The Trinamool Congress and several associations today took part in a huge protest rally at the foot of the Mahatma Gandhi statue on Mayo Road. Speakers highlighted the plight of the common man in the face of all essential prices going up because of the incessant rise in petrol and diesel prices. The rally culminated with a speech by All-India Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee, in which he exhorted those present to continue with the protest by boycotting all transport and walking home from the protest rally.

 

Highlights of Abhishek Banerjee’s speech:

At the very beginning, I want to announce a special decision. After the culmination of today’s meeting, we are going to walk home and boycott transport to protest the fuel price hike. Those who are willing may please join us in this protest.

The prices of petrol and diesel have been going up every day for the past 16 days. There is no abatement, there is no compensation. This is affecting the prices of almost everything, hurting the common man badly. Very soon, thanks to the Modi government at the Centre, the price of petrol will reach a century. Before that, we must try to bowl the team out, so that the woes and suffering of the people all over the country will cease.

One after the other, the Modi government has been pursuing anti-people policies. But let me tell you, the Trinamool Congress is not a party that will welt to this continuous onslaught. With every new threat, we stand steadfast and know how to counter each of them. They promised “achhe din”, they promised jobs, they promised so many things…but all this is just talk. Very unlike what the Trinamool Congress has been able to do under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee. We have delivered what we have promised.

They are trying to dictate what the people should wear, what to eat, where to go, where to not go, whom to speak with, whom to meet – is this the freedom that people should be subjected to? For every juncture of one’s life, one is required to produce Aadhaar card. Is this not curbing one’s freedom and right to privacy? These are policies that the our party is vehemently against. We stand for the welfare of the people. That is our primary concern.

Another protest against the fuel price hike will be held by the Trinamool Youth Congress on May 31 in a similar manner. We will not stop till there is relief for the common man. The Karnataka poll outcome has sounded their farewell bell. We will bid them the remaining goodbye with the vote in 2019.

Trinamool Youth Congress, under the leadership of TMYC National President and MP, Abhishek Banerjee, hit the streets today to protest against the FRDI (Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance) Bill. A rally was held from Jadavpur to Hazra at 2 PM.

Trinamool has been vocal against this controversial Bill from the very beginning. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written to the Union Finance Minister demanding that this Bill be withdrawn as it would take away the savings of common people entrusted to banks.

Trinamool MPs from both Houses held a dharna in Parliament premises on December 19, 2017, against the FRDI Bill. Leader of the party in Rajya Sabha, Derek O’Brien said that this Bill must be sent to cold storage.

 

Salient points of his speech:

BJP has been wiped out of Bengal. It is a matter of time before they are wiped out of India. Narendra Modi, who once dreamt of becoming PM by selling his Gujarat model, has suffered a drubbing in his home state. BJP has recorded its worst performance in 22 years. They even lost in Narendra Modi’s hometown. This only shows BJP will be voted out in 2019; their death knell has been rung.

On December 15, Mamata Banerjee instructed us to hit the streets against the draconian FRDI Bill. We have to reach out to the people and make them aware of its dangers. We have agitated in Parliament on this issue earlier this week. As long as Trinamool is in existence, we will not allow FRDI Bill to be passed. The Bill has already been referred to a Select Committee. We will fight till the end.

From demonetisation to Aadhaar to the hasty implementation of GST – the Centre has taken a slew of anti-people decisions. Trinamool has not maintained silence on these issues. We cannot be intimidated by threats of CBI or ED. Our protests will continue, and will become more intense in the future.

Those who cannot compete with us on the plank of development, only indulge in big talk. They are trying to create fissures in Bengal on religious lines. We will lay down our lives but never allow communal poison to spread in Bengal.

Mamata Banerjee has fulfilled the promises she made before coming to power. Narendra Modi has failed to keep his word. They raised questions about Mamata Banerjee’s governance. Her dream project Kanyashree won laurels from the United Nations.

If FRDI Bill is passed, the hard-earned deposits of people in banks are liable to be lost. There is no security. There is no difference between chit funds and BJP. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are trying to usurp the money of people, just like chit funds. If Sudipto Sen has been arrested, why not BJP leaders?

