Town area and 20 in Asansol and Durgapur will be introduced too.

In another major development, the State Transport department has also decided not to allow any more civic bodies to operate buses. Buses will be operated only by the transport corporations.

From March, there will be two helicopter services. Following the direction of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, steps have been taken to develop the airport at Chharra in Purulia district. Air connectivity from Cooch Behar and Malda will also be initiated soon.

Equal stress has been given to improve the water connectivity in the state. Twenty-seven vessels have already been introduced and 86 more will be engaged soon. Moreover, steps have been taken to replace the semi-mechanised vessels with robust ones, to ensure the safety of passengers.

Steps have been taken to ensure the standard operating procedure (SOP) is maintained at all the jetties. Life jackets similar to the ones used by the Coast Guard will also be introduced.

 

পরিষেবায় জোর পরিবহণ দপ্তরের বাজেটে

বিধানসভায় কয়েকদিন আগেই ২০১৮-১৯ সালের বাজেট পেশ করেন পরিবহণ মন্ত্রী। স্থল, জল ও আকাশপথে নতুন ও পুরনো পরিষেবায় জোর দেন মন্ত্রী।

এবছরে পরিবহণ বাজেট মোট ১৫৮৮.৮১ কোটি টাকা, যা দপ্তরের ইতিহাসে সর্বোচ্চ।

মন্ত্রী বলেন, ইতিমধ্যেই পরিবহণ দপ্তর ৩০০টি নতুন বাস নামিয়েছে, আরও নতুন বাস আনার উদ্যোগও নেওয়া হয়েছে। তিনি আরও বলেন, ৪০টি ইলেকট্রিক বাস শীঘ্রই কলকাতার রাস্তায় নামবে। রাজারহাট-নিউ টাউন অঞ্চলে ১০টি ও আসানসোল-দুর্গাপুরে ২০টি ইলেকট্রিক বাস শীঘ্রই চালু হবে।

এছাড়াও পরিবহণ দপ্তর সমস্ত সরকারি বাস নিগমকে একত্রিত করে এক ছাতার তলায় নিয়ে এসেছে।

মন্ত্রী জানান মার্চ মাসে চালু হবে দুটি হেলিকপ্টার পরিষেবা। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশে পুরুলিয়ায় বিমানবন্দর তৈরী হচ্ছে। কোচবিহার ও মালদা থেকে বিমান পরিষেবাও শুরু হবে শীঘ্রই।

বাজেটে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে জলপথ পরিবহণের ওপরেও। ২৭টি জলযান ইতিমধ্যেই চালু করা হয়েছে এবং আরও ৮৬টি খুব শীঘ্রই পরিষেবা শুরু করবে। যাত্রী সুরক্ষার কথা মাথায় রেখে সমস্ত পুরনো সেমি-মেকানাইজড জলযান বদল করে নামানো হয়েছে অত্যাধুনিক ভেসেল।

সমস্ত জেটির জন্য তৈরী করা হয়েছে স্ট্যান্ডার্ড অপারেটিং প্রোসিডিওর। উপকূলরক্ষীবাহিনী যে লাইফ জ্যাকেট ব্যবহার করে, আগামীদিনে সেরকম জ্যাকেট দেওয়া হবে ভেসেল যাত্রীদেরও, বলেন মন্ত্রী।

The state government will celebrate September 11, the day when Swami Vivekananda had addressed the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893, as Sampriti Divas. It will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Swamiji’s Chicago address in a befitting manner.

Sampriti Week will be observed from September 12 to 19. The decision was taken at the first meeting of the committee set up for the celebration, which was held on Thursday, said state Education minister Partha Chatterjee.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend the function which will be organised at Belur Math on September 11. The concluding programme will be held at Netaji Indoor Stadium on September 19.

The state government will provide another Rs 10 crore for the proposed Centre of Excellence, which is coming up near Eco Park in New Town. The state government had earlier provided Rs 10 crore as well.

Swamiji had spoken about harmony and peace at the World’s Parliament of Religions which was a part of Columbian Exposition, a programme organised to celebrate 400 years of Columbus’ discovery of America in 1893. He had spoken about “Universal Religion” and was confident that such a religion will be the religion of the future, when all people irrespective of class, creed, sex and religion will be respected.

স্কুলে পড়ানো হবে স্বামীজির শিকাগো বক্তৃতা। রামকৃষ্ণ মঠ ও মিশনের প্রস্তাব মেনে পাঠ্যসূচিতে বদল আনতে চলেছে রাজ্য সরকার। স্বামীজির শিকাগো বক্তৃতার ১২৫ বছর উদযাপন করা হবে। বেলুড়, নেতাজি ইনডোরের পাশাপাশি শিকাগোতেও অনুষ্ঠান হবে। উপস্থিত থাকতে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে আমন্ত্রণ করা হয়েছে।

১৮৮৩ সালে বিশ্ব ধর্ম সম্মেলনে এই ভাবেই বক্তৃতা শুরু করেছিলেন স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ। দু’মিনিট ধরে হাততালি চলে। একদিন রামকৃষ্ণ মিশনের স্কুলগুলিতেই পড়ানো হত স্বামীজির শিকাগো বক্তৃতা। এবার থেকে স্কুলের পাঠ্যসূচিতেও স্বামীজির শিকাগো বক্তৃতা পড়ানো হবে। শিকাগো বক্তৃতার ১২৫ বছর উদযাপনে কমিটি তৈরি করা হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার সেই কমিটির সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। ছিলেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী ও রামকৃষ্ণ মঠ ও মিশনের সাধারণ সম্পাদক স্বামী সুবীরানন্দ। সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে,

রামকৃষ্ণ মঠ ও মিশনের প্রস্তাব মেনেই এই সিদ্ধান্ত। স্বামীজির শিকাগো বক্তৃতার ১২৫ বছর উদযাপনে ১১ থেকে ১৯শে সেপ্টেম্বর দেশজুড়ে সম্প্রীতি সপ্তাহ পালিত হবে। বেলুড় ও নেতাজি ইনডোরে অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। শিকাগো বক্তৃতার ১২৫ বছর উদযাপন কমিটি শিকাগোতেও অনুষ্ঠান করবে। সেখানে উপস্থিত থাকার জন্য মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে আমন্ত্রণ করা হয়েছে।

Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) is going to open the Kolkata Gate at New Town before the Poila Boishakh (Bengali New Year’s Day in April). The date of the inauguration of the gate, the only one of its kind in eastern India, will be finalised shortly.

