A state-of-the-art Emergency Operation Cell is being set up on the second floor of the Bengal State Secretariat, Nabanna, at the Disaster Management Department.

The cell would work during any emergency situation – be it floods, earthquakes or any other emergency – and would maintain co-ordination with officials in all the districts of the State. All decisions on matters related to disaster management would be taken by this unit.

The cell would be set up within the next six months.

 

নবান্নে অত্যাধুনিক এমারজেন্সি অপারেশন সেল তৈরী করছে রাজ্য সরকার

বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলার জন্য নবান্নে তৈরী হচ্ছে এমারজেন্সি অপারেশন সেল। নবান্নের তিনতলায় বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলা দফতরে তৈরি হচ্ছে অত্যাধুনিক এই সেল।

বন্যা, ভুমিকম্প বা অন্য যে কোন বিপর্যয়ের সময়  কাজ করবে এই এমারজেন্সি সেল। অন্যান্য জেলার কর্মকর্তাদের সঙ্গেও যোগাযোগ রাখবে এই সেল। বিপর্যয় মোকাবিলার জন্য সব সিদ্ধান্ত এই সেলেই নেওয়া হবে।

আগামী ৬ মাসের মধ্যেই এই সেল তৈরী হয়ে যাবে।
