After its immense success in New Town and Rajarhat, bike taxis are soon going to hit the streets of Kolkata. A notification in this regard will be issued shortly by the State Transport Department.

It may be recalled that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Transport Department and the private company that will operate the bike taxis during the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in January. Considering the potential, the

Department is confident that once the service starts in the city, more aggregators will show interest in entering into the business of plying bike taxis.

Like in New Town and Rajarhat, all sorts of safety measures will be in place. One would be able to book a bike taxi using a cell phone app as it is now done for booking app-based cabs.

An official of the Transport Department said that gradually bike taxis can be introduced in several other urban areas. They will thus create a new dimension in the public transport sector of the State.

নিউ টাউন ও রাজারহাটে ব্যাপক সাফল্যের পর এবার কলকাতার রাস্তায় নামতে চলেছে বাইক-ট্যাক্সি। শীঘ্রই এই সংক্রান্ত বিজ্ঞপ্তি জারি করবে পরিবহণ দপ্তর। ২০১৮ সালের জানুয়ারি মাসে অনুষ্ঠিত বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনে এই বিষয়ে মৌ স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে পরিবহণ দপ্তর এবং একটি বেসরকারি সংস্থার মধ্যে।

মোবাইল অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে যেমন ট্যাক্সি ডাকা যায়, ঠিক সেভাবেই বাইক ট্যাক্সিও বুকিং করা যাবে। নিউটাউন ও রাজারহাটের মত যাত্রী নিরাপত্তার সমস্ত ব্যবস্থা থাকবে এই বাইক ট্যাক্সিগুলোতে।

রাজারহাটে একটি বেসরকারি সংস্থা রাজ্য পরিবহন দপ্তরের সমস্ত নির্দেশিকা মেনে এই বাইক ট্যাক্সি পরিষেবা চালায়। সেই সংস্থাই সমস্ত বাইক কেনে এবং চালক নিযুক্ত করে।
তবে কলকাতায় এই সংস্থা কলকাতার বাইক মালিকদের সঙ্গে চুক্তি করে তাদের বাইক দিয়েই এই পরিষেবা চালাবে। ঠিক যেভাবে অ্যাপ নির্ভর ট্যাক্সি চলে।

Speciality Restaurants Group (which runs ‘Oh! Calcutta’ and ‘Mainland China’ restaurant chains) owner Anjan Chatterjee signed an MoU with Bengal Government for offering restaurant management and culinary training to youths of the state hailing from the lower strata of society.

The skill development institute will provide training in food, beverage and catering. Mr Chatterjee said most of these trained youths will be hired by his company; others will be provided employment in other restaurants.

The State Government will provide stipend to the students for the first three months and in the next three months, there will be paid internships. After the completion of the course, a group of 20 students out of the batch of 400 would be taken to Switzerland for upscaling.

দেশ তথা বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে যে ভাবে নামী রেস্তোরাঁ ও ফুড চেন গড়ে উঠছে, তাতে আরও কর্মসংস্থানের জন্য তরুণ প্রজন্মকে প্রশিক্ষণ দিতে নতুন উদ্যোগ শুরু করল ‘ওহ ! ক্যালকাটা ’, ‘মেনল্যান্ড চায়না ’র মতো রেস্তোরাঁ চেনের কর্ণধার স্পেশ্যালিটি রেস্টুর্যান্টস গোষ্ঠী৷

সংস্থার প্রতিষ্ঠাতা তথা কর্ণধার অঞ্জন চট্টোপাধ্যায় বেঙ্গল গ্লোবাল বিজনেস সামিটের শেষ দিন জানান, মূলত অষ্টম শ্রেণি উত্তীর্ণ পড়ুয়াদের কথা মাথায় রেখেই এই পরিকল্পনা তাঁদের৷

যারা প্রচুর টাকা দিয়ে হোটেল ম্যানেজমেন্ট বা ক্যাটারিং ম্যানেজমেন্টের কোর্সে ভর্তি হতে পারবেন না, তাদের জন্যই ছ’মাসের ক্র্যাশ কোর্স চালু করছেন তাঁরা৷