Hectic work is on to give finishing touches to the huge construction. Special attention has been given to look after the safety and security of the people who will be climbing the viewers’ gallery.

The construction for the structure began on March 6, 2017. The height of the Kolkata Gate is 55 m. Seventy tonnes of steel have been used. The visitors will be taken to the viewers’ gallery by a lift. The viewers’ gallery is around 25 meters above ground level and is covered by glass. A portion of it has been earmarked for a restaurant, where visitors can get tea, coffee and light refreshments.

The tunnel will have photographs on Kolkata’s heritage and culture. The outer part of the tunnel will be illuminated. The Gate, complete with the Biswa Bangla logo, has been constructed to greet those coming to the city from the airport.

The structure will add another feather in Kolkata’s cap. A splendid view awaits those who would visit the viewers’ gallery, giving a clear sight of New Town and its neighbourhood.

 

পয়লা বৈশাখের আগেই উদ্বোধন হবে কলকাতা গেট

পয়লা বৈশাখের আগেই নিউ টাউনে উদ্বোধন হবে কলকাতা গেট। এই গেট নির্মাণের দায়িত্বে আছে হাউসিং ইনফ্রাস্ট্রাকচার ডেভেলপমেন্ট কর্পোরেশন (হিডকো)। উদ্বোধনের দিনক্ষণ খুব শীঘ্রই ঠিক করা হবে। এখন শেষমুহুর্তের কাজ জোরকদমে চলছে।

৬ই মার্চ, ২০১৭, কলকাতা গেট নির্মাণের কাজ শুরু হয়। যেসকল দর্শক ওপরের গ্যালারিতে উঠবেন, তাদের নিরাপত্তার বিষয়টা মাথায় রেখেই কাজ হচ্ছে।

কলকাতা গেটের উচ্চতা ৫৫ মিটার। সত্তর টন ইস্পাত ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। লিফটে করে দর্শকরা ভিউয়ার্স গ্যালারিতে উঠতে পারবেন। এই গ্যালারির উচ্চতা মাটি থেকে ২৫ মিটার। এই পুরো গ্যালারিটি কাঁচ দিয়ে ঢাকা। এখানে একটি রেস্তোরাঁ হবে যেখানে আগত ভ্রমণার্থীরা চা, কফি ও জলখাবার কিনে খেতে পারবেন।

এই টানেলে কলকাতার ঐতিহ্য ও সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক নানা ছবি থাকবে। টানেলের বাইরের দিকটি আলো দিয়ে সাজানো হবে। এখানে বিশ্ব বাংলার লোগো থাকবে। বিমানবন্দর থেকে কলকাতাগামী যাত্রীদের স্বাগত জানাতেই এই গেটটি নির্মাণ করা হচ্ছে। এই গেট তৈরীতে খরচ পড়েছে আনুমানিক ২৫ কোটি টাকা।

এই গেট নির্মাণের পর কলকাতার মুকুটে আরও একটি পালক যোগ হবে।

Chairperson Mamata Banerjee today announced the names of four Rajya Sabha candidates from Bengal at the extended core committee meeting of the party.

The candidates are: Nadimul Haque, Subhashish Chakraborty, Abir Ranjan Biswas and Dr Santanu Sen.

The party will support Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi for the fifth seat, Mamata Banerjee said, adding that the decision was taken keeping larger interests in mind.

Trinamool Chairperson Mamata Banerjee today addressed the party workers at an extended core committee meeting of the party at Nazrul Mancha. At the meeting, she gave directions to the party to fight the BJP at the Centre, and also prepare for the upcoming Panchayat Polls.

Here’s what the Chairperson said:

  • Some parties claim they are the true representatives of Hinduism. Hindu religion is ancient, much before BJP was formed.
  • We believe in Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramhansa. Not the ideology of BJP.
  • Do not use loudspeakers during board exams. We must ensure peace for the sake of students.
  • Ram Navami rallies should be held in peaceful manner, without arms. Board exams will be going on at that time.
  • A core group of Subrata Bakshi, Partha Chatterjee, Abhishek Banerjee and Aroop Biswas must ensure old workers of Trinamool are not neglected.
  • Workers are our assets. Party is above all. There is no place for individualism.
  • Digital platforms are of significance today. We must motivate our younger generation to use social media seriously. BJP spends crores on digital propaganda. We must counter them effectively.
  • There was a time when tribals in Jangalmahal used to survive on insect eggs. Now 8 crore people receive rice at Rs 2/kg. This is a matter of pride.
  • 45 lakh Kanyashree scholarships, 57 lakh SC/ST scholarships, and 1.71 crore minority scholarships have been distributed.
  • 30 lakh ‘Banglar Bari’ have been constructed, 3 lakh land pattas have been distributed. 70 lakh cycles have been given to students.
  • We had promised to construct 50 lakh water bodies under Jal Dharo Jal Bharo scheme. We have constructed 15 lakh water bodies.
  • We have increased the honorarium for ICDS scheme. Retirement age of contractual and casual workers has been set at 60 years.
  • Car drivers, auto drivers, construction workers, kendu leaf collectors, bidi workers have been brought under social security scheme.
  • We have to pay instalments worth Rs 48,000 crore for the debt incurred by the Left. We have not imposed any burden on people. Instead, we have waived off khajna tax on agricultural land.
  • We have increased pension of farmers. We give monthly stipend to nearly 2 lakh folk artistes. We have started a new pension scheme for the handicapped.
  • We have started a new scheme called ‘Ruposhree’. Poor families with income upto Rs 1.5 lakh receive Rs 25,000 for the wedding of their daughters (18 years and older).
  • They are talking of ‘Achhe Din’. But in reality, people are in great pain. Their savings are not safe in banks.
  • They won in Tripura by merely 0.3% and they are behaving as if they won the world. Had some people not betrayed us, we would have won in Tripura. They used money and muscle power to win. I feel there was an understanding between CPI(M) and Congress.
  • CPI(M), Congress and BJP will unite during Panchayat polls to defeat us.
  • We will never ally with BJP. There was a semblance of liberal thinking during Atal Ji’s time. The discourse has reached its lowest ebb now. Look at the kind of language they use. They only appear on TV to grab eyeballs.
  • TDP, an alliance partner of BJP, has resigned from Union Govt. TRS has decided to go its own way. Shiv Sena has also left the BJP. Even their allies do not trust them anymore.
  • This fight is not trivial. UP will fight its own way. Bihar will fight its own way. Odisha will fight its own way. Rajasthan will fight its own way. Bengal will fights its own way.
  • They have spent crores on their party office. Don’t they have any shame?
  • Majority of the bank frauds happened during demonetisation. Agencies are being used to intimidate opponents. We are not afraid of the fear tactics.
  • Chit funds were formed during CPI(M) rule. But our people were harassed.
  • After a history of riots they captured power in Delhi. And now they are clearing their names. Today they are in office. Tomorrow they may not have power. We believe in politics of culture and courtesy. Our courtesy is not our weakness.
  • We will give our lives, but we will never bow our heads.
  • You have to be strong. You have to be cool. You have to be straight-forward.
  • Du hajar unish (2019), BJP finish. Aage Dilli samla, tarpor dekhbi Bangla (First manage Delhi, then focus on Bengal).
  • We came to power after 34 years of struggle. But our fight is not over. Centre does not cooperate with us. We have a huge debt burden. They treat different States differently.
  • Centre wants to send two officials to oversee our finances. How can they do so in federal structure? We are also democratically elected like them.
  • There is super-emergency in the country. People are not safe. Someone has to bell the cat. We want all Opposition parties to work together to defeat BJP.
  • The party has to focus on Panchayat elections. I will focus on Lok Sabha elections.
  • New frontal organisation will be formed ‘Adivasi Trinamool Congress’. James Kujur will be the President. Bachchu Hansda, Sandhya Tudu, Shrikanta Mahato and others will be members.

লক্ষ্য পঞ্চায়েত ভোট, কোর কমিটি বৈঠকে বললেন তৃণমূলনেত্রী

আজ দলের বর্ধিত কোর কমিটির বৈঠকে কর্মীদের পঞ্চায়েত ভোটের জন্য প্রস্তুতি নিতে বলেন জননেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। নজরুল মঞ্চে এই বৈঠকে তিনি দলের কর্মীদের বার্তা দেন বিজেপির অপশাসনের বিরুদ্ধে সরব হতে।

ওনার বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশ:

