Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s books have always been favourites among the book-lovers who visit the Kolkata International Book Fair. This year has been no different.
Nine books penned by her released at this year’s edition of Kolkata Book Fair. on January 30, the day of the inauguration. With these nine, the total number of books penned by Mamata Banerjee touched 79. Many of these have been translated into English, Urdu and Ol Chiki too.
The books that released this year were:
- Maa, Mati, Manush is a collection of her poems published in Hindi,
- A book written in Ol-Chiki script,
- Savera, written in Urdu,
- My Journey, written in English,
- Sishu Bela, a book for children,
- Asahishnuta,
- Rudraksha, a collection of her poems,
- Amar Naba Prajanma,
- Banglar Kanyashree Aaj Biswa Joyee – a book on the internationally-recognised Kanyashree scheme.
All the books are available at the Jago Bangla stall.
বইমেলায় জনপ্রিয় মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর লেখা বই
বিগত কয়েক বছরের মত এবছরের বইমেলাতে বিপুল চাহিদা মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের লেখা বইগুলির। ২০১৮র কলকাতা আন্তর্জাতিক বইমেলা উদ্বোধন হয় গত ৩০শে জানুয়ারি। সেদিনই প্রকাশ হয় তার লেখা ৯টি বই। সব মিলিয়ে তাঁর লেখা বইয়ের সংখ্যা ৭৯ ছুঁয়েছে।
প্রথম দিন থেকেই লক্ষ্য করার মতো চাহিদা দেখা গেছে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নতুন ও পুরনো বইগুলিকে ঘিরে।
‘মা মাটি মানুষ’ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের সংগ্রামী কবিতার হিন্দী সঙ্কলন যা প্রকাশ করছে রাজকমল প্রকাশন। অন্য একটি বই অলচিকি হরফে যা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সাঁওতালি আকাদেমি প্রকাশ করছে।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর লেখা অন্যান্য বইগুলি হল, ‘সভেরা’ যা লেখা হয়েছে উর্দু ভাষায়। ‘মাই জার্নি’ আরেকটি ইংরাজি বই যা মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নিজের লেখা নিজের সংগ্রামের দিনগুলিকে নিয়ে।
বাকি পাঁচটি বই বাংলায় লেখা – শিশুদের জন্য ‘শিশু বেলা’, কবিতার সঙ্কলন অসহিষ্ণুতা, রুদ্রাক্ষ, এ ছাড়া ‘আমার নব প্রজন্ম’, ‘বাংলার কন্যাশ্রী আজ বিশ্বজয়ী’।