বর্তমানে এই গোষ্ঠীর বিভিন্ন রেস্তোরাঁয় সব মিলিয়ে প্রায় সাড়ে পাঁচ হাজার কর্মীর মধ্যে তিন হাজারই বাঙালি৷ অঞ্জন চট্টোপাধ্যায় বলেন, ‘বাঙালি ছেলেমেয়েদের একটু প্রশিক্ষণ দিলেই তাঁরা ভালো ভাবে কাজ করতে পারবেন৷ আমি নিজে এখানকার মানুষ৷ তাই এই রাজ্যের জন্য কিছু করতে চাই৷ সেটা মাথায় রেখেই আমাদের এই পরিকল্পনা৷’

ছ’মাসের ক্র্যাশ কোর্সের মধ্যে হেঁশেল থেকে শুরু করে হাউস কিপিং, ফ্রন্ট ডেস্ক, ফুড অ্যান্ড বেভারেজ ম্যানেজমেন্ট, ক্যাটারিং ম্যানেজমেন্ট -সব কিছুরই প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে৷ দুটি ভাগে হবে এই প্রশিক্ষণ৷ প্রথম তিন মাসে রাজ্য সরকারের তরফ থেকে কিছু টাকা স্টাইপেন্ডও দেওয়া হবে৷ বাকি তিন মাস হাতেকলমে কাজ শেখার সময় সংস্থার তরফ থেকে ভাতা পাবেন আগ্রহী পড়ুয়ারা৷ প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে তাঁদের বেশির ভাগকেই নিজেদের সংস্থাতেই কাজ দেওয়ার চেষ্টা হবে বলে জানান তিনি৷ বাকিদের অন্য রেস্তোরাঁয় কাজের সুযোগ করে দেওয়া হবে৷

আরও ভালো ভাবে কাজ শেখার জন্য বছরে ১৫ -২০ জন পড়ুয়াকে সুইজারল্যান্ডেও নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে৷ সব মিলিয়ে তাঁরা বছরে ন ’শো থেকে বারোশো পড়ুয়াকে প্রশিক্ষণ দেবেন বলে জানান অঞ্জন চট্টোপাধ্যায়৷ মাস দুই -তিনের মধ্যে রাজারহাটে এই প্রশিক্ষণের কাজ শুরু হয়ে যাবে বলে তাঁর দাবি৷

Investment proposals worth nearly Rs 2.2 lakh crore were received at Bengal Global Business Summit, 2018, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced. The figures are expected to go up, she commented.

The CM also mentioned that based on the proposals received, 20 lakh jobs will be created in sectors like Manufacturing, IT, Cement, Services, Tourism, Infrastructure, Skill Development, Health & Education. She also said that Bengal was facing legacy issues but accountability, transparency and dedication were the credentials of her government.

The next edition of the summit will be held on 7-8 February, 2019.

Highlights of the Chief Minister’s speech:

Thank you so much for joining us on the second day of the summit. I extend warm welcome to all the delegates from all over the world.

It is because of your humble, kind presence that this summit became so hugely successful. Your presence is our inspiration.

We are deeply honoured by the presence of all the foreign delegates. We want to congratulate all of you. More than 4000 delegates from 32 countries participated.

Without a vision, the world cannot survive.

Over 1040 B2B meetings took place in these two days. B2G meetings also took place. 110 MoUs will be signed. This is a great achievement.

We have received investment proposals worth about Rs 2.2 lakh crore. This figure will only go up.

Based on the proposals received, more than twenty lakh employment will be generated in several sectors, including mobile, manufacturing and startups.

Bengal government is a friendly government. We are ready to extend all cooperation.
Industry and agriculture are equally important. We give priority to both.

On 7 February, 2019, we will organise World Business Summit. On 8 February, 2019, we will organise the conclave.

