Monika Soren, a Kanyashree from Nayagram Block under Jhargram Sub Division, Paschim Midnapore has made the country proud by winning gold in the team event of the 2nd Stage Asia Archery Cup World Ranking Tournament held at Chinese Taipei Taiwan.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lauded her feat in her latest Facebook post.

Monica was felicitated by Bengal Chief Minister on the 2015 Kanyashree Divas held at Nazrul Mancha.

Thank you Deputy Speaker Sir.

Police modernization has been taken out from the list of centrally-funded schemes because of which West Bengal will suffer, specially in Jangalmahal and Hill areas. Chandrakona in Paschim Medinipur district partly comes in Jangalmahal area which falls under my parliamentary constituency of Arambagh; it consists of people from weaker sections of the society.

Since national security is dependent on police modernisation, central government has to allocate funds to the State Government. Bengal should be given full A category status, Hon’ble Chief Minister has already written to Centre regarding the allocation of funds. Hence I urge the Hon’ble  Prime Minister to instruct the Home ministry to act upon this demand and do the needful for the betterment of the public.

Mamata Banerjee addressed three rallies today in Nadia and Murshidabad districts.

The first rally was held at Karimpur. After that she addressed two more rallies at Jalangi and Kandi.

Mamata Banerjee today strongly criticised the BJP at an election rally in Kandi. She also came down heavily on the Congress and the CPI(M).

Here are the highlights of her speech:

  • While our government is working relentlessly, I would like to know from those who only spread lies on television, the list of development work they have done here in Kandi.
  • The Kandi master-plan was drawn up by our government.
  • A Kisan Bazar is nearly complete here.
  • We have given here land for starting a campus of the Aligarh University in Murshidabad.
  • We have started Fair Price Medicine Shops and free healthcare services in our state.
  • We have created a Mother and Child Hub (MCH) in Murshidabad on a budget of Rs 16 crore and several Sick Newborn Stabilisation Units (SNSUs).
  • 3 multi super-speciality hospitals have been started in the district at Jangipur, Domkal and Sagardighi.
  • New units at Sagardighi power plant have been started with Rs 6,000 crore.
  • An eco-tourism park has been set up here.
  • Our Muslim brothers and sisters have received reservation after coming under the OBC category. The minority students have got success in medical college entrance exams, WBCS and judicial service exams.

  • We have started women police stations, 50 courts for women, 88 fast-track courts, 19 human rights courts. 46 government colleges and 171 kisan bazars have been created. 300 polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) have been set up.
  • Those who have only one ear fear of losing the other ear. But the CPI(M) and Congress here have lost both the ears and do not fear of losing anything more. They have lost their balance and and all senses.
  • The CPI(M) had once raised the slogan “Gali gali mein shor hai, Rajiv Gandhi chor hai”. Today the Congress is begging the CPI(M) for votes and the comrades are now Cong-reds. The Congress is like the uchchhe-pata, the CPI(M) is the neem-pata and the BJP is like the Babla-kata tree.
  • Some migratory birds are coming from Delhi for votes. Narendra Modi has come to Bengal and said that he could not see any signs of development here. We can get him treated for cataracts at our eye-hospitals here.
  • Other leaders look at things from a party point of view. But I do not believe in viewing things with a party bias . I do not attack others personally.
  • I do not fear these people from Delhi who try to give me lessons on Hindutva. I believe in respecting all religions and all religious places, unlike them.
  • The Prime Minister should not utter words that threaten the federal structure of this country. There have been threats from these leaders from the Centre to separate Cooch Behar and Darjeeling from West Bengal. The Prime Minister of our country is trying to divide our state and we strongly oppose this.
  • Those who are themselves mountains of corruption, should not give us moral lessons. We did not create the Saradha, it was created by the Left. We made the first arrests on this in 2012, and that is why other parties were angry with us.

 

আমি অন্যদের ব্যক্তিগত আক্রমণ করি না: দিদি

আজ কান্দিতে এক নির্বাচনী জনসভায় মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়  বিজেপি এবং কংগ্রেস-সিপিএম জোটকে তীব্র আক্রমণ করেন।