  • কেউ কেউ মনে করে তারাই হিন্দু ধর্মের দায়িত্ব নিয়ে বসে আছে। তাদের কে দায়িত্ব দিয়েছে কেউ জানে না। বিজেপি দল তৈরির অনেক আগেই হিন্দু ধর্মের জন্ম হয়েছিল।
  • আমরা স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ, রামকৃষ্ণ পরমহংসদেবকে মানি। অন্য কাউকে মানি না।
  • পরীক্ষা চলবে তাই রাম নবমীর মিছিল শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে করবেন। পরীক্ষার সময় ছাত্রছাত্রীদের যাতে কোনরকম অসুবিধা না হয় সেদিকে আমাদের নজর রাখতে হবে। মাইক, অস্ত্র ছাড়া শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে মিছিল করবেন।কারণ সেই সময় বোর্ডের পরীক্ষা চলবে।
  • সুব্রত বক্সি, পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়, অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ও অরূপ বিশ্বাসকে নিয়ে একটি কোর গ্রুপ গঠন করা হয়েছে। তারা লক্ষ্য রাখবেন যাতে আমাদের পুরনো কর্মীরা (যারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে তৃণমূল করছেন) কোনভাবেই বঞ্চিত না হয়।
  • কর্মীরাই আমাদের সম্পদ। কোন একজনের কথামতো নয়, দলের কথামতো দল চলবে। তৃণমূল মা মাটি মানুষের দল।
  • আজ সোশ্যাল নেটওয়ার্ক, ডিজিটাল প্ল্যাটফর্ম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। আমাদের যুব সমাজকে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় আরও সক্রিয় হতে হবে। বিজেপি এর পিছনে হাজার হাজার কোটি টাকা খরচ করে। আমাদের সেই টাকা নেই, তাই আমাদের পরিশ্রম করে সেই কাজটা করতে হবে যাতে একতরফা মিথ্যে কথা, কুৎসা, অপপ্রচার না হয়।
  • একটা সময় ছিল যখন এই বাংলায় জঙ্গলমহলের মানুষরা পিঁপড়ের ডিম খেয়ে বেঁচে থাকত। আজ এই রাজ্যের ৮ কোটি লোক ২ টাকা কেজি চাল পায়। এটা গর্বের বিষয়।
  • ৪৫ লক্ষ মেয়েকে কন্যাশ্রী স্কলারশিপ, ৫৭ লক্ষ SC/ST ছেলেমেয়েদের এবং ১.৭১ কোটি সংখ্যালঘু ছেলেমেয়েদের স্কলারশিপ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • ৩০ লক্ষ ‘বাংলার বাড়ি’ নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। ৩ লক্ষ লোককে জমির পাট্টা দেওয়া হয়েছে। ৭০ লক্ষ ‘সবুজ সাথী’ সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • ‘জল ধরো, জল ভরো’ প্রকল্পে আমরা ৫০ লক্ষ পুকুর কাটার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলাম। ইতিমধ্যেই ১৫ লক্ষ পুকুর কাটার কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছে।
  • আমরা আইসিডিএস কর্মীদের মাইনে বাড়িয়েছি। চুক্তিভিত্তিক কর্মীদের চাকরির বয়স ৬০ বছর পর্যন্ত করে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • কেন্দুপাতা সংগ্রহকারী, গাড়ির ড্রাইভার, অটোর ড্রাইভার, কন্সট্রাকশন কর্মী, বিড়ি কর্মীদের স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্পে আনা হয়েছে।
  • সিপিএম-এর করা দেনার ফলে আমাদের বছরে ৪৮০০০ কোটি টাকা শোধ করতে হচ্ছে। জনগণের ওপর কোনও বোঝা বাড়ানো হয়নি। বরং, কৃষিজমির খাজনাও মুকুব করে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • আমরা কৃষকদের বার্ধক্য ভাতা বাড়িয়েছি, ১ লক্ষ ৯২ হাজার লোকপ্রসার শিল্পীকে ১০০০ টাকা করে পেনশন দিই। কন্যাশ্রী স্কলারশিপের টাকা বাড়ানো হয়েছে। ২ লক্ষ প্রতিবন্ধীকে ১০০০ টাকা করে দেব বলে ঠিক করা হয়েছে।
  • রুপশ্রী পরিকল্পনা চালু হচ্ছে ১লা এপ্রিল থেকে, যে মেয়েদের ১৮ বছর বা তার বেশী বয়স, কিন্তু, বাবা মা’রা বিয়ে দিতে পারবে না, ১.৫ লক্ষ টাকার কম বছরে আয় যাদের, তারা আবেদন করলে সরকার ২৫০০০ টাকা করে তাদের মেয়ের বিয়েতে দেবে।
  • দিল্লীর স্লোগান আচ্ছে দিন, এমন আচ্ছে দিন জনগণকে বাদ দিন। বিজেপি আনল আচ্ছে দিন, জনগণের টাকা লুটে নিন।
  • ত্রিপুরায় জিতেছে ০.৩% ভোটে। এমন করছে যেন পৃথিবী জয় করে ফেলেছে। কিছু লোক গদ্দারি করেছে, নয়তো ত্রিপুরাটা আমরাই জিততাম। তৈরী জায়গায় টাকা ঢেলেছে আর সেন্ট্রাল এজেন্সিকে দিয়ে টাকা ডিস্ট্রিবিউশন করিয়ে জিতেছে, সিপিএম আত্মসমর্পণ করেছে। এটা মনে হয়ে সিপিএম বিজেপির বোঝাপড়া।
  • সিপিএম, কংগ্রেস, বিজেপি আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে এক হয়ে যায়, পঞ্চায়েতেও হবে।
  • একমাত্র তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস বলতে পারে, বিজেপির সঙ্গে আমাদের কোনও সম্পর্ক নেই। আমরা ওদের সাম্প্রদায়িক রাজনৈতিক দল মনে করি। অটল বিহারী বাজপেয়ীর সময় আমরা ওদের কিছুটা লিবারাল দেখেছিলাম। এখনকার বিজেপি দল সাম্প্রদায়িকতার নিম্নতম স্তরের দল। ভাষার কোনও সৌন্দর্য নেই, যা ইচ্ছে বলে যাচ্ছে। রোজ টিভিতে মুখ দেখাতে হয় আর ভাষণ দিতে হয়।
  • টিডিপি দল একসময় বিজেপিকে সাপোর্ট দিত, মিনিস্ট্রি থেকে রিজাইন করেছে। টিআরএস ও বলছে আমরা আলাদা হব। শিবসেনা বলছে আমরা দরকার হলে একা লড়ব। কোনও জোটসঙ্গী  ওদের সাথী নেই।
  • দেশের রাজনৈতিক মানচিত্র দ্রুত বদলাচ্ছে । ইউপি ইউপির মতো, বিহার বিহারের মতো, ওড়িশা ওড়িশার মতো লড়বে। বাংলা বাংলার মতো লড়বে।
  • পার্টি অফিস তৈরী করেছে ৬০০ কোটি টাকা দিয়ে। লজ্জা করে না?
  • আমি আজও বলছি, ব্যাঙ্কের যত কোরাপশান হয়েছে, তার বেশিরভাগটাই নোটবন্দির সময় হয়েছে। এজেন্সি দিয়ে ভয় দেখাচ্ছে। মনে রাখবেন, আমরা ভয় পাই নি।
  • চিট ফান্ড তৈরি হয়েছে সিপিএম-র আমলে অথচ আমাদের লোকেদের অনেক হেনস্থা হতে হয়েছে।
  • দাঙ্গা করে, হত্যা করে, মানুষ মেরে আজকে ওরা বসে আছে দিল্লীর গদিতে। নিজেদের কেস গুলো ক্লীয়ার করছে আর অন্যদের পেছনে এজেন্সি লাগিয়ে দিয়ে অ্যারেস্ট করছে। আগামীদিন কী হবে? আমি মনে করি রাজনীতিতে একটা সৌজন্যতা থাকা উচিত, একটা সীমাবধ্যতা থাকা উচিত, একটা লক্ষ্মণের গন্ডী থাকা উচিত। আমার হাতেও অনেক কেস আছে, তা সত্ত্বেও ভদ্রতা রক্ষা করি, কিন্তু ভদ্রতাটা দুর্বলতা নয়।
  • আমরা মরে যাব তাও মনে রাখবেন আমাদের মাথা কোনদিন বিক্রী হবে না।
  • আপনাদের শক্ত হতে হবে, মাথা ঠান্ডা রাখতে হবে এবং এগিয়ে যেতে হবে।
  • দু হাজার উনিশ, বিজেপি ফিনিশ। আগে দিল্লী সামলা, তারপর দেখবি বাংলা।
  • আমরা ক্ষমতায় এসেছি ৩৪ বছরের সংগ্রামের পর। আজও লড়াই চলছে আমাদের। দিল্লী পয়সা দেয় না। কেন্দ্র আমাদের সাহায্য করে না। আমাদের টাকা কেটে নিয়েছে বছরের পর বছর। একেক রাজ্যের জন্য একেক রকম নিয়ম।
  • কেন্দ্র হঠাৎ বলল আমার ফাইনান্সিয়াল লোকেরা এসে তোমার ফাইনান্স ডিপার্টমেন্ট দেখবে।যুক্তরাষ্ট্রীয় কাঠামোয় তা কি করে তা সম্ভব? তুমিও ইলেকটেড, আমরাও ইলেকটেড, যাও তুমি তোমার কাজ কর।
  • সম্পুর্ণভাবে একটা অরাজকতা চলছে দেশে। মানুষের নিড়াপত্তা নেই। কৃষক, শ্রমিকদের জীবনের নিরাপত্তা নেই। সেই জায়গায় দাঁড়িয়ে, কাউকে না কাউকে বিড়ালের গলায় ঘন্টা বাঁধতে হবে। আমরা চাই সবাই এক হয়ে কাজ করুক।
  • পঞ্চায়েতটা আপনারা করবেন আর দিল্লীটা আমি করব।
  • আমি ‘আদিবাসী তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস’ তৈরী করে দিচ্ছি। সভাপতি হবেন জেমস কুজুর; বাচ্চু হাঁসদা, সন্ধ্যা টুডু, শ্রীকান্ত মাহাতো এবং অন্যদের রাখা হবে।