২০ লক্ষ কর্মসংস্থান হবে: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

২০১৮ সালের বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনে প্রায় ২.২ লক্ষ কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগ প্রস্তাব এসেছে। বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনের দ্বিতীয় দিনে একথা ঘোষণা করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এই সংখ্যা আরো বাড়তে পারে বলেn মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

প্রাপ্ত প্রস্তাবের উপর ভিত্তি করে সব মিলিয়ে প্রায় ২০ লক্ষ কর্মসংস্থান হবে। উৎপাদন, আইটি, সিমেন্ট, সেবা, পর্যটন, পরিকাঠামো, দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন, স্বাস্থ্য ও শিক্ষা ক্ষেত্রে কর্মসংস্থান হবে।

আগামী বছর বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন হবে ৭ ও ৮ ই ফেব্রুয়ারি।

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু বিষয়:

আজ বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনের দ্বিতীয় দিন। উপস্থিত সকলকে অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ। সারা বিশ্বের সকল প্রতিনিধিদের আমি স্বাগত জানাই।

আপনাদের উপস্থিতি এই সম্মলনকে সফল করে তুলেছে। আপনাদের উপস্থিতি আমাদের অনুপ্রেরণা।

৩২ টি দেশের ৪০০০ এরও বেশি প্রতিনিধি এখানে অংশগ্রহণ করেছেন, এটা আমাদের কাছে গর্বের বিষয়। সকলকে আমার অনেক অভিনন্দন।

এই দুই দিনে ১০৪০ এরও বেশি বিটুবি বৈঠক হয়েছে। বেশ কিছু বিটুজি বৈঠকও হয়েছে। ১১০ টি মউ স্বাক্ষরিত হবে। এটি একটি বিশাল পাওনা.

বাংলা হল উত্তর পূর্ব ও আশিয়ান দেশগুলির গেটওয়ে। একথা আমি আগেও বলেছি। বাংলার ভৌগোলিক অবস্থান গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

২ বছরের মধ্যে মেট্রো নেটওয়ার্ক সম্প্রসারণের মাধ্যমে বাংলার যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা উন্নত হবে।

বাংলা সংস্কৃতির পীঠস্থান। শিক্ষার একটি হাব আমাদের রাজ্য।

দক্ষতা বিকাশ, ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্প ক্ষেত্রে, কৃষি, ই-গভর্র্ন্যান্স ও শিল্প গড়ার সুবিধায় ভারতের মধ্যে বাংলা ১ নম্বরে।

৩৪ বছর বাংলায় অপশাসন চালিয়েছে বাম সরকার। বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতা, স্বচ্ছতা এবং দায়িত্বশীলতা – আমাদের মন্ত্র।

আমাদের ল্যান্ড ব্যাংক, ল্যান্ড পলিসি রয়েছে। এছাড়া আমাদের এক্সপোর্র্ট নীতি, কৃষি নীতি, বাণিজ্য নীতি ও পর্যটন নীতিও রয়েছে।

শিল্পপতিদের সঙ্গে আমাদের সম্পর্ক খুব ভালো। শিল্পপতিরাই আমাদের অ্যাম্বাসেডর।

এবছর প্রায় ২.২ লক্ষ কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগ প্রস্তাব এসেছে। এই সংখ্যা আরো বাড়বে।

প্রাপ্ত প্রস্তাবের উপর ভিত্তি করে, মোবাইল, উত্পাদন এবং স্টার্ট আপ সহ বেশ কয়েকটি সেক্টরে ২০ লাখেরও বেশি কর্মসংস্থান হবে।

বাংলার সরকার বন্ধু সরকার। আমরা সব রকম সহযোগিতা করতে প্রস্তুত।

কৃষি ও শিল্প দুইই সমান গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

আগামী বছর বিশ্ব বঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন হবে ৭ ও ৮ ই ফেব্রুয়ারি। ৭ ই ফেব্রুয়ারি হবে বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য সম্মেলন আর ৮ই ফেব্রুয়ারি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে কনক্লেভ।

To improve the production of the ever-popular hilsa (ilish) in the state, the Bengal Government has decided to take help from marine scientists of Norway and experts specifically on hilsa.