এখানে তার বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ 

  • আমাদের সরকার নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। যারা টিভির পর্দায় বসে শুধু মিথ্যে বলে চলেছেন, তাদের উদ্যেশ্যে আমার প্রশ্ন – কান্দির জন্য আপনারা কী কাজ করেছেন?
  • আমাদের সরকার কান্দির জন্য মাস্টার প্ল্যান তৈরী করেছে।
  • কিষাণ বাজারের কাজ এখানে প্রায় শেষের মুখে।
  • মুর্শিদাবাদে আলিগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জন্য আমরা ইতিমধ্যেই জমি দিয়েছি।
  • বাকি রাজ্যের মতো এই রাজ্যেও আমরা ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান আর সরকারী হাসপাতালে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা চালু করেছি।
  • মুর্শিদাবাদে আমরা ১৬ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে একটি Mother and Child Hub (MCH) শুরু করেছি। SNSU-ও চালু হয়েছে এখানে।
  • জেলার ৩টি মাল্টি সুপার-স্পেশালিটি হাসপাতাল শুরু হয়েছে জঙ্গিপুর, ডোমকল এবং সাগরদিঘীতে।
  • সাগরদিঘী বিদ্যুত কেন্দ্রে ৬,০০০ কোটি টাকায়ে নতুন ইউনিট চালু হয়েছে।
  • এখানে একটি eco-tourism উদ্যান তৈরি হয়েছে।
  • মুসলমান ভাইবোনেদের সংরক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়ে গেছে তাদের OBC তালিকাভুক্ত করে। সংখ্যালঘু ছাত্রছাত্রীরা এখন মেডিকেল কলেজে, WBCS পরীক্ষায়ে এবং জুডিশিয়াল পরীক্ষায় বিপুল সংখ্যায় সাফল্য পাচ্ছে। আমাদের সরকার ইমাম ও মুএজিনদেরও সহায়তা দিচ্ছে।
  • আমরা প্রচুর মহিলা থানা, ৫০টি মহিলা আদালত, ৮৮টি ফাস্ট-ট্র্যাক আদালত, ১৯টি মানবাধিকার আদালত, ৪৬টি সরকারী কলেজ, ১৭১টি কিষান বাজার এবং ৩০০টি পলিটেকনিক ও ITI স্থাপন করেছি।
  • সিপিএম এবং কংগ্রেস-এর দুটি কানই কাটা। তাই ওদের আর কান কাটা যাওয়ার ভয় নেই।
  • সিপিএম একদা স্লোগান তুলেছিল “গলি গলি মে শোর হে, রাজীব গান্ধী চোর হে” আর আজ সেই কংগ্রেসই সিপিএম-এর কাছে ভোট ভিক্ষে করছে। কমরেডরা এখন হলো কং-রেড।  কংগ্রেস হল উচ্ছেপাতা, সিপিএম হল নিমপাতা আর বিজেপি হল বাবলা গাছের কাঁটা।
  • বসন্তের কোকিলের মত নরেন্দ্রবাবু পশ্চিমবঙ্গে আসেন আর এসে বলেন যে উনি উন্নয়নের কিছুই দেখতে পাচ্ছেন না এখানে। ওনার চোখে ছানি পরে থাকলে আমরা ওনার চিকিৎসা করে দিতে পারি।
  • আমি সবকিছু পার্টির চোখ দিয়ে দেখি না। আমি অন্যদের ব্যক্তিগত আক্রমণ করি না।
  • যারা দিল্লি থেকে এসে আমায়ে হিন্দুত্ব নিয়ে জ্ঞান দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করেন, আমি তাদের ভয় করিনা। আমি সব ধর্মকেই সমানভাবে শ্রদ্ধা করি।
  • দেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এমন কিছু বলা উচিত নয় যা দেশের যুক্তরাষ্ট্রীয় কাঠামোকে আঘাত করতে পারে। এখানে ওরা কোচ বিহার ও দার্জিলিং-কে ভাগ করার কথা বলে। আমরা এর প্রতিবাদ করি।
  • যারা নিজেরাই দুর্নীতির পাহাড়ে চড়ে বসে আছেন, তারা আমাদের দিকে আঙ্গুল তুলবেন না। আমরা সারদা তৈরী করিনি। এটা তৈরী করেছিল বামেরা। আমরা যখন ২০১২ সালে প্রথম গ্রেপ্তার করা শুরু করলাম, তখন সবার অস্বস্তি বেড়ে গেল।

Over the last four-and-a-half years, Paschim Medinipur has witnessed much improvement in governance. The Trinamool Congress has brought about a lot of development in the district. From infrastructure to education to health to just about everything else, the district is brimming with activities, as a consequence of which the people are happy.

 

Administration

  • Three new women’s police stations set up in Jhargram district – Jhargram, Medinipur and Kharagpur

 

Health & Family Welfare

  • Sick newborn care units (SNCUs): Three set up in Medinipur, Jhargram and Ghatal hospitals
  • Sick newborn stabilisation units (SNSUs): 22 set up in different block hospitals
  • Critical care units (CCUs): 2 set up in Medinipur Medical College and Hospital, and Jhargram District Hospital
  • High dependency units (HDUs): 1 set up in Ghatal Sub-divisional Hospital
  • Belpahari Block Primary Care Centre converted into a 60-bedded hospital
  • Trauma Care Centre set up in Kharagpur Hospital
  • Lalgarh General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) Training Centre almost completed

 

Education

  • Separate toilets built for boys and girls in all schools
  • Bicycles given to 1.16 lakh students in Paschim Medinipur as part of the Sabuj Sathi Scheme
  • Two model schools built in Gopiballavpur and Nayagram
  • One hundred and sixteen primary schools and 720 Higher Secondary schools built; 11 primary schools upgraded to upper primary schools and 262 Madhyamik schools upgraded to Higher Secondary.
  • Mid-day meals being served in all schools, resulting in improvement of both health and attendance, as well a decrease in students dropping off

 

Fishery and Animal Husbandry

  • Almost Rs 50 lakh has been spent to set up fish farming through the cluster technique
  • About 15 lakh chicken and ducklings distributed among various self-help groups (SHG)
  • To generate employment for the youth, 140 Bengal Dairy Kiosks have been set up

 

Minority Welfare

  • Under the Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MSDP), Rs 372 crore has been spent under various projects.
  • This includes 110 classrooms, five building for housing Shishu Siksha Kendra (SSK), 95 buildings under ICDS, seven health centres, one village haat, 282 drinking water projects and 21 micro-irrigation projects.

 

Backward Classes Development

  • 2.45 lakh SC/ST/OBC certificates given
  • To make plates out of sal leaves, 372 machines given to self-help groups

 

Social security

  • Old-age pension being given to 60,000 people from ST communities
  • West Bengal Kendu Leaves Collectors’ Social Security Scheme, 2015 implemented under the name of Samaj Sathi

 

Industry

  • Khasjungle Industrial Growth Centre set up
  • To encourage micro, small and medium enterprises, 25 clusters set up
  • For the purpose of setting up MSMEs, bank loans worth Rs 3,000 crore given out
  • Work for IT park in Kharagpur almost complete

 

PWD and Transport

  • 745 km of roads built/renovated/widened

 

Irrigation

  • Thirteen micro-irrigation projects completed

 

Public Health Engineering

  • Work for 134 water projects started, of which work for 69, worth Rs 81 crore completed.