Who are they to decide what a person will wear, what they will eat or where they will live? In the name of love jihad, they are killing people. A member of Modi’s Cabinet is a Muslim but he married a Hindu. If that is acceptable, why was Malda’s Afrazul brutally murdered? Narendra Modi must answer.

They only give speeches; they do not want Bengal to prosper. They do not want people to get the benefits of Sabuj Sathi, Sabuj Shree, Baitarani, Samabyathi, Geetanjali, Gatidhara. They budget for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao for the entire country is Rs 100 crore. In Bengal, for Kanyashree, Mamata Banerjee has allocated Rs 1200 crore. We want people to move past the dark days of Left rule. The infamous 34 years should not come back.

During CPI(M) rule, many leaders had anti-socials among their followers, like ‘haat kata Dilip’. Now, BJP has ‘jibh kata Dilip’ who has no control over what he says. Let them attack us, as much as they want. We will continue to work for the people of Bengal.

I am a Hindu and I believe Swami Vivekananda is an icon of Hinduism. He had advocated freedom in every sphere if the society has to progress.

In other States, the entire administrative machinery is used to win elections. That is not the case in Bengal. Those who are rejected by our party are joining BJP, and they are celebrating their induction. BJP has become Bharatiya Janjaal Party. Garbage is their asset. People of Bengal are our assets.

The CPI(M) used all its might and force but could not set up Nano factory in Singur. BJP will also not be able to bulldoze the anti-people FRDI Bill.

 

 

এফআরডিআই বিলের বিরোধিতায় পথে তৃণমূল

জনবিরোধী ব্যাঙ্কিং বিল – FRDI (Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance) Bill – এর বিরোধিতায় আজ পথে নামলো তৃণমূল। তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সভাপতি ও সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে আজ একটি মিছিলের আয়োজন করেয়া হয়েছিল যাদবপুর থেকে  হাজরা পর্যন্ত।

শুরু থেকেই এই বিলের বিরোধিতা করছে তৃণমূল। এফআরডিআই বিলের বিরোধিতা করে কেন্দ্রীয় অর্থমন্ত্রীকে চিঠিও দিয়েছেন বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তিনি বলে যে এই বিল আইন হলে ব্যাঙ্কে গচ্ছিত সাধারণ মানুষের টাকা সুরক্ষিত থাকবে না। অবিলম্বে এই বিল প্রত্যাহারের দাবিও জানান তিনি।

গত ১৯শে ডিসেম্বর এফআরডিআই বিলের বিরোধিতায় সংসদ চত্বরে ধর্ণা দেন তৃণমূল সাংসদরা।

 

অভিষেকের বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ 

বিজেপি এমনিতেই বাংলা থেকে মুছে গেছে, ভারত থেকে মুছে যাওয়া শুধুমাত্র সময়ের অপেক্ষা। যে গুজরাতকে সামনে রেখে নরেন্দ্র মোদী ভারত দখল করার স্বপ্ন দেখেছিল, সেখানে বিগত ২২ বছরে সবচেয়ে খারাপ ফল করেছে ভারতীয় জনতা দল। নরেন্দ্র মোদীর জন্মস্থান বিব্জেপির নিজের হাতছাড়া হয়ে গেছে। এই ফলাফল এটাই প্রমাণ করে ২০১৯ এ বিজেপির বিদায় ঘণ্টা বেজে গেছে।

গত ১৫ তারিখে তৃণমূল ভবনে কোর কমিটির বৈঠকে আমাদের নেত্রী আদেশ নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন জনবিরোধি সিদ্ধান্তের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সকলকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে রাস্তায় নামতে হবে। ব্যাঙ্কিং বিলের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সর্বস্তরের মানুষকে আন্দোলনমুখী হতে হবে। গত সপ্তাহে আমাদের সাংসদরা লোকসভা ও রাজ্যসভার বাইরে ও ভিতরে আমরা আমাদের প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছি। আমি কথা দিচ্ছি তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস এফ আর ডি আই বিল পাস হতে দেবে না। ইতিমধ্যেই এটি সিলেক্ট কমিটিতে গেছে এবং আমরা এর শেষ দেখে ছাড়বো।