For this, the government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Norwegian government. A delegation from the country has already visited the state.

Already, with the help of marine scientists of Jadavpur University, the government has started cultivation of the fish in five regions, comprising estuarine regions and regions in the Ganga basin.

As a result of these initiatives, not only would hilsa become more affordable, hilsa cultivators would also be able to earn a viable livelihood.

 

রাজ্যে ইলিশ মাছের ফলন বাড়াতে সাহায্য করবে নরওয়ে

বাংলায় ইলিশের উৎপাদন বাড়াতে নরওয়ের বিজ্ঞানী ও ইলিশ বিশেষজ্ঞদের সাহায্য নিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। পাশাপাশি যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমুদ্রবিজ্ঞানীদের সাহায্যে প্রাথমিক ভাবে সাগর মোহনায় এবং গঙ্গা নদীর অববাহিকায় ৫টি এলাকা চিহ্নিত করে, বিশেষ প্রকল্পে হাত দিয়েছে রাজ্য।

এ ব্যাপারে নরওয়ের সঙ্গে রাজ্যের মৌ স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে। তাদের একটি প্রতিনিধিদল ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্যে ঘুরে গেছে, আবার আসবে। যাদবপুর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমুদ্রবিজ্ঞানের গবেষকরাও রাজ্য সরকারের কথায় আগেই একটি রিপোর্ট দিয়েছিলেন।

সেপ্টেম্বরের পূর্ণিমার ৫দিন আগে থেকে অক্টোবরের পূর্ণিমার ৫দিন পর পর্যন্ত নদীতে ইলিশ মাছ ধরা একেবারেই নিষিদ্ধ করা হবে। এজন্য ইলিশ ধরার ওপর নির্ভরশীল মৎস্যজীবী পরিবারকে বিকল্প আয়ের ব্যপারে মৎস্য দপ্তর সহযোগিতা করবে।

মূলত যে পাঁচটি জায়গায় ইলিশ ধরা ওই সময়ে নিষিদ্ধ করা হবে, সেগুলি হল:

১. সুন্দরবনে ঠাকুরানী, মাতলা ও রায়মঙ্গল নদীর অববাহিকায় পাঁচ বর্গ কিলোমিটার
২. ফারাক্কা বাঁধ এলাকা
৩. ফারাক্কা থেকে লালবাগ পর্যন্ত এলাকা
৪. ডায়মন্ড হারবার থেকে নিসচিন্দপুর, গোদাখালি
৫. বলাগড়, হুগলী ঘাট থেকে কাটোয়া।

এই উদ্যোগের ফলে ইলিশ মাছ শুধু যে সুলভ হবে তা নয়, পাশাপাশি বাংলার মৎস্যজীবীদের সুদিনও আসবে।

For skill development of healthcare professionals employed with the Bengal Government, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the State Government’s Institute of Health and Family Welfare and the United Kingdom’s Department of Health’s Health Education England.

According to a communiqué, the initiative to sign the agreement was taken to ‘strengthen the collaborative relationship to support skill development of healthcare professionals in Bengal and the UK’, after ‘recognising the common healthcare challenges the two countries face and as well as the value of learning in a global context’.

The MoU will ensure sharing of expertise on education and training of healthcare professionals, including review, and upgradation, wherever required, of existing educational programmes, and development of new ones.

According to Health Department officials, the agreement will facilitate acquiring of best practices in healthcare education and practices by doctors of Bengal. in fact, it will be beneficial for both as it will be a continuous process of knowledge sharing.