Since coming to power in 2011, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been striving to bring about real change in the lives of women, among other things. For this, the Trinamool Congress Government has brought about numerous schemes and strengthened the policing system.

The foremost among the schemes is undoubtedly Kanyashree, a highly innovative approach to secure the life of the girl child, something for which the government has received numerous international accolades including the United Nations Public Service Award last June.

Kanyashree Scheme:

  • It was started on October 1, 2013 with the inspiration of the Chief Minister to put an end to child marriages in the state.
  • More than 40 lakh girls from about 15,500 institutions – schools, madrasahs, colleges, universities including open universities, vocational training schools, and even sports training centres – have benefitted till now.
  • More than 5,000 girls have been provided training in self-defence.
  • In North 24 Parganas district, a special educational and self-awareness programme called Kanyashree Dishari (meaning ‘Kanyashree path-finders’) has been started, involving Kanyashree Scheme beneficiaries.
  • Many Kanyashree beneficiaries are being given training for getting scholarships and for skill development.

কন্যাশ্রী – নারী ক্ষমতায়নে এক যুগান্তকারী প্রকল্প

২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অধীনে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সরকার রাজ্যের শাসনভার গ্রহণ করে। তারপর থেকে প্রতি ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা এগিয়ে চলেছে উল্লেখযোগ্য ভাবে।
নারী ও শিশুদের ওপর অবহেলা, অপরাধ দেশের অন্যান্য অঞ্চলে যেখানে বেড়েই চলেছে, সেখানে এ রাজ্যে সরকার নারী ও শিশুদের উন্নয়নে নিয়ে অসাধারন প্রকল্প সমুহ। এই প্রকল্পগুলির অসাধারন সাফল্যও মাত্র এই ছ’বছরেই দেখা গেছে।

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প:

  • মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর অনুপ্রেরণায় ২০১৩ সালের ১লা অক্টোবর এই প্রকল্প চালু হয়। এই প্রকল্পের উদ্দেশ্য বাল্যবিবাহ রোধ করা
  • রাজ্যের প্রতি অঞ্চলের প্রায় ১৫,৫০০ প্রতিষ্ঠান – প্রথা বহির্ভূত বিদ্যালয়, মাদ্রাসা, কলেজ, মুক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং বিশ্ব বিদ্যালয় বৃত্তিমূলক প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্র, শিল্প প্রশিক্ষণ, এমনকি ক্রীড়া প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্রের প্রায় ৪০লক্ষ কিশোরীকে এই প্রকল্পের অধীনে আনা হয়েছে।
  • ৫০০০-এরও বেশী মেয়েকে আত্মরক্ষার প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • ‘কন্যাশ্রী দিশারি’ নামে উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলায় কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পভুক্ত মেয়েদের একটি বিশেষ শিক্ষামূলক এবং সচেতনতামূলক প্রচার কর্মসূচী চালু করা হয়েছে।
  • বহু সংখ্যক কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পভুক্ত মেয়েকে বৃত্তিমূলক এবং অন্যান্য দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated a bouquet of developmental schemes and programmes during a public function at Kankardanga in Patrasayar block in Bankura district. She also laid the foundation stones of several projects.

The projects inaugurated were a fair-price medicine shop, a grain warehouse, roads, a mini indoor games complex, renovation of canals, etc. Foundation stones were laid for an eco park, a Labour Department office, etc.

She also distributed benefits of schemes like Kanyashree, Sikshashree, Sabujshree, Sabooj Sathi, Anandadhara and Gatidhara, folk instruments like dhamsa and madol, farming implements, mini kits for vegetable farming, etc.

Highlights of her speech:

I had visited Bankura district in December, 2017. Earlier, the ‘vote-babus’ used to visit districts only during elections. I keep visiting the districts to monitor the progress of developmental schemes.

We have set up a new university in Bankura.

We have increased pipelined water supply from 15% to 65%. We have started a drinking water project which will benefit 18 lakh people.

Three new multi super speciality hospitals have been set up in Bankura.

Over 1.7 lakh minority students have received scholarships. 57 lakh SC/ST students have also got scholarships.

45 lakh girls have received financial assistance under Kanyashree scheme. We have distributed 70 lakh cycles to students.

Kanyashree girls are our pride. The scheme has played a role in bringing down the rate of child marriage.
The stipend of Kanyashree scheme has been increased. We have extended the scheme to university students also.

SC/ST students will get soft loans for pursuing higher education (10 lakh for domestic studies and 20 lakh for foreign studies).

We have allowed Santhali students to take WBCS exam in Ol Chiki script.

We distribute saplings under Sabuj Shree scheme to parents of newborn babies. By selling the tree, they can secure the future of their child financially.

We provide rice at Rs 2/kg. Healthcare is free in government hospitals in Bengal.
We have started fair price medicine shops and diagnostic centres.