 

Tourism

  • Jahrgram Rajbari renovated; 21 eco-tourism cottages built

 

Self-Help Groups (SHG)

  • Under Swami Vivekananda Swanirbhar Karmasuchi, 11,000 projects sanctioned

 

Sports and Youth Affairs

  • 583 clubs given financial assistance

 

Biotechnology

  • Sabuj Ahavan Scheme: To create awareness of the good sides of biotechnology, this project has come up in Dhansol village in Gopiballavpur block.

There have been a lot of developments in the districts; and there are plans to bring about more development. The people have never been happier, a far cry from the dark days of Left rule.

 

পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরঃ উন্নয়ন এক নজরে

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে, পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলায় ত্রিনমুল কংগ্রেস নিরন্তর কাজ করে বিশাল মাত্রায় উন্নয়ন এবং প্রগতি নিয়ে এসেছে। পরিকাঠামো থেকে শুরু করে শিক্ষা এবং স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান, এই সব ক্ষেত্রেই প্রচুর উন্নয়ন হয়েছে যার কারনে জেলার সকল মানুষ খুব খুশি।

স্বরাষ্ট্র

৩টি নতুন নতুন মহিলা থানা চালু করা হয়েছে ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলায় – ঝাড়গ্রাম, মেদিনীপুর ও খরগপুর।

 স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান

৩টি SNCU চালু করা হয়েছে মেদিনীপুর, ঝাড়গ্রাম এবং ঘাটালে।

২২টি SNSU গড়া হয়েছে বিভিন্ন ব্লক হাসপাতালে।

২টি CCU গড়া হয়েছে মেদিনীপুর মেডিকেল কলেজে ও হাসপাতাল এবং ঝারগ্রাম জেলা হাসপাতালে।

ঘাটাল সাব ডিভিশনাল হাসপাতালে ১টি HDU গড়া হয়েছে।

বেলফারি ব্লক প্রাইমারি কেয়ার সেন্টারকে রূপান্তরিত করা হয়েছে ৬০টি শয্যাবিশিষ্ট  হাসপাতালে।

খড়গপুর হাসপাতাল গড়া হয়েছে ট্রমা কেয়ার সেন্টার।

GNM Training Centre গড়া প্রায় শেষ হতে চলেছে।

শিক্ষা

ছেলে ও মেয়েদের জন্য পৃথক শৌচাগার সব স্কুলে।

এই জেলার ১.১৬ লাখ ছাত্র সবুজ সাথী প্রকল্পে সাইকেল পেয়েছে।

গোপিবল্লভপুর ও নয়াগ্রামে ২টি মডেল স্কুল তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

১১৬টি প্রাথমিক ও ৭২০টি উচ্চ প্রাথমিক স্কুল চালু করা হয়েছে। ১১টি প্রাথমিক স্কুলকে উচ্চ প্রাথমিক স্কুল এবং ২৬২ মাধ্যমিক স্কুলকে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক স্কুলে রূপান্তরিত করা হয়েছে।

সব স্কুলে মিড ডে মিল দেওয়া হচ্ছে যার ফলে পুষ্টি এবং উপস্থিতির হার বেড়েছে এবং স্কুল ছুট ছাত্রদের সংখ্যা কমেছে।

 মৎস্য ও পশুপালন

প্রায় ৫০ লক্ষ টাকা খরচ করা হয়েছে ক্লাস্টার টেকনিক দ্বারা মৎস্য চাষের জন্য।

প্রায় ১৫ লক্ষ হাঁস ও মুরগির বাচ্চা স্বনির্ভর দলের মধ্যে বিতরণ করা হয়েছে।

যুবক-যুবতীদের কর্ম সংস্থানের জন্য ১৪০টি বেঙ্গল ডেয়ারি কিয়স্ক গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।

সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়ন

MSDP-তে ৩৭২ কোটি টাকা দিয়ে বিভিন্ন প্রকল্প রূপায়িত করা হয়েছে।

এর মধ্যে রয়েছে ১১০টি ক্লাসরুম, ৫টি শিশু শিক্ষা কেন্দ্রের জন্য বিল্ডিং, ৯৫টি বিল্ডিং ICDS এর জন্য, ৭টি হেলথ সেন্টার, ১টি গ্রামীণ বাজার, ২৮২টি পানীয় জলের প্রকল্প এবং ২১টি মাইক্রো ইরিগেশন প্রকল্প।

অনগ্রসর কল্যান

২.৪৫ লাখ SC/ST/OBC সার্টিফিকেট প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

শাল পাতার থালা বানানোর জন্য ৩৭২টি মেশিন স্বনির্ভর দলকে প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

সামাজিক সুরক্ষা

৬০,০০০ ST কমিউনিটির লোকেদের ওল্ড-এজ পেনশান দেওয়া হয়েছে।

২০১৫-তে সমাজ সাথী নামে কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীদের জন্য সোশ্যাল সিকিউরিটি স্কিম চালু করা হয়েছে।

শিল্প

ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল গ্রোথ সেন্টার নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে।

