Saugata Roy asks a Supplementary Question on EPF-based pension

FULL TRANSCRIPT

Thank you very much, Sir. You are very kind. I want to ask a straight question to the Minister. He has suggested a very complicated way of taking decisions – CBT ka meeting hoga, phir consultation hoga, phir budgetary help aayega. Yeh sab ke baad abhi worker ko keval Rs 1,000 minimum pension milta hain. Yeh pehle Rs 300 tha, sarkar ne bada ke Rs 1,000 kiya, lekin yeh bhi bahut kam hain, Mantri avagat honge. Main seedha ek declaration chahta hoon Mantri se: Yeh pension Rs 1,000 se bada ke kitna karenge aur kab karenge, iss ke bade mein aap kripiya yeh House ko avagat karainge?

Sudip Bandyopadhyay asks a Supplementary Question on GST

FULL TRANSCRIPT

Sir, the concept of GST had been read by the Honourable President in his address as “one country one tax one market,” and that is why GST was announced so hurriedly. For this reason, GST has really thrown up huge difficulties. My question to the minister is that, whether the government is now going to simplify GST further and if so, what steps are they going to take, and what would be the time limit to save the small industries of the country?

Mumtaz Sanghamita asks a Supplementary Question on National Health Accounts

FULL TRANSCRIPT

Thank you, Madam for allowing me to speak.

Is the government aware that many times non-utilisation of central funds is partly due to delayed release of the allotted fund to the States? Many times it comes in December and then it becomes very difficult to finish the job by next March.

So, what is the reason behind it and what measures can be taken on your part so that funds are released quickly? They have reduced the share of the Central funds to make the ratio of the Central and State funds to 60:40.

Kindly release the funds for the States a bit faster so that work can be done quickly.

Partha Pratim Ray asks a Supplementary Question on telecom services in LWE affected areas

FULL TRANSCRIPT

The BSNL network is poor not only in LWE areas, but in almost every State of the country, specially in rural and border areas, including my constituency Cooch Behar. In this online age, day to day work both in public and private sector (specially in banking sector, education sector and various online services like salary submission, scholarship and other activities) are hampered due to poor network of BSNL. And there is a common tendency to use other networks instead of BSNL.

My question, through you, to the Minister is what is the government’s initiative to provide smooth and secured BSNL network throughout the country, specially in rural and border areas.

The Ministry of Human Resources Development is going to launch a new e-based education system. For the success of this programme the online network should be ensured in the rural areas. What is the government’s initiative in this regard?