নোট বাতিল, আধার, জি এস টি থেকে শুরু করে একের পর এক জনবিরোধী সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সরকার। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস চুপ করে থাকেনি। সিবিআই, ইডি দেখিয়ে আমাদের দমিয়ে করিয়ে রাখা যাবে না। মানুষের পেতে যদি আঘাত পরে আমরা আন্দোলন করব, প্রতিবাদ করব। দরকার হলে জেলায় জেলায়, ব্লকে ব্লকে এই আন্দোলন চলবে। আগামী দিনে এই প্রতিবাদ বৃহত্তর আন্দোলনে পরিণত হবে।

যারা উন্নয়ন নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করতে পারে না, তারা শুধু বড় বড় কথা বলে, আর বাংলায় হিন্দু মুসলমানের বিভাজন তৈরি করে দ্বিখণ্ডিত করার চেষ্টা করে। আমাদের জীবন গেলে যাবে কিন্তু আমরা বাংলাকে অশান্ত হতে দেব না।

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সরকারে আসার পর যা কথা দিয়েছে সব কথা রেখেছে। নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সরকার একটা কথাও রাখেনি। যারা মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের একাধিক উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্প নিয়ে অনেকে প্রশ্ন করেছিল। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের কন্যাশ্রী আজ বিশ্বের দরবারে প্রশংসিত।

এফ আর ডি আই বিল চালু হলে মানুষকে না জানিয়ে তার টাকা ব্যাঙ্ক জবরদখল করে নিতে পারে। সুদীপ্ত সেন আর বিজেপির নেতাদের মধ্যে কোন পার্থক্য নেই। চিট ফান্ডের প্রতারকদের মতো ব্যাঙ্কে টাকা রাখলে আজ অমিত শাহ, নরেন্দ্র মোদীরা নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। সুদীপ্ত সেন যদি গ্রেফতার হয় তাহলে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও মন্ত্রীসভার সদস্যদের বিরদ্ধে কেন কোন পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হবে না?

কে কি খাবে? কে কি পরবে? কে কোথায় থাকবে? লাভ জিহাদের নাম করে মানুষকে হত্যা করে দেওয়া হচ্ছে, খুন করে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। বিজেপির মন্ত্রীসভার এক মুসলমান সদস্য যাকে বিয়ে করেছেন, তিনি একজন হিন্দু। তিনি যদি একজন হিন্দুকে বিয়ে করতে পারেন, মালদার আফরাজুলকে তাহলে কেন নৃশংস ভাবে কুপিয়া হত্যা করা হল? এর জবাব নরেন্দ্র মোদীর সরকারকে দিতে হবে।

যারা বড় বড় কথা বলে, তারা কোনোদিন বাংলার উন্নতি চায় না। তারা চায় না সবুজসাথী, সবুজশ্রী, বৈতরণী, সমব্যাথী, গীতাঞ্জলী, গতিধারার মাধ্যমে বাংলা অগ্রগতির পথে এগিয়ে যাক। বেটি বাঁচাও বেটি পড়াও-এর বাজেট সারা দেশে ১০০ কোটি, আমাদের কন্যাশ্রীর বাজেট শুধু পশ্চিমবঙ্গে ১২০০ কোটি। আমরা চাই বাংলার মানুষ এগিয়ে যাক, আমরা চাই ৩৪ বছরের কলঙ্কিত দিনগুলো যেন বাংলার মানচিত্রে আর ফিরে না আসে।

আগে সিপিআইএম আমলে নেতাদের ছত্রছায়ায় থাকত দুষ্কৃতি, হাত কাটা দিলীপ, আজ দেখছি বিজেপির জিভ কাটা দিলীপ। আগের দিলীপের হাতের ওপর নিয়ন্ত্রণ ছিল না, আজকের দিলীপের জিভের ওপর নেই। তারা আক্রমণ করলে করুক, আমরা এগিয়ে যাব। ওরা যত আক্রমণ করেছে, তৃণমূল তত উন্নয়ন করেছে।