স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীদের দক্ষতা বিকাশের লক্ষ্যে ইউকের সাথে মৌ স্বাক্ষর রাজ্যের

রাজ্য সরকারের স্বাস্থ্য কর্মীদের দক্ষতা বিকাশের জন্য ইউকের সাথে মৌ স্বাক্ষর করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। এই চুক্তিটি হয়েছে রাজ্যের ‘ইন্সটিটিউট অফ হেলথ অ্যান্ড ফ্যামিলি ওয়েলফেয়ার’ এর সাথে  ইউকের স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের ‘স্বাস্থ্যশিক্ষা ইংল্যান্ড’ এর।

বাংলা ও ইউকের সম্পর্ক আরও সুদৃঢ় করতে এবং স্বাস্থ্যক্ষেত্রের সাথে যুক্ত কর্মীদের দক্ষতা বিকাশের জন্যই এই উদ্যোগ। এই দুই দেশে স্বাস্থ্যপরিষেবা প্রদানের ক্ষেত্রে যে প্রতিকূলতা আছে তার মূল্যায়ন করে আন্তর্জাতিক স্তরে দুই দেশের সহযোগিতা আরও বাড়ানোও লক্ষ্য এই চুক্তির।

এই মউয়ের ফলে স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীদের দক্ষতা ও অভিজ্ঞতা আদান প্রদানের সুযোগ বাড়বে। এর ফলে বর্তমান স্বাস্থ্যশিক্ষার পরিকাঠামো যেমন উন্নীত করা যাবে তেমনই ভবিষ্যতে আরও নতুন কর্মসূচী চালু করার সুযোগও পাওয়া যাবে।

With four smart cities coming up in West Bengal, US-based multinationals like HP, Cisco and Otis have shown interest in partnering with the state. The companies are actively looking into technological collaboration with the State Government agencies to get the proposed smart cities rolling.

“Hewlett-Packard has shown interest in health care and telemedicine while Pratt & Whitney in providing elevator services,” Dr Amit Mitra, State Finance and Industry Minister said at the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

US-based Cisco has shown interest in e-learning and e-health solutions. Beverage firms CocaCola and Pepsi have also shown interest of further investment.

Dr Mitra said 25% of the allotted land in each of these theme townships will be kept to develop the “theme while the rest is to be dedicated for other purposes”.

He said in the recent roadshow held in New Delhi to attract investment for these theme townships, Kajaria Cements along with Hiranandanis and the Piramals have shown interest.

Giving an update over the progress of the Rs 2.43 lakh crore investment proposals concluded during the Bengal Business Summit in January this year, Mitra said around Rs.87,000 crore is already in process.

The West Bengal Government, which had organized a road show in New Delhi to attract investment and technological partners for the proposed smart cities, met the multinationals’ representatives on Monday at New Delhi. One of the multinationals has shown interest in the proposed smart city projects in Durgapur and Haldia as they already have a base there. Two officials of the US department of treasury had been to Kolkata to discuss the State’s plans to develop the smart cities. West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) is also working with the representatives of Future Cities Catapult (FCC), a UK-based urban planning agency, to chalk out how the smart cities can be developed. Bengal has signed an MoU with FCC in London during Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee’s recent visit there.

The State is also developing theme-based cities in areas like Baruipur, Kalyani, Asansol, Siliguri, Dumurjola and Shantiniketan. FICCI has shown interest in partnering with the state for the proposed theme city project on 127 acres in Shantiniketan. At Asansol, the industry-themed city is likely to be promoted in association with the CII, while the Baruipur senior citizen-themed city will be promoted in association with the CREDAI, Bengal.

The State Government is also inviting bids for the cities till September 21.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has invited British Prime Minister David Cameron to revisit Kolkata soon, describing the city “a true getaway to the east”.

“My message for the British PM is that he must visit Kolkata again soon and see that it is truly the gateway to the east,” she said in response to a letter from Mr Cameron apologising for not being able to meet her in London due to his tour of South East Asia.

“I am sorry that my travel plans mean I will not be in London to see you in London…I fondly recall our meeting in Kolkata in November 2013, when we discussed the positive UK-West Bengal bilateral cooperation that exists, and the wealth of trade and investment opportunities this offers,” the British PM had written in his letter dated July 24.

Ms Banerjee highlighted that it was a matter of “destiny” that Britain turns to Kolkata and West Bengal, which she described as a “gateway to Asia”.