We have started Swasthya Sathi scheme and included ICDS, ASHA, contractual workers, civic volunteers, homeguards, panchayat and municipal workers etc under the insurance scheme.

Retirement age of contractual and casual workers has been fixed at 60 years.

ASHA workers used to receive Rs 800 from Centre earlier. Centre stoppe the funds for the project. We kept the project alive with State funds.

Centre allocated Rs 100 crore for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme for the entire country. We spent Rs 5000 crore for Kanyashree scheme only for Bengal.

It is not the job of the party in power to attack political opponents or vandalise statues of icons. We believe in all-encompassing politics. They must fight politically, not through violence.

I have fought CPI(M). We struggled for 34 years. Our slogan was ‘bodla noy, bodol chai’. We did not unleash any violence against the Communists. This is not our culture.

Marx or Lenin are not our icons. But they are revered in Russia. I have ideological fight with CPI(M). We fought against them in Singur, Nandigram, Netai. I do not support the BJP either.

Democracy does not mean use of violence. Democracy is all about winning people’s trust. Let there be a competition on development. Catch me if you can.

Smear campaign against me is on 365 days a year. This is not the democracy we believe in. I am not afraid of fear-mongering tactics.

We have started a new scheme called ‘Ruposhree’. We will provide financial aid to families with income less than Rs 1.5 lakh to assist them in their daughter’s wedding.

We have waived khajna tax on agricultural land. We have also done away with mutations fees on agricultural land. Why has the Centre not waived loans of farmers? Instead, they are allowing rich people to flee with crores of rupees from banks.

Farmers are not getting loans, students are not getting loans. Some people are running away with hard-earned money of people. Banks have become cashless, Centre has become faceless.

Your savings are not safe in banks. People are in dire straits. They are cheating people. Whenever people are in trouble, Trinamool is there to speak out for them.

Unity is harmony. We believe in the ideals of Rabindranath, Nazrul.

Centre has been neglecting Bengal. We are not getting due funds. Bengal does not care about power. Bengal wants welfare of people.

If your target is Bengal, our target is Lal Quila.

Some people, with ulterior motives, are trying to foment trouble between Hindus and Muslims. People must be vigilant. Inform the authorities, you will be rewarded.

We are launching a project worth Rs 2,000 crore which will benefit lakhs of people in lower-Damodar valley region. It will solve the water woes in the region.

We have started pension scheme for auto-drivers, car drivers, construction workers, domestic helps and others.

We are paying Rs 48,000 crore as instalments for the debt incurred by the Left. Still, the amount of work done by us, despite the financial constraints, is unmatched.

March 8 is International Women’s Day. We respect our women. Without them, the society is incomplete.
The students and youths of Bengal will show the way to the world one day.

 

গনতন্ত্র মানে জবরদখল নয়, ভোটদখল নয়: মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ বাঁকুড়া জেলার কাঁকড়ডাঙা, পাত্রসায়েরে পরিষেবা প্রদান অনুষ্ঠানের মঞ্চ থেকে একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তিনি বিভিন্ন প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাসও করেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যে সকল প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, ফেয়ার প্রাইস মেডিসিন শপ, ধানের গুদাম, নতুন রাস্তা, মিনি ইনডোর গেমস কমপ্লেক্স, খালের সংস্কার ইত্যাদি।

তিনি যে সকল প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করেন, তার কয়েকটি হল, ইকো পার্ক, শ্রম ভবন  ইত্যাদি।

এছাড়াও তিনি কন্যাশ্রী, সবুজশ্রী, শিক্ষাশ্রী, সবুজসাথী, আনন্দধারা, গতিধারা, ধামসা মাদল, কৃষি যন্ত্রপাতি, সবজি চাষের মিনিকিট ইত্যাদি পরিষেবা প্রদান করেন।

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ-

আমি গত ডিসেম্বর মাসে বাঁকুড়া এসেছিলাম। আগে জেলাগুলোতে ভোট করতে ভোট বাবুরা আসতেন, তারপরে আর আসতেন না। আমি ভোটের সময় কম আসি, সারা বছর কোনও না কোনও জেলায় যাই।

আমাদের মা মাটি মানুষের সরকার বাঁকুড়ায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তৈরী করে দিয়েছে।

আগে বাঁকুড়ায় ১৫% পাইপড জল ছিল, ছয় বছরে আমরা সেটা বাড়িয়ে ৬৫% করেছি। আরও ১২০০ কোটি টাকার প্রকল্প দেওয়া হয়েছে, এটা সম্পূর্ণ  হলে আরও ১৮ লক্ষ মানুষ পানীয় জল  পাবে।

বাঁকুড়া জেলায় তিনটি নতুন সুপার স্পেশ্যালিটি হসপিটাল তৈরী করে দেওয়া হয়েছে।

১.৭১ কোটি সংখ্যালঘু ছাত্রছাত্রীকে আমরা স্কলারশিপ দিয়েছি, ৫৭ লক্ষ তপসিলি ও আদিবাসী ছাত্রছাত্রীকে আমরা স্কলারশিপ দিয়েছি।

৪৫ লক্ষ কন্যাশ্রীর কাছে আমরা স্কলারশিপ পৌঁছে দিয়েছি। ৭০ লক্ষ ছাত্রছাত্রীকে সবুজ সাথীর সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে।
কন্যাশ্রীর মেয়েরা আমাদের গর্ব। বাল্য বিবাহ রোধেও তারা একটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করছে।

কন্যাশ্রীর স্কলারশিপের টাকা ৭৫০ টাকা থেকে বাড়িয়ে ১০০০ টাকা করা হয়েছে। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পড়াশোনা করলেও স্কলারশিপ পাবে।

এসসি এসটি ভাইবোনেরা হায়ার এডুকেশন দেশে করলে ১০ লক্ষ টাকা পর্যন্ত ও বিদেশে পড়লে ২০ লক্ষ টাকা পর্যন্ত সফট লোন পাবে।