আমি হিন্দু, আমি মনে করি এই ধর্মের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ প্রচারকের নাম স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ। তিনি আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন, সমাজকে শক্তিশালী করতে হলে সর্বক্ষেত্রে আমাদের স্বাধীনতার প্রয়োজন।

অন্য রাজ্যে সব কিছু জবরদখল করে, সব মেশিনারি কাজে লাগিয়ে ভোট করতে পারে, কিন্তু, বাংলায় তারা করতে পারবে না। আমরা যাদের উচ্ছিস্ট করে এদিক ওদিকে ফেলে দিচ্ছি, বিজেপি সেগুলোকে নিয়েই নাচানাচি করছে। বিজেপি এখন ভারতের জঞ্জাল পার্টিতে পরিণত হয়েছে। এই জঞ্জল নিয়ে এরা দল করুক, আমরা বাংলার মানুষকে নিয়ে দল করি।

আমাদের নেত্রী ২৬ দিন অনশন করে আমাদের গণআন্দোলনের পথ দেখিয়েছে। কোনভাবেই যাতে এই জনবিরোধী বিল পাস না হয়, সেই আন্দোলন আমাদের করতে হবে। সিঙ্গুরে যেমন সিপিআইএম গায়ের জোরে ন্যানো কারখানা করতে পারে নি, বিজেপিও গায়ের জোরে FRDI Bill পাস করতে পারবে না।

Trinamool Youth Congress, led by TMYC President and MP Abhishek Banerjee, organised a candle light vigil today evening, to protest against the heinous murder of a Bengali labourer in Rajasthan. The candle march was held from Hazra More to Gandhi statue at Mayo Road.

The TMYC President lashed out at the BJP and said, “We strongly condemn the dastardly and heinous crime in Rajasthan. It is shocking and sent chills down my spine. It is not just a murder of an individual, it is the MURDER of whole HUMANITY . No amount of outrage is enough, as a Human, Indian and a Hindu I hang my head in shame!”

The Bengal Chief Minister has announced an aid of Rs 3 Lakh and will give a job to an eligible member of the family of the deceased labourer. The State Government has also promised to bear the cost of the education of the three children of the deceased.

 

রাজস্থানে বাঙালি শ্রমিক হত্যা, প্রতিবাদে পথে তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস

আজ কলকাতার রাজপথে একটি মোমবাতি মিছিল করলেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি তথা সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। রাজস্থানে এক বাঙালি শ্রমিকের নৃশংস হত্যার প্রতিবাদে এই মিছিল শুরু হয় হাজরা মোড়ে এবং শেষ হয় মেয়ো রোডে গান্ধীমূর্তির পাদদেশে।

তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি এই ঘটনায় দুষেছেন বিজেপিকে। তিনি বলেন, এই ঘটনা অত্যন্ত দুর্ভাগ্যজনক, নৃশংস, অমানবিক এবং দানবিক। তিনি বলেন মানুষ হিসেবে তিনি লজ্জিত বোধ করছেন।

ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্য সরকার নিহতের পরিবারকে সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছে। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নিহতের পরিবারকে তিন লক্ষ টাকা ও পরিবারের এক সদস্যকে চাকরি দেওয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন। ওঁর তিন মেয়ের পড়াশোনার খরচও বহন করবে রাজ্য সরকার।

Abhishek Banerjee addressed a public meeting in Sabang in Paschim Medinipur district on Wednesday. He also walked for 2 km in a rally. Yesterday’s rally was a curtain-raiser for the annual July 21 Shaheed Divas.

He said, “I have never seen so many people attending my meetings, the way you have gathered here today”.

He appealed to the people to felicitate the old-timers. “I get greetings everywhere. Now it is time for you to felicitate the old-timers in Trinamool, who have been with the party right from the start”.

About July 21, Sahid Divas, he said, “July 21 (‘ekush’) is not just a date, there is a lot of our emotion involved with the date. ‘Ekush’ signifies a flood of change, a storm of destruction, followed by renewal”.

About threats to Trinamool Congress, he said, “The more people try to scare Trinamool, the stronger would it become”.