“Britain started with Kolkata as its business capital (during the Raj) so that is the destination. History repeats itself and it is destiny that British business should expand to Kolkata,” she said.

Asked how the West Bengal capital compares to London, the Trinamool Congress leader said both cities have their own identity but there are a number of similarities.

“As I have been walking around I see a lot of similarities in architecture and road names. They have Queen Victoria’s statue, we have Victoria Memorial. London is an expensive city but Kolkata is not. It is a soft, soothing, cheap city. London is pollution-free and we are fast moving towards a cleaner, greener city,” she said.

Walking has been central theme of the chief minister’s visit to the UK, as she prefers to explore London mostly by foot in her trademark white sari and flip-flops.

Asked if she would revisit the British capital, she said: “I will definitely come back. This has been a very fruitful business meet. The perception of Bengal has changed today. It is set to become the industrial hub of India. The size of investments will become clear over time but 21 MoUs have been signed, which is a very positive sign.”

“Today the world is a united family and we must walk together,” she said.

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee has called on the UK to invest in her state stating that “backlogs and red tape are gone”.

In reference to the progress made by the Trinamool Congress government over the last four years, she said “If there is a vision, there is a mission…(otherwise) there will be no action plan also”.

“If you say London is the (financial) capital of the world, I say Bengal is the human capital of the world,” she said in her address at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) last evening.

Later in the day , Lord Swraj Paul called on Mamata in her hotel. Paul, said he was willing to help Bengal in “whatever way possible”.

The Chief Minister, who walked around London yesterday, covered over 12km in two hours.

A closed-door business meeting at Asia House is scheduled later today.

The West Bengal government has assured British investors that it has taken steps to bring down the labour strikes to zero levels, as it made a strong case for attracting investments.

“We are setting up systems in place. There has been a radical shift since 2010-11, when 7.6 lakh work days were lost [due to labour strikes]. By 2013, the number of working days lost came down to zero. It takes time for mind-sets to change but please come to Bengal and we can assure very clear worker management processes,” West Bengal’s Finance Minister Amit Mitra said.

He was speaking at a gathering of British and Indian business delegates, organised by the UK India Business Council (UKIBC).

The minister also highlighted the state’s “transparent” process of e-services introduced at all levels, including tax collection, tenders and other areas of services.

“The World Bank has cleared funds for Hooghly riverfront regeneration. We do competitive, transparent, e-based bidding and the UK has the expertise so it must connect up on this project,” the minister said.

Energy, education, smart cities projects and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were the other key sectors highlighted by the West Bengal team as offering great potential for partnerships between the state and UK.

Mitra is the part of a 62-member delegation led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to London this week.

“Bengal in London: Come to Bengal, Ride the Growth” is the theme behind the delegation.

“States are the building blocks of India’s growth and Prime Minister Modi has recognised this in providing a larger role to the states. West Bengal, with its dynamic chief minister and able team, is attracting investors like never before. Doing business in Bengal today is easier, simpler and faster,” said Jyotsna Suri, chairperson of the Bharat Group and president of the Federation Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Sumit Mazumder, chairman and managing director of TIL Limited and president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), said, “West Bengal is a state with a GDP higher than the national average of the country. It offers lots of opportunities. I urge you to come and find out for yourself.

Mamata in London – Day 2 itinerary

On the 2nd day of her visit to London, West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee will hold several meeting throughout the day.

From morning to noon, the West Bengal Chief Minister will be present in meetings regarding Transportation for London, regarding opportunities in Energy and Natural Resources and with officials of the Horniman Museum for collaboration on restoration of musical instruments.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister will attend a meeting with the Indian delegates and MOU partners at St. James Court.

In the late afternoon, the West Bengal Chief Minister will visit the Parliament Square to pay floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi statue and then to the Tavistok Square to pay floral tributes at the Rabindranath Tagore statue.

Today, the West Bengal Chief Minister will also have a meeting  Lord Swraj Paul.
