Here are some of the notable achievements of the Tribal Development Department:

  • Scholarships to ST students increased from 15,31,444 during 2007-2011 to 17,75,941 during 2011-2015.
  • Caste certificates issued to STs increased from 1,55,784 during 2007-2011 to 2,99,193 during 2011-2015.
  • Online processing and issuance of caste certificates is now operational in 61 out of 66 sub-divisions. The average number of ST certificates issued per year has gone up to more than 70,000 as compared to only 35,000 prior to 2011.
  • Time taken to process caste certificate reduced from eight weeks to four weeks
  • Shikshashree Scheme for scholarships introduced for ST students of class V to VIII. More than 2.4 lakh ST students have benefitted so far.
  • To promote mobility and reduce drop-outs, the Department has introduced a scheme of providing bicycles to all girl students of class IX-XII in 23 blocks affected by left-wing extremism (LWE). During the last four years, 95,000 bicycles have been distributed.
  • Old-age pension of Rs 1000 per month is being paid to 1.32 lakh ST BPL (below poverty line) beneficiaries above 60 years
  • Several tribal boards formed for the welfare and development of their respective communities: Mayel Lyang Lepcha Development Board, Mangar Development Board, Tamang Development and Cultural Board and Sherpa Cultural Board.
  • The Department has introduced special coaching for Joint Entrance Examination in 16 centres. The Department is also providing engineering/medical books for the first year to all successful candidates.
  • Aspirants among the ST communities for IAS/WBCS examinations are sponsored by the State Government to attend training courses both at Delhi and at ATI.
  • Emphasis has been accorded for creating employment opportunities through skill development in various sectors. In the last three years, job and self-employment opportunities have been extended to more than 5,000 candidates. ‘Ethnic Beauty Care,’ an innovative scheme for training in beauty and personal care, has opened up new options for livelihood as beauticians for more than 1,700 women from the scheduled tribe communities in rural areas.
  • A large numbers of rejected claims for pattas, as a part of Forest Rights Act, 2006, revisited, and an additional 8,317 pattas distributed

These initiatives have significantly benefitted the tribal communities of the State and have created extensive opportunities for them to advance in all spheres of life.

আদিবাসীদের উন্নয়নে নতুন অগ্রগতি

এখানে আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন পর্ষদের কিছু দৃষ্টান্তমূলক পদক্ষেপঃ  

  • ২০০৭-২০১১ সালে ১৫,৩১,৪৪৪ জন ST ছাত্রছাত্রীদের স্কলারশিপ দেওয়া হয়েছিল, ২০১১-২০১৬ সালে এই সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে হয়েছে ১৭,৭৫,৯৪১।
  • ২০০৭-২০১১ সালে ১,৫৫,৭৮৪ জন ST ছাত্রছাত্রীদের কাস্ট সার্টিফিকেট দেওয়া হয়েছিল, ২০১১-২০১৫ সালে এই সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে হয়েছে ২,৯৯,১৯৩ জন।
  • ৬৬টি সাব-ডিভিশনের মধ্যে ৬২টি সাব-ডিভিশনে অন-লাইন আবেদনপত্র গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। ২০০৭-১১ বর্ষের ১১.৩৪ লক্ষ জনের তুলনায় ২০১১-১৫ সময়সীমায় ৪৫ লক্ষ মানুষকে জাতি শংসাপত্র দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • বর্তমানে পেতে ৮ সপ্তাহের বদলে ৪ সপ্তাহের মধ্যেই জাতি শংসাপত্র পাওয়া যায়।
  • পঞ্চম থেকে অষ্টম শ্রেণির SC ও ST ছাত্রছাত্রীদের স্কলারশিপ প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে শিক্ষাশ্রী প্রকল্প চালু করা হয়েছে। এর মাধ্যমে ১৩.৪ লক্ষ SC এবং ২.৪ লক্ষ ST ছাত্রছাত্রী উপকৃত হয়েছে।
  • স্কুলছুটের সংখ্যা কমানোর জন্য একটি নতুন প্রকল্প ‘সবুজ সাথী’ চালু করা হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় ২৩ টি ব্লকের দশম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির সব ছাত্রছাত্রীকে সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে। গত চার বছরে প্রায় ৯৫০০০ সাইকেল প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
  • দারিদ্র্যসীমার নিচে বসবাসকারী ১.৩২ লাখ তপশিলি উপজাতিদের (বিপিএল তালিকাভুক্ত) ৬০ বছর বয়সের পর প্রতি মাসে ১০০০ টাকা করে পেনশন দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • উপজাতি উন্নয়ন বিভাগের অধীনে বেশ কয়েকটি উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ বোর্ড গঠন করা হয়েছে। এগুলি হল মায়েল ল্যাং লেপচা উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ বোর্ড, মঙ্গর উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ বোর্ড, তামাং উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ ও সাংস্কৃতিক বোর্ড এবং শেরপা সাংস্কৃতিক বোর্ড।
  • ১৬টি কেন্দ্রে জয়েন্ট এন্ট্রান্স পরীক্ষার জন্য বিশেষ কোচিং সেন্টার চালু হয়েছে। সফল ছাত্রছাত্রীদের ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এবং মেডিকেলের বই দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
  • আইএএস / ডবলু বি সি এস পরীক্ষার জন্য ST সম্প্রদায়ের আগ্রহী ছাত্রছাত্রীদের দিল্লি ও এ টি আই তে সরকারি প্রশিক্ষণের জন্য পাঠায় রাজ্য সরকার।
  • ৮,৩১৭ টি অতিরিক্ত জমির পাট্টা দেওয়া হয়েছে এবং পূর্বে বাতিল হয়ে যাওয়া বহুসংখ্যক পাট্টার পুনর্বিবেচনা করা হয়েছে।