২৫টি MSME ক্লাস্টার তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

MSME গর্তে সুবিধা করতে ৩০০০ কোটি টাকার ব্যাঙ্ক লোন দেওয়া হয়েছে।

খড়্গপুরে আই টি পার্ক নির্মাণ করার কাজ প্রায় শেষ।

পূর্ত ও পরিবহন

 ৭৪৫ কিমি. রাস্তা তৈরি/সারানো/বাড়ানোর কাজ হয়েছে।

সেচ

১৩টি মাইক্রো ইরিগেশান প্রকল্পের কাজ শেষ করা হয়েছে।

জনস্বাস্থ্য কারিগরি

১৩৪টি জলের প্রকল্প শুরু করা হয়েছে, যার মধ্যে ৬৯টির কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে ৮১ কোটি টাকা খরচ করে।

পর্যটন

ঝাড়গ্রাম রাজবাড়ি পুনঃসংস্কার করা হয়েছে। ২১ ইকো-টুরিসিম কটেজ তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

স্বনির্ভর দল

স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ স্বনির্ভর কর্মসূচি প্রকল্পে ১১০০০টি প্রকল্প অনুমোদন করা হয়েছে।

ক্রিড়া ও যুব কল্যান

৫৮৩টি ক্লাবকে আর্থিক সাহায্য করা হয়েছে।

বায়োটেকনোলজি

সবুজ আহবান প্রকল্প – গোপিবল্লভপুর ব্লকে বায়োটেকনোলজি-র সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিতে এই প্রকল্পটি রূপায়িত হচ্ছে।

এই জেলায় প্রচুর উন্নয়ন হয়েছে এবং আরো উন্নয়ন আনার জন্যে আরো পরিকল্পনা আছে। বাম আমলের দুর্দিন থেকে এগিয়ে আজ এই জেলার লোকের মুখে হাসি ফুটে উঠেছে।

On Sunday, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee addressed three rallies in Paschim Medinipur district, part of the campaign for the 2016 Assembly elections.

All three places – Garbeta, Salboni and Keshpur – witnessed big turnouts. In Keshpur, once infamous for Left terror, Abhishek Banerjee said that Trinamool respects the people’s opinion and would work on the path shown by them. He said that people would express their opinions through the ballot box, in a democratic manner.

During his speeches, he also said that it was Mamata Banerjee who had brought peace to the Jangalmahal region. He stressed the fact that the Left Front could not do even 10% of the work that the Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee has accomplished during the past four-and-a-half years.

 

আমাদের সহনশীলতাকে আমাদের দুর্বলতা মনে করা উচিত নয়: অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

গত রবিবার পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলায় তিনটি জনসভা করেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

গড়বেতা, শালবনি ও কেশপুরে এদিন জনসভা করেন অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। লাল সন্ত্রাসের জন্য একসময় কুখ্যাত কেশপুরে দাঁড়িয়ে তিনি বলেন, তৃণমূল সব সময় সাধারণ মানুষের মতামতকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে সেই পথকেই অনুসরণ করে। তিনি আরও বলেন, মানুষ গণতান্ত্রিক পদ্ধতিতে ভোটবাক্সে তাদের জবাব দেবেন।

এদিন তিনি বলেন, জঙ্গলমহলে যিনি শান্তি ফিরিয়ে এনেছেন তিনি মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। গত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে তৃণমূল যে কাজ করেছে বামফ্রন্ট তাদের ৩৪ বছরের শাসনকালে তার ১০ শতাংশ কাজও করতে পারেনি।

Unprecedented development in Paschim Medinipur

Along with the rest of West Bengal, the district of West Midnapore has also seen unprecedented development under the Trinamool Congress Government.

About 93% of the people in the district can now access State Government schemes.

Here are some highlights of the development in the distrcit:

Administration

  • To enable smoother administration, Jhargram soon to be made a new district
  • Jhargram is already a separate police district

 

Health & Family Welfare

  • For the last almost three years, Jhargram is a separate health district, enabling better servicing.
  • Multi super-speciality hospitals: Four completed – Nayagram, Jhargram, Ghatal, Gopiballavpur; two in Salbani and Debra to be completed by March
  • Fair price medicine stores (FPMSs) set up in Medinipur, Jhargram, Kharagpur and Ghatal Hospitals, as a result of whichmore than 8 lakh people have got a total discount of Rs 13.2 lakh
  • Fair price diagnostic centres (FPDCs) set up in Medinipur, Jhargram and Kharagpur hospitals
  • Mother & Child Care Hub to soon come up in Medinipur Medical College and Hospital
  • 10 mobile medical units (MMUs) in the Jangalmahal region

 

Education

  • Colleges: Nine colleges started – in Lalgarh, Nayagram, Salboni, Keshiari, Gopiballavpur-2, Dantan-2, Kharagpur-2, Mohonapur and Jhargram blocks (women’s wing in Jhargram Raj College)
  • Industrial training institutes (ITIs) built in Ghatal, Salbani, Debra, Garbeta-1, Keshpur, Binpur-2, Nayagram

  • Under IAP, the West Bengal Government ensured completion of 89% of the projects, spending 92% of the funds

  • Vidyasagar Industrial Park and Godapiyasal Industrial set up in Kharagpur
  • JSW has set up a big cement plant
  • Under Natural Fibre Mission, 2,620 loom workers given skill development courses and many provided equipment as well

  • Circuit tourism project completed in Jhargram, at Rs 3.76 crore; included are Jhargram Living Art Museum, renovation of Chilkigarh Kanak Durga Temple and eco-tourism centres in Hatibari, Kankrajhor and Ketkijhora.