He appealed to veteran leaders of Congress and other parties to join Trinamool. “Congress is bereft of principles and good ideals”.

He said those who at one time walked around with red flags are now in saffron garbs.

“Trinamool can’t be scared to submission by the CBI and the ED”, he concluded, referring to the Centre’s move to come down on party leaders with false cases.

গতকাল পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের সবং এ ২১ শে জুলাইয়ের প্রস্তুতি সভায় বক্তব্য রাখেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এদিনের জনসভায় প্রচুর জনসমাগম হয়।

এদিন কর্মীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি বলেন, “যারা প্রথম দিন থেকে তৃণমূল করছেন, তাদের প্রত্যেককে সংবর্ধিত করুন, আমরা অনেক সংবর্ধনা পাই, আর নয় এবার কর্মীদের সংবর্ধিত করুন”।

২১ শে জুলাই প্রসঙ্গে তাঁর বক্তব্য “২১ শুধুমাত্র একটি তারিখ নয় ২১ আমাদের আবেগ, অহংকার। ২১ মানে বৃষ্টি, বাদল, প্লাবন”।

বিরোধীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি বলেন, “লাল পতকা নিয়ে যারা ঘুরত তারাই আজ গেরুয়া পাঞ্জাবি পরে ঘুরছে। বাংলার প্রতিটি দেওয়াল লিখন করুন ‘ছদ্মবেশী ও পদ্মবেশী হতে সাবধান’ আর কংগ্রেস দলের তো কোনও নীতি নেই। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসেকে যত তাতাবেন, যত চমকামবেন, তৃণমূল ততই শক্তিশালী হবে। CBI আর ED দিয়ে তৃণমূলকে রোখা যাবে না”।

Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee today took part in a padayatra in Pujali, South 24 Parganas, while campaigning for the municipal polls of the Pujali Municipality. The four km padayatra which started from Pujali Oriental More and continued till Chhoto Battala on the Sunday morning saw thousands of people walking along with the fiery youth icon.

Abhishek Banerjee said that Trinamool will win in all the 16 wards of the Pujali Municipality. He said that the opposition will be washed out. Trinamool has no fear, the more Trinamool will be threatened, it will be more strong, he said.

Abhishek Banerjee said that Pujali did not see and development during the Left rule. 80% of the water supply project has been completed in the area, he said. He stressed on the development of the area and said that the Hindutwa factor will not work here. He asked all party workers to work united against the combined opposition force.

বিরোধীরা দাঁত ফোটাতে পারবেন না পূজালি পুরসভায়। এবারও তৃণমূলই জিতবে। ২০ মে পূজালিতে তৃণমূলের বিজয় মিছিল বেরোবে। রবিবার পূজালির ওরিয়েন্টাল মোড় থেকে প্রায় ৪ কিমি পায়ে হেঁটে ছোট বটতলা পর্যন্ত মহামিছিল করেন সাংসদ অভিষেক ব্যানার্জি। তার পর ছোট বটতলাতেই তিনি সভা করেন। সেই সভাতেই তিনি এই ঘোষণা করেন।

এদিন সভায় তিনি বিরোধীদের বিরুদ্ধে রীতিমতো তোপ দাগেন। বলেন, ‘‌পূজালির ১৬টি আসনেই জিতবে তৃণমূল। বিরোধীদের কোনও অস্তিত্বই থাকবে না। তারা দাঁত ফোটাতে পারবে না।’‌ তৃণমূল সাংসদ সাফ জানিয়ে দিলেন, এবারও বিরোধীশূন্য করেই পূজালিতে ঘাসফুল ফুটবে। তিনি সিবিআই দিয়ে তৃণমূলকে ভয় দেখানোর জবাবে বলেন, ‘‌যতই ভয় দেখান না কেন, তৃণমূল ভয় পায় না। এখানে ভয় দেখিয়ে তৃণমূলকে হারানো যাবে না। তূণমূলকে ধমকালে–‌চমকালে তৃণমূলের শক্তি আরও বাড়বে।’‌