এইসব উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে সমগ্র অনগ্রসর ও আদিবাসী জনজাতি মানুষরা অনেক উপকৃত হয়েছেন।

Through the Lok Prasar Prokolpo, the Trinamool Congress-led West Bengal Government has revived and thus given a fresh impetus to various local folk arts.

The initiative has been taken up by Mamata Banerjee herself in an effort to restore the lost glory of the State. This effort has not only breathed fresh lives into the arts themselves, but has also made them economically more sustainable for the practitioners.

Under the scheme, folk artistes are enrolled by the government, following which they perform at government programmes for publicising all sorts of development work. Folk artists receive a retainership fee of Rs 1,000 and also opportunities for four performances, with Rs 1,000 to be paid for each. This means that there is provision for a folk artiste to receive at least Rs 5,000 a month.

More than 60,000 enrolled folk artistes have been enrolled, and the process is continuing.

These efforts by the State Government have lifted the art forms from the point of near-extinction to that of widespread popularity. There is a continuous to spread the popularity of these arts all over India and abroad as well.

 

লোকপ্রসার প্রকল্প: বাংলার হৃত গৌরব পুনরুদ্ধারের পথে

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস পরিচালিত সরকারের আমলে বাংলার লোকশিল্পীরা যথার্থ মর্যাদা পেয়েছেন। লোকসংস্কৃতির পুনরুজ্জীবন ও কার্যকরী প্রসারের লক্ষ্যে ‘লোকপ্রসার প্রকল্প’ চালু হয়েছে। এর মাধ্যমে তাদের আর্থিক উপার্জন সুনিশ্চিত হয়েছে।

লোকশিল্পের হারিয়ে যাওয়া গৌরব পুনরুদ্ধারের জন্য মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন। এই প্রচেষ্টা শুধুমাত্র তাদের পুরনো গৌরব ফিরিয়ে এনেছে তা নয় এর মাধ্যমে এইসব শিল্পীদের আর্থ-সামাজিক দিকও উন্নত হয়েছে।

বাংলার বিভিন্ন লোকশিল্পকে পুনরায় উজ্জীবিত করার লক্ষ্যে ‘লোকপ্রসার প্রকল্প’ একটি অনন্য প্রকল্প। এই প্রকল্পের অধীনে লোকশিল্পীরা প্রতি মাসে ১০০০ টাকা করে সান্মানিক পাচ্ছেন। বর্তমানে বিভিন্ন সরকারি অনুষ্ঠানে তাদের কাজে লাগানো হচ্ছে। প্রত্যেককে ৪ টি করে অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ দেওয়া হচ্ছে। প্রতিটি অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য তাদের ১০০০ টাকা করে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। অতএব লোকশিল্পীরা মাসে ৫০০০ টাকা উপার্জন করতে পারবেন।

৬০ হাজারেরও বেশি লোকশিল্পী লোক প্রসার প্রকল্পের আওতায় অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়েছেন এবং বর্তমানে তাদের নথিভুক্তকরনের প্রক্রিয়া এখনও চলছে।

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস পরিচালিত রাজ্য সরকারের এই সহযোগিতায় বিলুপ্তির পথে এগিয়ে যাওয়া এই শিল্প পুনরুজ্জীবিত হয়েছে। সমগ্র ভারত সহ অন্যান্য দেশে এই শিল্পের জনপ্রিয়তা ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার এটি এক অভিনব প্রয়াস।

Taldangra and Raipur in Bankura distirct were the first two stops today for Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee, in her campaign for the Assembly election. She addressed rallies at both the places. Next, she staged a roadshow in the industrial town of Kharagpur, in Paschim Medinipur district.