  • Under Anandadhara Scheme, 6,000 SHGs formed
  • Karma Tirtha: 2 set up, 9 more being set up

 

Housing

  • Under Gitanjali Scheme for housing for the homeless, 7,000 houses constructed, and 7,000 more to be built by May

 

Sports and Youth Affairs

  • Stadium in Salbani, Jhargram Sports Academy, Kharagpur

 

Biotechnology

  • Cultivation of lac trees and other cash crops for scheduled tribes
  • A Bioinformatics Centre has been set up in the district.

Under Trinamool Congress, the district of Paschim Medinipur, in fact, the whole of Jnagalmahal has benefitted immensely. The whole district is growing rapidly.

 

পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন

সমগ্র রাজ্যের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলায় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সরকারের অধীনে উন্নয়নের জোয়ার এসেছে। এই জেলার প্রায় ৯৩ শতাংশ মানুষের কাছে সরকারি পরিষেবা পৌঁছে গেছে।

এখানে উন্নয়নের কিছু খতিয়ান উল্লেখ করা হলঃ  

স্বরাষ্ট্র

  • প্রশাসনিক সুবিধার্থে ঝাড়গ্রামে নতুন জেলা গঠনের সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে।
  • ঝাড়গ্রাম ইতিমধ্যেই পৃথক পুলিশ জেলা হিসেবে গড়ে উঠেছে।

 

স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যান

  • ঝাড়গ্রামকে পৃথক স্বাস্থ্য জেলা হিসেবে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে।
  • ৪টি মাল্টি সুপার স্পেশ্যালিটি হাসপাতাল নির্মাণের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছে। এগুলি হল –  নয়াগ্রাম, ঝাড়গ্রাম, ঘাটাল ও গোপীবল্লভপুর।
  • মেদিনীপুর, ঝাড়গ্রাম, খড়গপুর ও ঘাটাল হাসপাতালে ন্যায্য মূল্যের ওষুধের দোকান চালু হয়ে গেছে। এইসব দোকান থেকে ওষুধ কেনার ফলে ৮ লক্ষের বেশি মানুষ ১৩ কোটি ২০ লক্ষ টাকা ছাড় পেয়েছেন।
  • মেদিনীপুর, ঝাড়গ্রাম, খড়গপুর হাসপাতালে ন্যায্য মূল্যের ডায়াগনস্টিক কেন্দ্র চালু হয়ে গেছে।
  • ৩টি SNCU এবং ২২টি SNSU ইতিমধ্যেই চালু হয়ে গেছে। এছাড়া ১টি HDU এবং ২টি CCU চালু হয়ে গেছে।
  • জঙ্গলমহল এলাকায় ১০টি ব্লকে ভ্রাম্যমাণ মেডিকেল ইউনিট চালু আছে।

 

শিক্ষা

  • এই জেলায় ৯টি কলেজ চালু হয়ে গেছে। যথা- লালগড়, নয়াগ্রাম, শালবনী, কেশিয়াড়ি, গোপীবল্লভপুর-২, দাঁতন-২, খড়গপুর-২, মোহনপুর ও ঝাড়গ্রাম।
  • ৭ টি আইটিআই নির্মাণের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে। আরও ২টি আইটিআই নির্মাণের কাজ চলছে।
  • রামগড়ে নতুন পলিটেকনিক কলেজ চালু হয়েছে এবং পঠন-পাঠনও শুরু হয়েছে।

 

ভূমি সংস্কার ও কৃষি

  • এই জেলায় নিজ গৃহ নিজ ভূমি প্রকল্পে প্রায় ১৮ হাজার ভূমিহীন পরিবারকে ৫৫৬ একর জমির পাট্টা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
  • বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ১২ হাজারেরও বেশি পাট্টা প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
  • এই জেলায় ৭ লক্ষ কৃষককে কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ডের আওতাভুক্ত করা হয়েছে।
  • ১১ টি কিষাণ মাণ্ডি তৈরির কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছে।

 

সংখ্যালঘু উন্নয়ন

  • বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে ২.৬৮ লক্ষ ছাত্রছাত্রীকে ৩৮ কোটি টাকা বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
  • এছাড়া স্বনির্ভরতার জন্য সংখ্যালঘু যুবক-যুবতীদের প্রায় ১০ কোটি টাকা ঋণ প্রদান করা হবে।

 

অনগ্রসর কল্যাণ ও আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন

  • ১ লক্ষেরও বেশি ছাত্রছাত্রী শিক্ষাশ্রী প্রকল্পে সহায়তা পাচ্ছে।
  • ১০৬০টি লোধা জনজাতির ঘর নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে।

 

কন্যাশ্রী

এই জেলায় আড়াই লক্ষ ছাত্রছাত্রী কন্যাশ্রীর আওতায় এসেছে।

খাদ্য সুরক্ষা কর্মসূচী – খাদ্য সাথী প্রকল্প

এই জেলায় ৪৫ লক্ষ মানুষ ২ টাকা কেজি দরে খাদ্যশস্য পাচ্ছেন।

 শিল্প

  • খড়গপুরে বিদ্যাসাগর ও গোদাপিয়াশাল ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল পার্ক নির্মিত হয়েছে।
  • জে.এস.ডব্লিউ সিমেন্টের শালবনি প্লান্ট স্থাপনের কাজ শুরু হয়েছে।

 

পূর্ত ও পরিবহন

বিগত সাড়ে চার বছরে এই জেলায় পূর্ত দপ্তর ২০০টি প্রকল্পের কাজ ইতিমধ্যে সমাপ্ত হয়ে গেছে।