তাঁর অভিযোগ, ‘‌বাম আমলে পূজালির কোনও উন্নয়নই হয়নি। তৃণমূল এসে এখানে জলপ্রকল্পের কাজ ৮০ শতাংশ শেষ করেছে। পূজালির মানুষ উন্নয়ন চান। আর এখানে সেই উন্নয়নই হয়েছে। প্রচুর টাকার উন্নয়নের কাজ হয়েছে এই পুরসভায়। তাই কোনও হিন্দুত্ব তত্ত্ব এখানে চলবে না। মানুষ তৃণমূলকেই ভোট দিয়ে জেতাবেন।’ তিনি এদিনও ঐক্যবদ্ধ লড়াইয়ের ওপর জোর দেন। বলেন, ‘ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে লড়াই করে এই পুরসভার প্রতিটি আসনেই জিততে হবে।’ এদিন তিনি অভিযোগ করে বলেন, ‘এখানে বিরোধীদের গোপন আঁতাত তৈরি হয়েছে। সামনে যা–ই দেখাক না কেন, ভেতরে ভেতরে সিপিএম, কংগ্রেস ও বিজেপি আঁতাত করে লড়াইয়ে নেমেছে।’

এদিন তাঁর সঙ্গে ছিলেন বজবজের বিধায়ক অশোক দেব, শওকত মোল্লা, গৌতম দাশগুপ্ত প্রমুখ।

Trinamool Yuva Congress all-India Chairperson Abhishek Banerjee has called for ousting the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Hills. He was speaking at a rally at the Sports Authority ground in Mirik near Darjeeling on Wednesday, January 20.

He began by congratulating the people for coming in droves to hear him speak, and said that he would go back and assure Trinamool Congress Chairperson Ms Mamata Banerjee that it is only a matter of time before the party come to power there.

He said that for a long time GJM chief Bimal Gurung has been fooling the people of the Hills, and so is the BJP. Now the time has come for removing them from power. As an example of how the Trinamool Congress works for the people, he cited the case of Bhaichung Bhutia, who, despite losing in the Lok Sabha elections, has worked tirelessly for the people there.

Unlike the BJP, he said the Trinamool works for the development of the State – the way things have changed for the better in the last five years is proof of that. The Trinamool Congress Government has given Rs 15 crore for renovating the lake in Mirik, and make it a better attraction for tourists.

He ended by once again exhorting the people to make sure that they vote Trinamool Congress to power.

 

অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পাহাড়ের মানুষকে ডাক দিলেন তৃণমূলকে ক্ষমতায় আনার  জন্য 

তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সর্বভারতীয় সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যপাধ্যায় পাহাড় থেকে মোর্চা এবং বিজেপিকে উৎখেপনের ডাক দিলেন। তিনি মিরিকের স্পোর্টস অথরিটির মাঠ থেকে বক্তৃতা দিচ্ছিলেন গত বুধবার।

উনি মানুষদের ধন্যবাদ দিলেন বহু বাধা অতিক্রম করে তার সভায় আসার জন্য। এখন তিনি ফিরে গিয়ে তৃণমূল সভানেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে আশ্বাস দিতে পারবেন যে তৃণমূলের পাহাড়ে ক্ষমতায় আসার শুধু সময়ের অপেক্ষা।

তিনি বললেন যে বহুদিন ধরে মোর্চা এবং বি জে পি পাহাড়ের মানুষের চোখে ধুলো দিয়ে এসেছে। এখন সময় এসেছে তাদের পাহাড় থেকে উৎখেপন করার। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস চিরকাল মানুষের পাশে থেকেছে। উদাহারণ হিসেবে বললেন যে ভাইচুং ভুটিয়া লোকসভা নির্বাচন হারা সত্ত্বেও পাহাড়ের মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে এসেছেন।

তৃণমূল চিরকালই মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে এসেছে – গত ৫ বছরের কাজ কাজ দেখেই তা নির্ধারন করা যায়। মিরিক লেকের সংস্ক্রণের জন্য ১৫ কোটি টাকা দিয়েছে।

শেষে অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আবার পাহাড়ের মানুষকে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকে ক্ষমতায় ফেরানোর জন্য বললেন।

Congress is CPI(M)’s ‘B’ team in the state and in Delhi it is vice versa, Trinamool Youth Congress President and MP Abhishek Banerjee said. He was addressing a meeting of party activists at Garbeta in Paschim Medinipur.