Yesterday, she had covered parts of Purulia (Para, Raghunathpur), and Bankura too (Ranibandh).

In her speeches, Mamata Banerjee highlighted the progress the region has made in healthcare, agriculture, industry, education, etc. She reiterated the fact that Trinamool Congress is the only party that works for the people. The party believes in communal harmony and secularism.

She also dismissed the CPI(M)-Congress alliance as a poorly conceived mishmash which people would reject.

Till today, she has addressed 25 rallies and staged 10 padayatra as part of her campaign.

 

Salient points of Mamata Banerjee’s speech in Taldangra

Trinamool Congress stands for struggle. We are a young party. We have a strong foundation.

For the progress and development of Bengal, cast your vote in favour of the ‘joraphool’ symbol. We have worked for the overall development of Jangalmahal. We do not consider political colours while working for the progress of the people. We have worked hard for the development of Bengal in the last four years.

25 lakh students in the State have received bicycles under the Sabuj Sathi Scheme; and 15 lakh more will get them soon. 33 lakh girls, who are our assets, have been registered under the Kanyashree Scheme. Kanyashree is not just Bengal’s pride; the entire world has praised the scheme. Beds and medicines have been made free at State Government hospitals in Bengal. We have set up houses for the poor people under the Gitanjali Scheme.

Our folk artistes did not get their due recognition in the past; now they are getting it.

We have conducted 105 CMO-to-BDO meetings in the districts in the last four years.

Bengal has turned around. We are number one in Kanyashree,  100 Days’ Work Scheme and skill development.

We have set up a new university in Bankura. A new agricultural university is coming up too. We are giving rice at Rs 2/kg to 8 crore people.

 

সিপিএম-কংগ্রেসের জোটকে বোল্ড আউট করবে মানুষ: বাঁকুড়ায় মমতা

আজ বাঁকুড়া জেলায় ২টি জায়গায় প্রচার করলেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বাঁকুড়ার তালড্যাংরা ও রায়পুরে জনসভা করেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এরপর পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের খড়গপুরে একটি রোড-শো করার কথা তৃণমূল নেত্রীর।

গতকাল পুরুলিয়ার পারা ও রঘুনাথপুরে এবং বাঁকুড়ার রানিবাঁধে প্রচার করেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী।

স্বাস্থ্য, কৃষি, শিল্প , শিক্ষা সব ক্ষেত্রেই সমগ্র রাজ্যে অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন  হয়েছে এবং এই কর্মসূচীকেই তিনি  তুলে ধরেন তিনি তার বক্তব্যে।  তিনি বলেন তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস একমাত্র দল যারা সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রিতি ও ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতায় বিশ্বাস করে।

সি পি এম-এর সন্ত্রাস

তালড্যাংরা একসময় লাল সন্ত্রাসের আঁতুড়ঘর ছিল। যারা এতদিন তালড্যাংরায় সন্ত্রাস করেছে তারা আজ এখানে এসে ভোট চাইছে, কোন লজ্জা নেই তাদের। বাঁকুড়ায় কোনরকম সন্ত্রাস আমরা বরদাস্ত করব না। আমরা মানুষের সহযোগিতায় সফলভাবে সিপিএম-কে পরাজিত করেছিলাম।

মানুষের দলকে সি পি এম এখন বলছে চোরের দল। ওদের এত সম্পদ কোথা থেকে এল আমরা তদন্ত করব। নির্বাচন ঘোষণার পর আমার ৯ জন তৃণমূল কর্মী নিহত হয়েছেন। আমরা ইঞ্চিতে ইঞ্চিতে জবাব দেব সি পি এম-কে। বাংলার মানুষ সি পি এম-কে বোল্ড-আউট করে দেবে।

সি পি এম আগে বন্দুকের জোরে যেসব গ্রাম দখল করত আজ সেখানে গিয়ে ভোট চাইতে তাদের এতটুকু লজ্জা করে না।