বিদ্যুৎ

‘সবার ঘরে আলো’ প্রকল্পে গ্রামীণ বৈদ্যুতিকরনের কাজ সমাপ্ত হয়েছে।

সেচ ব্যবস্থা

  • এই জেলায় জলতীর্থ প্রকল্পে ২১টি চেক ড্যাম রূপায়িত করা হয়েছে।
  • কংসাবতী নদীর ওপর ৭৫০ মিটার দীর্ঘ আমকলা সেতু নির্মিত হয়েছে।

 

পর্যটন

ঝাড়গ্রামে ৩.৭৬ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে ১টি সার্কিট ট্যুরিজম প্রজেক্টের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে ঝাড়গ্রাম লিভিং আর্ট মিউজিয়াম, চিল্কিগড় কণকদুর্গা মন্দির সংস্কার, হাতিবাড়ি, কাঁকড়াঝোড়, কেটকীঝোড় ইকো ট্যুরিজম প্রকল্প।

স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী

  • আনন্দধারা প্রকল্পে ৬ হাজার স্বনির্ভর দল গঠিত হয়েছে।
  • ১১টি কর্ম তীর্থর মধ্যে ২টির নির্মাণ কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে, আরও ৯টির নির্মাণ কাজ চলছে।

 

আবাসন

গীতাঞ্জলি প্রকল্পে ১৪ হাজার বাসস্থান নির্মিত হচ্ছে এর মধ্যে ৭ হাজার বাসস্থান নির্মাণের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে গেছে।

ক্রীড়া ও যুব কল্যান

শালবনি স্টেডিয়াম ও ঝাড়গ্রাম স্পোর্টস অ্যাকাডেমি নির্মাণের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয়েছে।

বায়োটেকনোলজি

  • তপশিলি উপজাতি মানুষের উন্নয়নের জন্য লাক্ষা চাষ ও অন্যান্য অর্থনৈতিক ফসলের উৎপাদন বৃদ্ধি করা হচ্ছে।
  • এই জেলায় একটি বায়োফার্মাটিক সেন্টার তৈরি হয়েছে।

 

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস পরিচালিত সরকারের আমলে পুরো পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলা, সমগ্র জঙ্গলমহল জেলার মানুষ উপকৃত হয়েছে। সমগ্র জেলার বিপুল অগ্রগতি হয়েছে।

Jhargram in Paschim Medinipur district, in the Jangalmahal region, is all set to become a tourists’ paradise.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee laid the foundation stone for a zoo there recently, which has been named Jangalmahal Zoological Park.

The already-existing mini zoo, about three kilometres from the town, will be converted into this full-fledged zoo. It will be located on about 23 hectares and would be the largest zoo in South Bengal.

The mini zoo has animals like barking deer, bears, peacocks, jungle cats, crocodiles, spotted turtles, snakes as well as different species of birds. Many more species would join them after the formation of the full-fledged zoo, including tigers, leopards, monkeys and other animals.

There would also be a sanctuary for birds and even an animal hospital. Roads would also be constructed inside the zoo for people to move around comfortably.

 

ঝাড়গ্রাম জুলজিকাল পার্ক – জঙ্গলমহলের শিরোপায় নতুন পালক

পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের জঙ্গলমহল এলাকার ঝাড়গ্রাম এখন একটি বিখ্যাত পর্যটন কেন্দ্র।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, কয়েকদিন আগেই জঙ্গলমহলে একটি চিড়িয়াখানার শিলান্যাস করেন যার নাম ‘জঙ্গলমহল জুলজিকাল পার্ক”।

দক্ষিণবঙ্গের বৃহত্তম চিড়িয়াখানাটি ২৩ হেক্টর জমির ওপর তৈরি হবে।

এই ছোট চিড়িয়াখানাটিতে বার্কিং ডিয়ার, ভালুক, ময়ূর, জংলী বিড়াল, কুমীর, কচ্ছপ, সাপ ও বিভিন্ন ধরনের পাখি আছে। চিড়িয়াখানা পুনর্নির্মাণের পর আরও কিছু প্রজাতির পশু পাখি যেমন- বাঘ, চিতাবাঘ, বাঁদর ও অন্যান্য পশু পাখি আনা হবে।

সেখানে একটি বার্ড স্যাংচুয়ারিও হবে যেখানে পশু-পাখি চিকিৎসালয়ও থাকবে। চিড়িয়াখানার ভেতরে রাস্তাও তৈরি হবে যাতে মানুষ ঘুরে তা দেখতে পারেন।

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee inaugurated a host of developmental projects in Nayagram, Paschim Medinipur district.

Two bridges were inaugurated – one over the Subarnarekha River at Bhasraghat in Nayagram, named Jangal Kanya, connecting Keshiary and Nayagram block, and the other, Lalgarh Bridge, over the Kansabati River at Aamkala Ghat in Lalgarh, connecting Medinipur and Jhargram.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated six super-speciality hospitals and other health projects from Nayagram. The six are Jhargram Super-speciality Hospital, Kakdwip Super-speciality Hospital, Bishnupur Super-speciality Hospital, Panskura Super-speciality Hospital, Baruipur Super-speciality Hospital and Gopiballavpur Super-speciality Hospital.

The other health projects are a Mother & Child Hub at Krishnanagar District Hospital, Critical Care Units at Bankura and Burdwan Medical College & Hospitals, a High-Dependency Unit at Kakdwip Sub-divisional Hospital, an SNCU at Alipurduar, Digital X-Ray Units at Rampurhat and Raiganj District Hospitals, and Canning Sub-divisional Hospital, Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres at Tapsia Rural Hospital in Gopiballavpur Block-II, Mohanpur Block Primary Health Centre (BPHC) in Jhargram Block, Salboni Rural Hospital in Salboni Block, Kewakole BPHC in Garbeta Block-II and Depara BPHC in Medinipur Sadar Block.