The TMYC President has been holding meeting in the districts at a stretch and Tuesday’s meeting saw a huge gathering making it a mass rally.

Abhishek laid stress on the developmental wave undertaken by the State Government under Ms Mamata Banerjee and asked people to see for themselves the change that has taken place within a space of four years.

The TMYC President pointed out that Garbeta had been suffered under the dictator-like rule by the CPM.  Mamata Banerjee had realised that to bring back democracy in Bengal, it was necessary to oust the CPM and as a result, Trinamool Congress was born in 1998, he said. He pointed out that the oppressed people of Paschim Medinipur had answered the call of Mamata Banerjee and driven out the Left from the Paschim Medinipur district in a democratic way.

The young Trinamool MP pointed out that what the Trinamool-led Government in Bengal could do in four years, the Left government did not achieve 10% of that in 34 years.

মঙ্গলবার পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের গড়বেতায় একটি জনসভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সভামঞ্চে তিনি বলেন, ‘এ রাজ্যে কংগ্রেস সিপিএমের ‘বি-টিম’ এবং দিল্লিতে সিপিএম কংগ্রেসের’।

গত মঙ্গলবার যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতির এই জনসভায় বিপুল জনসমাগম হয়েছিল।

গত ৪ বছরে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অধীনে রাজ্য সরকার দ্বারা গৃহীত উন্নয়নমূলক কাজগুলির কথাও উল্লেখ করেন। তিনি বলেন, ‘সিপিএমের স্বৈরাচারী শাসনের স্বীকার হয়েছিল গড়বেতা’।

এদিন অভিষেক বলেন, ‘মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বুঝেছিলেন যে বাংলায় গণতন্ত্র প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে গেলে বাংলাকে সিপিএমের অপসাশনকে মুক্ত করতে হবে। তাই তিনি ১৯৯৮ সালে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস তৈরি করেছিলেন। পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের নিপীড়িত মানুষ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের ডাকে সারা দিয়ে গণতান্ত্রিক পদ্ধতিতে পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরকে সিপিএম মুক্ত করেছেন’।

তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘তৃণমূল সরকার গত ৪ বছরে যা কাজ করেছে গত ৩৪ বছরে সিপিএম তার ১০ শতাংশও করতে পারেনি’।

Trinamool Youth Congress President and MP Abhishek Banerjee held a mass rally of party activists at Kashipur in Purulia. The rally was organised by the Kashipur Block Trinamool Congress at Sevabrati Ground in Kashipur, Purulia district.

The young mass leader pointed out the different developmental projects taken up by the Trinamool-led West Bengal Government and said that the CPI(M) and Congress are jointly trying to create confusion among the people of the State. To stand beside CPM will be to support the Sainbari killers or the murderers of Tapasi Malik of Singur, he said.

The TMYC President said that during the last four years, the West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee had been travelling around the State and has come to the land of the red soil in the districts of Purulia, Bankura and Birbhum for more than 50 times. She has been able to fulfil the promises made, has held meetings time and again and has continuously reviewed the work processes.

The young firebrand leader slammed the CPI(M) for their continuous false propaganda featuring slurs and false allegations against Mamata Banerjee. He said that to be like Mamata Banerjee, one needs to forget fear and fight for the people. For 34 years, there had been loots and murders by the CPI(M); and now, for the last four years, there has been unforeseen development under Mamata Banerjee, he said.