 

সি পি এম-কংগ্রেস জোট

বিজেপি এখন সিপিএম ও কংগ্রেসের দালাল। মানুষ সি পি এম-কংগ্রেসের এই ঘোঁটকে পরাজিত করবে।

কেরালায় কংগ্রেস এবং সি পি এম লড়াই করছে আর বাংলায় তারা গলা জড়াজড়ি করছে, কোনো নীতি নেই ওদের। বর্তমানে একটি মিডিয়া সি পি এম ও কংগ্রেসের পরামর্শদাতা, ওরা নির্লজ্জ।

 

বাঁকুড়ার উন্নয়ন

আমরা জঙ্গলমহলে সবরকম উন্নয়ন করেছি। কোনও রং দেখে আমি উন্নয়ন করি না। বাঁকুড়ায় আমরা একটি নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তৈরি করেছি, এখানে একটি কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ও তৈরি হচ্ছে।

আমরা রাজ্যের ৮ কোটি মানুষকে ২ টাকা দরে চাল দিচ্ছি। বাঁকুড়া জেলায় ১,১০০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে একটি জল সরবরাহ প্রকল্প চালু করেছি আমরা। ৩২,০০০ হেক্টর জমিতে আমরা একটি নতুন জলসেচ প্রকল্প ‘জল তীর্থ’ শুরু করেছি। সবুজ সাথী প্রকল্পে ২৫ লক্ষ ছাত্রছাত্রী সাইকেল পেয়েছে। ৩৩ লক্ষ মেয়ে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের আওতায় এসেছে, তারা আমাদের সম্পদ।

বাংলার সরকারি হাসপাতালগুলিতে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পাওয়া যায়। গীতাঞ্জলি প্রকল্পে আমরা গরীব মানুষদের জন্য বাড়ি তৈরি করে দিয়েছি।

অতীতে আমাদের লোকশিল্পীরা তাদের প্রাপ্য মর্যাদা পেতেন না।

গত ৪ বছরে বাংলার উন্নয়নের জন্য আমরা অনেক পরিশ্রম করেছি। গত ৪ বছরে সব জেলা মিলিয়ে প্রায় ১০৫টি প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেছি।

বাংলা আজ ঘুরে দাঁড়িয়েছে, বাংলা আজ কন্যাশ্রী, ১০০ দিনের কাজ ও স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্টে এক নম্বরে।

বাংলার উন্নয়ন ও প্রগতির জন্য জোড়াফুলে ভোট দিন।

Yesterday Trinamool Youth Congress President and MP, Abhishek Banerjee addressed three workers’ rallies along his campaign trail in the districts of Bankura and Bardhaman for the forthcoming Assembling elections.

He addressed rallies in Ranibandh and Simlapal in Bankura district and in Durgapur in Bardhaman district.

He said that the Trinamool Congress has primary two assets – its leader Mamata Banerjee and the party workers. It was because the people wished to see change after 34 years of Left Front rule that they had voted Trinamool to power. The tide of support witnessed in 2011 was well-rewarded with developmental projects all over the State. Now there is peace and prosperity everywhere.

He requested the people to vote for the Trinamool Congress once again, to bring it back to power. In its 34 years in power, the CPI(M) could not bring about even 10% of the development that the Trinamool has brought about in less than five years.

গতকাল তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বাঁকুড়া ও বর্ধমান জেলায় তিনটি জায়গায় নির্বাচনী প্রচার করেন।

গতকাল তিনি বাঁকুড়ার রানিবাঁধ ও সিমলাপালে এবং বর্ধমানের দুর্গাপুরে জনসভা করেন।

এদিন তিনি বলেন, ‘তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের দুটি সম্পদ। এক মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এবং দুই দলের কর্মীরা। ২০১১ সালে মানুষ ৩৪ বছরের বাম আমলের শাসনের পরিবর্তন চেয়েছিল তাই তৃণমূলকে ভোট দিয়ে ক্ষমতায় এনেছিল। মানুষের দেওয়া সেই সুযোগের সদ্ব্যবহার করে রাজ্যের প্রতিটি কোনায় উন্নয়ন করেছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বর্তমানে সারা রাজ্যে শান্তির বাতাবরন ও উন্নয়নের জোয়ার বইছে’।

তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকে ভোট দিয়ে আবার তাদের ক্ষমতায় আনার জন্য তিনি অনুরোধ করেন মানুষের কাছে। গত পাঁচ বছরে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস যে কাজ করেছে সিপিএম ৩৪ বছর ক্ষমতায় থেকে তার ১০ শতাংশ কাজও করতে পারেনি।

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee addressed rallies in Para and Raghunathpur towns in Purulia today, on the third day of her Jangalmahal campaign for the forthcoming Assembly election.