Foundation stones of two health units – Trauma Care Unit and High-Dependency Unit at Amtala Rural Hospital, South 24-Parganas – were laid.

Two wildlife projects were also inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee – naturalistic enclosures of Jangalmahal Zoological Park in Jhargram and the State Forest Training Institute in Hijli.

Jangalmahal under the Trinamool Congress has seen a huge surge of developmental activities. The dark days of Amlasole are over. Now, the picture of plenty is eye-catching. Various schemes on food security, health, irrigation and drinking water have put smiles on the faces of all the people of Jangalmahal.

 

The salient points of the Chief Minister’s speech at the inauguration ceremony:

  • I feel proud that I am able to be present with you here in Nayagram.
  • I convey my best wishes to all the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinees this year.
  • I have named the new bridge over the Subarnarekha river inaugurated today ‘Jangal Kanya.’
  • This is the longest bridge in West Bengal.
  • We have spent Rs 170 cr to build the Jangal Kanya Bridge. It will benefit the people on both sides.
  • Nayagram Stadium is going to be built soon.
  • Of 25 lakh bicycles to be distributed, 20 lakh have already been given, 2 lakh are being given today, and the rest 3 lakh are going to be given soon.
  • Jhargram is to be made into a district, within the next six months. Now it is a subdivision.
  • Six super-speciality hospitals have also been inaugurated from Nayagram today.
  • In the first six months, only the out-patients department (OPD) would operate; after that would the hospitals become fully operational.
  • Many other health projects have been inaugurated today.
  • A Forest Training Institute has come, and renovations have been done to two zoological parks.
  • We are extending benefits of Government programmes to 93% of the people of the district.
  • Within the next 6 months, Jhargram will become a new district.
  • Two Kisan Mandis have come up in Paschim Medinipur district – in Binpur-2 and Garbeta-2 blocks.
  • This district has seen all-around development.
  • The earlier Government did nothing for Jangalmahal for 34 yrs, and transformed it into a land of bloodshed.
  • We have brought the smiles back to the people of Jangalmahal, we have brought back peace.
  • What did those people, who are making so much of noise now, do in the 34 yrs that they had?
  • This Government has been under a huge debt, but the work that has been done has reached the people in the grassroots.
  • The good work that has been done is only due to the blessings of ‘Maa, Mati, Manush.’
  • I do not want the ICDS to close down, I want it to function smoothly for the benefit of the people.
  • That is why the State is funding the programme; the Central Government has stopped its funding.
  • Those who are doing politics with the Sabuj Sathi programme today did not think of anything close to it in the 34 years.
  • We have allotted Rs 500 crore for the areas which are dry, so that water can be conserved.
  • Rs 700 crore has been spent for a programme to safeguard Purba and Paschim Medinipur districts from flooding.
  • We have put in place a mechanism so that the police constables are recruited from the civic volunteers and Home Guards; there is a 15% quota in those two forces.
  • We have worked for all people irrespective of their status.
  • We have distributed livestock to the people to support their livelihood.
  • We have introduced a security programme for the kendu leaf collectors.
  • We love the people of Jangalmahal and we love the soil of this region which has stood through so much.
  • We answer all the slander from the Opposition through development.
  • Bengal will show the way forward in the future.

জঙ্গলমহলে বেশ কিছু প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের নয়াগ্রাম ও অন্যান্য জায়গায় বেশ কিছু উন্নয়নমূলক প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন।

২টি সেতুর উদ্বোধন হল – একটি নয়াগ্রামের ভসরাঘাটে সুবর্ণরেখা নদীর ওপর, যার নাম জঙ্গলকন্যা এটি খড়গপুর। এই সেতুটি কেশিয়াড়ি ও নয়াগ্রামের মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করেছে। অপরটি লালগড় সেতু, আমকলা ঘাটে কংসাবতী নদীর ওপর অবস্থিত, এর মাধ্যমে মেদিনীপুর ও ঝাড়গ্রামের মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করেছে।

আজ নয়াগ্রামে ৬ টি সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটালেরও উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এগুলি হল, ঝাড়গ্রাম সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল, কাকদ্বীপ সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল,বিষ্ণুপুর সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল, পাঁশকুঁড়া সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল, বারুইপুর সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল এবং গোপীবল্লভপুর সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটাল।

কৃষ্ণনগর জেলা হাসপাতালে মাদার ও চাইল্ড হাব, বাঁকুড়া ও বর্ধমান মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ক্রিটিক্যাল কেয়ার ইউনিট, কাকদ্বীপ মহকুমা হাসপাতালে এস.এন.সি.ইউ, রামপুরহাট জেলা হাসপাতালে, ক্যানিং মহকুমা হাসপাতালে এবং রায়গঞ্জ জেলা হাসপাতালে ডিজিটাল এক্স-রে উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। এছাড়া, গোপীবল্লভপুর-২ ব্লকের তপসিয়া গ্রামীণ হাসপাতাল, ঝাড়গ্রাম ব্লকের মোহনপুর ব্লক প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্র, শালবনি গ্রামীণ হাসপাতালেরও উদ্বোধন করলেন।

আমতলা গ্রামীণ হাসপাতালে (দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগণা) ট্রমা কেয়ার ইউনিট ও হাই-ডিপেনডেন্সি ইউনিটের শুভ শিলান্যাস করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