সাঁওতালি ভাইবোনেরা ডব্লিউবিসিএস পরীক্ষা অলচিকি হরফেও লিখতে পারবে। তাদের জন্য ২৪টা কোচিং সেন্টার করা হয়েছে।

বাচ্চা জন্মালেই তাকে ছোট্ট একটা গাছের চারা দেওয়া হচ্ছে, সবুজশ্রী প্রকল্প। গাছটি বড় হলে, গাছটি বিক্রী করলে বাচ্চাটির ভবিষ্যৎ হয়ে যাবে।

আট কোটি মানুষকে ২টাকা কিলো চাল, গম দিই। বিনা পয়াসায় চিকিৎসা দিই সরকারি হাসপাতালে।ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান ও ডায়াগোনিস্টিক সেন্টার তৈরী করা হয়েছে।

স্বাস্থ্য সাথী প্রকল্পে আশা, আইসিডিএস মেয়েদের, সিভিক ভলেন্টিয়ারদের, হোমগার্ডদের, পঞ্চায়েত কর্মীদের, মিউনিসিপাল কর্মীদের, কন্ট্রাকচুয়াল কর্মীদের সবাইকে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে।

কন্ট্রাকচুয়াল ও ক্যাসুয়াল ওয়ার্কারদের চাকরির মেয়াদ ৬০ বছর করে দেওয়া হয়েছে।

আগে আশার মেয়েরা ৮০০ টাকা পেত দিল্লী থেকে। দিল্লী এই প্রোজেক্ট বন্ধ করে দিল। রাজ্য সরকার থেকে ওদের টাকা দেওয়া হয়।

কেন্দ্রের বেটি বাঁচাও বেটি পড়াও প্রোগ্রামে সারা দেশের মেয়েদের জন্য ১০০ কোটি টাকা। আমরা আমাদের কন্যাশ্রী প্রোজেক্টে ইতিমধ্যে ৫০০০ কোটি টাকা খরচ করেছি।

আপনারা (বিজেপি) যদি মনে করেন ক্ষমতায় এসেছেন বলে মণিষীদের মূর্তি ভাঙবেন, সেটা আমরা মেনে নেব না।

আমার সাথে সিপিআইএম-এর লড়াই হয়েছে। আমরাও ৩৪ বছর পরে ক্ষমতায় এসেছি। মনে রাখবেন আমাদের স্লোগান ছিল ‘বদলা নয়, বদল চাই’।তাই সিপিআইএম এত অত্যাচার করার পরও আমরা কিন্তু পিঁপড়ের ডিমের মত অত্যাচার ওদের ওপর করিনি। তার কারণ ওটা আমাদের সংস্কৃতি নয়।

আমি সিপিআইএম-এর পক্ষে নই, বিরুদ্ধে।আমরা ওদের অত্যাচারের বিরুদ্ধে সিঙ্গুর, নেতাই, নন্দীগ্রামে লড়াই করেছি।কার্ল মার্ক্স আমার নেতা নন, মহামতি লেনিনও আমার নেতা নন। কিন্তু রাশিয়ায় ওরা নেতা।মনে রাখবেন যে যেই পার্টির সমর্থকই হোক না কেন গনতন্ত্রে হিংসার কোন স্থান নেই।

গনতন্ত্র মানে জবরদখল নয়, ভোটদখল নয়। গণতন্ত্র মানে তুমি ক্ষমতায় আছো, উন্নয়নের কাজ করবে।আমরাও উন্নয়নের কাজ করছি। যদি লড়তে হয়, উন্নয়নের কাজে লড়। প্রতিযোগিতা করতে হলে উন্নয়নের প্রতিযোগিতায় নাম লেখাও।গড়তে পারলে গড়। আর না পারলে মানে মানে সরে পড়।

আমাদের বদনাম করার চেষ্টা করা হয় রোজ, বারবার, ৩৬৫ দিন। তাও বলি এইসব হুমকির কাছে আমরা ভয় পাই না।যতদিন বাঁচব, মাথে উঁচু করে বাঁচব।

আপনাদের জন্যে আর একটা প্রকল্প তৈরি করা হয়ছে, তার নাম হচ্ছে ‘রূপশ্রী’। দেড় লক্ষ টাকা ইনকাম যাদের বছরে, তাদের ১৮ বছরের বেশী বয়সি মেয়েদের জন্য, তাদের বিয়ের জন্য সরকারকে আবেদন করলে, সরকার আপনাদের মেয়ের বিয়ের জন্য ২৫ হাজার টাকা করে দিয়ে দেবে।

কৃষকদের জন্যে পুরো খাজনা মকুব করে দিয়েছি আমরা। কৃষিজমির মিউটেশন করতে হলে এক পয়সাও লাগবে না। কিন্তু কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার আজ পর্যন্ত কৃষি ঋনটা কি মকুব করেছে? অথচ কয়েকটা বড় বড় রুই কাতলা ব্যাঙ্কের সব টাকা লুঠ করে নিয়ে চলে যাচ্ছে আর কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার তাদের সাহায্য করছে।

গরীব মানুষদের ঋণ মকুব করে না, কৃষকদের ঋণ মকুব করে না, আর কয়েকটা রুই-কাতলা, আপনার টাকা মেরে দিয়ে চলে গেছে। আর আজকে ব্যাঙ্ক হয়ে গেছে ক্যাশলেস, আর বিজেপি সরকার হয়েছে ফেসলেস’।

এখন ওরা আপনার জমানো টাকা অন্য লোককে দিয়ে দেবে। মানুষ আজকে কঠিন সমস্যায় পড়েছে। এর বিরুদ্ধে যদি তৃণমূল না বলে তাহলে কে বলবে? মানুষ যদি বিপদে পরে, মনে রাখবেন, তৃনমূল কংগ্রেস ছিল, আছে, আর থাকবে।

একতাই সম্প্রীতি, এই কথা রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর, কাজী নজরুলরা শিখিয়ে গেছেন।

