The Self-Help Group and Self- Employment Department has prepared a programme as part of the Muktidhara Scheme to provide training to unemployed youth in hospitality management.

The implementation of the programme has been started by the district administration of Jhargram. Different organisations will be providing the training. The first batch of 28 youths is being trained in Gopiballavpur-II block. More unemployed youths will be given training in the future.

A senior State Government official said the trainees will be given both practical and theoretical training for a period of one month, and the entire cost will be borne by the government.

The youths are being given training on the preparation of various dishes, table decoration and how to behave with the clients. According to the State Government official, the trainees are showing great interest in the preparation of dishes.

With respect to Jhargram district, once infamous for Maoist activities, it is now a model of development. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee carved Jhargram into a new district to fast-track development, and the results are for all to see now.

The district has also become a major tourist hub of Bengal. Hence, the hospitality management training by the State Government would be of great help.

 

হোটেল ও হসপিটালিটি ম্যানেজমেন্ট প্রশিক্ষণ পাচ্ছে ঝাড়গ্রামের যুবারা

স্থানীয় বেকার যুবাদের হোটেল ও হসপিটালিটি ম্যানেজমেন্ট প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে ঝাড়গ্রাম জেলা প্রশাসন। মুক্তিধারা প্রকল্পের অধীনে স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী ও স্বনিযুক্তি দপ্তর এই কর্মসূচীর ব্যবস্থা করেছে।

প্রথম ব্যাচে ২৮ জন যুবাকে গোপীবল্লভপুর ব্লক-২ তে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে। ট্রেনিদের থিওরি এবং প্র্যাক্টিকাল উভয় ক্ষেত্রেই প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে। এই প্রশিক্ষণের সময়সীমা ১ মাস এবং এই প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে সম্পূর্ণ বিনামূল্যে। শেখানো হবে নানা ধরনের রান্না। পাশাপাশি টেবিল সাজানো এবং ক্রেতাদের সঙ্গে সুব্যবহারের খুঁটিনাটিও শেখানো হবে।

ঝাড়গ্রাম খুব দ্রুততার সাথে একটি পর্যটন হাবে পরিণত হচ্ছে। ঝাড়গ্রাম রাজবাড়ি পেয়েছে নতুন রূপ। জেলা প্রশাসন জোর দিচ্ছে হোম-স্টেতে। এখানে পর্যটনে বিপুল সম্ভাবনা আছে। তাই, প্রশিক্ষিত যুবাদের জেলার বিভিন্ন হোটেলেই কর্মসংস্থান হবে।

The state Self Help Groups department has chalked out several schemes to rope in educated unemployed youth up to the panchayat level to make them self-reliant.

The State Self Help Group Minister said it has been decided to set up offices in 37 sub-divisions in nine districts. Officials of the Self Help Group department will function to reach to panchayat level.

Muktidhara is a pet project of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to bring an overall development of the Self Help Groups in the state and the steps taken by the minister of the department would let people from the grassroot level to derive the benefits of the Muktidhara scheme.

The plan of the state Self Help Group department is to set up five to ten Self Help Groups (SHG) in each panchayat. There would be around 10 youth in each of the SHG. The State Government will be providing all sorts of help and support to the SHGs.

With the youth forming SHGs they would also become eligible to get loans at a minimum rate of interest which would help them increase the volume of their business.

The department would also help them in selling their produce directly to exporters without intervention of any middlemen. It would help them to get right price for their produce.

 

শিক্ষিত বেকারদের স্বনির্ভর করতে উদ্যোগ রাজ্য সরকারের  

রাজ্য স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী বিষয়ক দপ্তর কয়েকটি প্রকল্প গ্রহণ করেছে যার দ্বারা পঞ্চায়েতের অন্তর্গত সকল শিক্ষিত ও বেকার যুবক-যুবতীদের স্বনির্ভর করে তোলা যায়। এই দপ্তরের মন্ত্রী বলেন নয়টি জেলার ৩৭ টি জায়গায় তারা দপ্তর তৈরী করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। দপ্তরের আধিকারিকরা পঞ্চায়েতে গিয়ে কাজ করবেন।