জঙ্গলমহলের ঝাড়গ্রামে প্রকৃতি পরিবেষ্টিত চিড়িয়াখানা এবং খড়গপুরের হিজলিতে রাজ্য বোন প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্র উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

আমলাশোল থেকে শুরু করে সমগ্র জঙ্গলমহলে উন্নয়নের জোয়ার বইছে, তৃণমূল সরকারের আমলে। শিক্ষা, খাদ্য সুরক্ষা, পানীয় জল, স্বাস্থ্য, সেচ সব ক্ষেত্রেই নতুন প্রকল্প চালু হয়েছে। জঙ্গলমহলের সর্বত্র শান্তি বিরাজ করছে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যর কিছু বিষয়ঃ

  • মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার্থীদের আমার অনেক অভিননদন এবং উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার্থীদের আমার অনেক শুভেচ্ছা

  • জঙ্গলমহল থেকে আমি কাজ শুরু করেছিলাম, জঙ্গলমহলে আসতে পেরে আমি গর্বিত
  • ৬ টি সুপার স্পেশালিটি হসপিটালেরও উদ্বোধন হল আজ
  • ৯৩ শতাংশ লোকের কাছে আমরা সরকারি পরিষেবা পৌঁছে দিয়েছি
  • এই জঙ্গল্কন্যা সেতু তৈরি করতে মোট ১৭০ কোটি টাকা খরচ হয়েছে
  • আগামী ৬ মাসের মধ্যে নয়াগ্রাম নতুন জেলায় পরিণত হবে

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee has instructed the Departments of Irrigation, Agriculture and Power to ensure adequate supply of water for irrigation purposes to the districts of Bankura, Purulia, Birbhum, Bardhaman and Paschim Medinipur, comprising Paschimanchal. This comes in the backdrop of less rain over the last few months.

Mamata Banerjee had a meeting with the ministers and secretaries of the Departments of Irrigation, Agriculture and Power yesterday at Nabanna.

Not just for irrigation, the Chief Minister has also instructed the concerned departments to ensure proper supply of drinking water.

Reserve pumps would be used to supply the additional water in the districts of Paschimanchal. Water would be pumped out from canals, lakes and ponds and supplied to the fields. The Irrigation Department would also set up new tubewells in the region for drawing up drinking water.

সোমবার নবান্নে সেচ, কৃষি ও বিদ্যুৎ দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী ও সচিবদের নিয়ে একটি বৈঠক করেন মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

গত কয়েক মাসে চাষের সময় রাজ্যে বৃষ্টি কম হয়েছে। তাই এবার চাষের জমিতে সেচের জল সরবরাহ বাড়াতে নির্দেশ দিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। বাঁকুড়া, পুরুলিয়া, বীরভূম, বর্ধমান এবং পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের মতো রাজ্যের পশ্চিমাঞ্চলে সেচের জল সমস্যা রয়েছে।

শুধুমাত্র সেচের জল নয়, ওই সমস্ত এলাকায় সাধারণ মানুষ যাতে পর্যাপ্ত পানীয় জল পায় সেদিকেও নজর দেওয়ার নির্দেশ দেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

রিজার্ভ পাম্পের সাহায্যে সেচের ব্যবস্থা করা হচ্ছে পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের এলাকাগুলিতে। খালবিল, পুকুর থেকে পাম্পে করে জল বার করে চাষের জমিতে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। এছাড়া সেচের জল ও পানীয় জল সরবরাহের জন্য বেশ কিছু টিউবওয়েল বসাবে রাজ্য সরকার।

The West Bengal Government is making all arrangements for setting up a research station of Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI) in Paschim Medinipur district.

CPRI is an exclusive centre for potato research, which was established in Shimla in 1935.

For the purpose, the State Government has allotted 50 acres to CPRI. “We have already chosen a plot in Paschim Medinipur for setting up a seed processing plant to increase potato production in the state as per the climatic conditions available here,” said Arup Roy, Minister of Agriculture.

On an average, farmers in West Bengal spend Rs 600 for producing one quintal of potatoes. The setting up of the seed processing unit will enable farmers to procure seeds from within the state and thus bring down the cost of production.

 

আলু বীজ তৈরিতে নতুন উদ্যোগ রাজ্য সরকারের

রাজ্যে আলু বীজ তৈরি করার জন্য পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলায় সেন্ট্রাল পোট্যাটো রিসার্চ ইন্সটিটিউটের একটি গবেষণা কেন্দ্র তৈরির পরিকল্পনা করছে রাজ্য সরকার।

সেন্ট্রাল পোট্যাটো রিসার্চ ইন্সটিটিউট প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় সিমলায় ১৯৩৫ সালে।

এই গবেষণা কেন্দ্রের জন্য ৫০ একর জমি পাওয়া গেছে। কৃষিমন্ত্রী অরূপ রায় জানান, “আমরা ইতিমধ্যেই সিপিআরআই কে দেওয়ার জন্য পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরে জমি চিনহিত করেছি। কিন্তু উপযুক্ত বীজ উন্নয়ন কেন্দ্র গড়ে তোলার জন্য ২০০ একর জমি প্রয়োজন”।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গে কৃষকদের প্রতি কুইন্টাল আলু উ९পাদনে ব্যয় হয় ৬০০ টাকা। আলু বীজ গবেষণা কেন্দ্র তৈরি হলে কৃষকরা এখান থেকেই বীজ কিনতে পারবেন, এর ফলে তাদের উৎপাদনের খরচ অনেক কমবে।