বাংলাকে বঞ্চনা করছে দিল্লী। কিছু দেয় না আমাদের। দিল্লী আমাদের সব কেড়ে নেয়। তা সত্ত্বেও বলি বাংলা বঞ্চনা সহ্য করে না, বাংলা প্রতারণা সহ্য করে না, বাংলা সারা দেশের মানুষের পাশে থেকে লড়াই করে, প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়।

তোমাদের টার্গেট যদি হয় বাংলা, আমাদের টার্গেট, লাল কেল্লা।

কিছু লোক দাঙ্গা লাগানোর চেষ্টা করছে। নজর রাখুন, পুলিশকে খবর দিন, পুলিশ আপনাকে পুরস্কৃত করবে।

আমরা প্রায় ২০০০ কোটি টাকার একটা প্রকল্প শুরু করছি, নিম্ন-দামোদর অববাহিকা নিয়ে। এতে কয়েক লক্ষ মানুষ উপকৃত হবেন।

অটো ড্রাইভার, ট্যাক্সি ড্রাইভার,ক্ষেত মজদুর ও কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীরা ৬০ বছর বয়সে পেনসন পাবে, তার ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে।

সিপিএমের করে যাওয়া দেনার জন্য আমাদের বছরে ৪৮,০০০ কোটি টাকা শোধ করতে হয়।

আগামি ৮ তারিখ আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস।আমি চাই আমার মা বোনেরা সম্মানের সাথে বাঁচুক, তাদের ছাড়া সমাজ অসম্পুর্ণ।

আমার বাংলার ছেলে-মেয়েরা একদিন সারা বিশ্বকে পথ দেখাবে।

Four new universities in Bengal

The state government has decided to set up four more universities in South Dinajpur, Alipurduar, Darjeeling and Murshidabad.

Partha Chatterjee, the state Education minister, spoke in the Assembly about the plan to set up the universities in the state. It may be mentioned that students of the area will be immensely benefitted from setting up of the university in Darjeeling and the three other places, as they would no longer need to travel long distances to continue with their higher studies.

The Mamata Banerjee government has already ensured a major expansion in the sector of higher education. After the change of guard in the state in 2011, eight new state-aided and nine private universities have come up in the state. At present, there are a total of 20 state-aided universities and nine private universities in Bengal. Moreover, in the 2017-18 fiscal, the planned budget for the state-aided universities was Rs 162.5 crore.

Besides setting up of four more universities in the state, the state government has also taken initiatives to increase the number of colleges, mainly in the backward areas. There were only 35 government colleges in the state in 2011 and now in the past few years till 2017, the total number of colleges has gone up to 65. Similarly, the number of government-aided degree colleges has also gone up to 450 and it includes 18 teachers training colleges.
With the increase in number of institutions for higher education, a total of around 4 lakh seats have increased at the graduation and post-graduation levels. Moreover, the gross enrolment ratio has gone up to 18.5 percent in 2017, compared to that of 12.6 percent in 2011.

Apart from the increase in number of educational institutions, 303 higher education institutions in the state have obtained NAAC accreditation and 292 of them are either government or government-aided colleges and 11 are state-aided universities. Moreover, 25 undergraduate courses and 3 post-graduate courses in eight private engineering and technology colleges have also been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.

The minister also stressed on the steps taken to ensure that outsiders are not allowed inside the campus of educational institutions.

 

রাজ্যে আরও ৪টি নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়

বাংলায় আরও চারটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় খোলার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর, আলিপুরদুয়ার, দার্জিলিং ও মুর্শিদাবাদ জেলায় গড়া হবে এই নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলি।
রাজ্যের শিক্ষা মন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায় বিধানসভায় একথা জানান। এই জেলাগুলিতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থাপিত হলে ওই জেলার মানুষরা প্রভূত উপকৃত হবেন। এখানকার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উচ্চশিক্ষার জন্য জেলার বাইরে আর যেতে হবে না।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বাধীন সরকার ইতিমধ্যেই উচ্চশিক্ষা ক্ষেত্রে ব্যাপক উন্নয়ন করেছে। ২০১১ সালে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস ক্ষমতায় আসার পর ৮টি নতুন সরকারি অনুদানপ্রাপ্ত ও ৯টি বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থাপিত হয়েছে রাজ্যে। এই মুহূর্তে রাজ্যে ২০টি সরকারি অনুদানপ্রাপ্ত ও নটি বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আছে। ২০১৭-১৮ অর্থবর্ষে সরকারি অনুদানপ্রাপ্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জন্য ১৬২.৫ কোটি টাকা পরিকল্পিত বাজেট ধার্য করা হয়েছে।

পাশাপাশি, আরও কলেজ নির্মাণেরও সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। ২০১১ সাল পর্যন্ত রাজ্যে ৩৫টি সরকারি কলেজ ছিল; ২০১৭ সালে এই সংখ্যাটি বেড়ে হয়েছে ৬৫। পাশাপাশি, সরকারি অনুদানপ্রাপ্ত ডিগ্রী কলেজের সংখ্যা হয়েছে ৪৫০; এর মধ্যে আছে ১৮টি টিচার ট্রেনিং কলেজ।

স্নাতক ও স্নাতকোত্তর স্তরে আসন সংখ্যা বেড়েছে ৪ লক্ষ, গ্রস এনরোলমেন্ট রেসিও বেড়ে হয়েছে ১৮.৫ (যা ২০১১ তে ছিল ১২.৬ শতাংশ)। ৩০৩টি উচ্চশিক্ষা কেন্দ্র ন্যাকের স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছে, যার মধ্যে ২৯২টি সরকারি ও সরকারি অনুদানপ্রাপ্ত ও ১১টি স্টেট-এডেড কলেজ। আটটি বেসরকারি ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কলেজের ২৫টি স্নাতক পাঠ্যক্রম ও তিনটি স্নাতকোত্তর পাঠ্যক্রম ন্যাকের স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছে।

এছাড়া, শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলির নিরাপত্তার জন্য সিসিটিভি বসানোর পাশাপাশি অন্যান্য ব্যবস্থাও করা হচ্ছে।