মুক্তিধারা প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী বিষয়ক দপ্তর ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্যের সকল স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর উন্নয়নের কাজে লিপ্ত।

দপ্তরের পরিকল্পনা আছে প্রতিটি পঞ্চায়েতে পাঁচ থেকে দশটি স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী গড়ে তোলার। আনুমানিক দশজন করে যুবক যুবতীরা প্রতিটি গোষ্ঠীতে থাকবেন। সরকার এইসকল গোষ্ঠীদের সর্বতভাবে সাহায্য করবে।

এই স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর সদস্য হওয়ার ফলে শিক্ষিত বেকার যুবক যুবতীরা একদম স্বল্প সুদে ঋণ পেতে পারবে ও তারা তাদের নিজেদের ব্যবসায় সেই টাকা নিযুক্ত করে তাদের ব্যবসা বাড়াতে পারবে।

স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী দপ্তর তাদের সাহায্য করবে যাতে তারা নিজেরা নিজেদের পণ্য উৎপাদন করে সরাসরি রপ্তানীকারীদের হাতে তুলে দিতে পারবে। এর ফলে তারা তাদের পণ্যের উপযুক্ত মূল্য পাবে।

The state government is all set to introduce Muktidhara, a project to make rural unemployed youth self-reliant. The pilot project has earned remarkable success.

Subrata Mukherjee, minister for Panchayat and Rural Development said the project would bring perceptible change in rural Bengal.

Under the scheme every gram panchayat will have five groups each having 10 members. They will get bank loan at the rate of 2% while the state government will provide another 9 per cent. The scheme will provide support to the Self Help Groups by creating infrastructure.

The department will support those intending to do pisciculture, pig farming and poultry by providing training and raw material. The emphasis is on employment generation in the rural areas by providing more financial assistance to the youth.

 

গ্রামীণ বেকার যুবকদের স্বনির্ভর করতে ‘মুক্তিধারা’ প্রকল্প

গ্রামীণ বেকার যুবকদের স্বনির্ভর করতে রাজ্য সরকার একটি নতুন প্রকল্প ‘মুক্তিধারা’ চালু করেছে। এই পাইলট প্রকল্পটি অনেক সাফল্য পেয়েছে।

পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী সুব্রত মুখার্জি জানান, এই প্রকল্প গ্রাম বাংলায় অভাবনীয় পরিবর্তন আনবে।

এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় প্রতিটি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতে পাঁচটি করে গ্রুপ থাকবে এবং প্রত্যেকটিতে ১০ জন করে সদস্য থাকবে। তারা ২% সুদে ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে ঋণ পাবেন এবং বাকি ৯% সুদ রাজ্য সরকার দেবে। এই প্রকল্প স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীকে পরিকাঠামো তৈরি করতে সহযোগিতা করবে।

যারা মাছ চাষ, শূকর চাষ, পোলট্রি ইত্যাদিতে ইচ্ছুক তাদেরকে প্রশিক্ষণ ও কাঁচামাল দিয়ে সাহায্য করবে দপ্তর। গ্রামাঞ্চলের তরুণদের কর্মসংস্থানের জন্য তাদের আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদানের ওপর জোর দেওয়া হয়েছে।

West Bengal Government has launched a new project “Muktidhara” for the overall development of the self-help groups on the initiative of Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee. The project will be launched officially in Nadia district today at Krishnanagar by the State Consumer Affairs Minister Sadhan Pandey.

The Muktidhara project has been initiated to bring permanency in earning a livelihood, drive away poverty and financial improvement through Self Help Groups and Self-employment schemes.

The scheme aims to empower the financially backward classes, especially women and increase the family earnings, thus developing the means of livelihood. The project started off in the districts of Purulia and Paschim Medinipur and met with much success.

The self-help groups are being encouraged to produce lac, nuts, vegetables, create apiaries, make plates from sal leaves, produce puffed rice, and take up domestication and rearing of poultry, black Bengal goat, pigs and other dairy animals. Those SHGs registered under the scheme will be given training. In the first step, the SHGs are being given a loan to the tune of Rs 1.25 lakhs.

The project will soon be launched in all the districts of the State.