পুরুলিয়ার কাশীপুরের তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের একটি সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি এবং সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। পুরুলিয়ার কাশীপুরের সেবাব্রতী ময়দানে কাশীপুর ব্লক তৃণমূলের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত হয়েছিল এই বিশাল সমাবেশ।

অভিষেক ব্যানার্জি আগাগোড়া এ রাজ্যে মমতা ব্যানার্জির সাফল্যের এবং উন্নয়নের বিভিন্ন দিক তুলে ধরেন এবং বলেন কংগ্রেস সি পি এম একজোটে বাংলার মানুষকে বিভ্রান্ত করতে চাইছে।   তিনি বলেন, সি পি এমের সঙ্গে জোট মানে সাঁইবাড়ির সঙ্গে হাত মেলানো এবং তাপসী মালিকদের হত্যাকারীদের সঙ্গে হাত মেলানো, ফের বাংলাকে পিছিয়ে দেওয়া।

যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি বলেন গত ৪ বছরে এ–প্রান্ত থেকে ও–প্রান্ত বাংলার সর্বত্র মমতা ব্যানার্জি ঘুরে বেড়িয়েছেন মানুষের জন্য। এই লালমাটির পুরুলিয়া, বাঁকুড়া এবং বিরভুমেই এসেছেন ৫০ বারেরও বেশী। ডি এম এম ডি এ–সহ কর্তাদের সঙ্গে মিটিং করে যা প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন তা তিনি সাড়ে ৪ বছরে সম্পূর্ণ করেছেন।

মমতা ব্যানার্জির বিরুদ্ধে ক্রমাগত কু९স্যা প্রচারের জন্যও বিরোধীদের ভর্ত্সনা করেছেন এই তরুন নেতা।

তিনি বলেন, “মমতা ব্যানার্জি হতে গেলে ভয়কে উপেক্ষা করে, নিজের জীবন বিপন্ন করে মানুষের জন্য লড়তে হয়।গত ৩৪ বছরে সি পি এম বাংলায় খুন ও লুঠপাঠ করেছে এবং গত ৪ বছরে মমতা ব্যানার্জির নেতৃত্বে বাংলায় উনয়নের জোয়ার অব্যাহত।

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today distributed cheques for the Gatidhara Scheme to 1000 unemployed youths who had applied for self-employment by buying commercial vehicles with help of the State Government.

The objective of the Gatidhara scheme is to generate self-employment in transport sector by providing financial assistance. A person applying for the assistance under the scheme will get maximum Rs 1 lakh to buy a vehicle.

The State Transport Department has set up 1,300 centres across the state to help unemployed youth avail the Gatidhara scheme.

In a bid to help more youths avail the scheme it was important to set up as many possible centres from where they would get necessary information and at the same time submit their application forms.

How to apply

To apply for the scheme, unemployed youth aged between 20 to 45 years has to get enrolled with the employment exchange. People working in the 1,300 centres will not only help the applicants to apply for the Gatidhara Scheme, but also help to get them enrolled with the employment exchange.

The applicants will also get assistance of Gatidhara felicitators to get their road permit from the state transport authority (STA) or regional transport authority (RTA) under the scheme and registration number of their vehicles without facing any trouble.

What next?

After applicants get necessary clearances from STA or RTA and sanction letter for the financial assistance from West Bengal Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (WBTIDCL), it is the task of the felicitators to pursue for faster disbursement of loan from any bank, financial institution or non-banking financial companies in favour of the applicants. The financier will help by providing the remaining amount to buy the vehicle.

The felicitators will also ensure that all the beneficiaries write “With financial support of Government of West Bengal under Gatidhara scheme” in blue colour on the rear of the vehicles.

Trinamool Youth Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee held a meeting with youth contingent of the party at ITI ground, Kalyani on Thursday and laid the guidelines for the party activists for the coming Assembly polls.

The TMYC National President said that Trinamool Congress will sweep the coming Assembly polls. He said that the media keeps mum on the development and progress in Bengal and it is the duty of the youth force of the party to spread the news among people.

On the activities of the Opposition parties the young firebrand MP said that the State BJP, who has to hire people to show strength are dreaming about ruling Bengal. He said that there is nothing much to speak about the State Congress and the CPIM was finished in 2011.

Mr Banerjee said that the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been working day and night for the development of the people. She has held more than 110 administrative review meetings in the districts of Bengal. Trinamool Congress’ strength is the love and support of the people, not the blessings of any media house or any industrialist, he said.

Trinamool Secretary General Partha Chatterjee, Lok Sabha MPs Tapas Mondal and Mamatabala Thakur and senior district Trinamool leaders were present at the meeting.