After that she went to Bankura district, where she addressed another rally in Ranibandh.

Yesterday, she had visited the towns of Jaipur, Kashipur and Manbazar, also in Purulia district, to huge receptions.

In her speeches yesterday, Mamata Banerjee had harped on the peace and tranquillity that has returned to the Jangalmahal region in the course of the Trinamool Congress Government over the last four-and-a-half years. She had also criticised the Congress-CPI(M) alliance, saying, “The Congress and the CPI(M) have become one team today and have sold off their flags to each other.”

She reiterated her party’s commitment to a progressive and people-friendly government, saying “Trinamool is the only party which is for the people and we are willing to sacrifice our lives for the people.”

 

On development

We are providing free healthcare to the people, we are setting up a multi super-speciality hospital in Raghunathpur. We have set up fair-price medicine shops that provide 40-70% discounts on medicines. A Krishak Bazaar and an industrial estate are coming up in Raghunathpur. A thermal power station is coming up in Raghunathpur. Many steel-related industries are also coming up. I want Purulia to surge in industrialisation. I want Bengal to march ahead. By the end of this month every rural household in Purulia will have electricity.

We brought the entire Secretariat to districts to conduct administrative meetings to take Bengal’s development to the people, to the grassroots.

Peace has returned to Purulia. Tourists are coming to Jangalmahal again. Purulia’s Chhau dance won the first prize in Delhi. We sent a team of Chhau dancers even to Paris.

 

On education

ITI and polytechnic colleges are coming up in Raghunathpur. Under the Kanyashree Scheme, 33 lakh girls have been registered. Students of classes 9-12 are getting bicycles under Sabuj Sathi scheme.

The Centre only talks big. They stopped funds for ICDS, SSA and Jangalmahal Development programmes. We have undertaken a project worth Rs 1,200 crore to solve the water crisis in Purulia. We are building check-dams for improving irrigation facilities; we are promoting fish culture and lac cultivation in this district.

We are giving free textbooks and school uniforms to students. We have given the highest number of scholarships in India to minority-community students.

The days of violence and terror are over. There is a surge of development.

 

On Trinamool

Trinamool is the only party that works for the people. Trinamool believes in communal harmony and secularism.

They are insulting Rabindranath, Nazrul, Vivekananda, Ambedkar and Netaji. We will not allow this. There is no question of the people of Bengal supporting the BJP; and people will not accept the alliance of convenience between the Congress and the CPI(M). Congress has joined hands with CPI(M) which killed thousands of Congress workers. We walked out of Congress because we cannot compromise with the CPI(M).
We are giving rice at Rs 2/kg to 8 crore people of the State. We are giving allowances to 60,000 folk artistes. They have got their due recognition.

BJP and Congress have governments in many States but only Bengal has solved the LWE problem.

We have to utilise the minerals available in Purulia district. We will focus on newer industries.

BJP has a government in our neighbouring State but hardly works. And they give lectures in Bengal.

Why did the BJP and the Congress not initiate any investigation against the CPI(M)?

মানুষ এই সুবিধাবাদী জোট মেনে নেবে না: মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ পুরুলিয়া সফরের তৃতীয় দিন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের। আজ পুরুলিয়ায় দুটি জনসভা করার কথা তাঁর। পুরুলিয়া শহরের রঘুনাথপুরের রামচন্দ্রপুরে প্রথম সভাটি করেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী। তাঁর দ্বিতীয় সভাটি পারা এলাকায়।

এরপর তিনি বাঁকুড়া রওনা হবেন এবং বাঁকুড়ার রানিবাঁধে তৃতীয় সভাটি করেন।

গতকাল তিনি পুরুলিয়ার জয়পুর, কাশিপুর এবং মানবাজারে প্রচার করেন।

তিনি তার গতকালের বক্তব্যে বলেন যে গতকাল তার বক্তব্যে তৃণমূল নেত্রী বলেন যে ২০১১ সালের আগে জঙ্গলমহলের মানুষ ভীত ও সন্ত্রস্ত ছিল। এখন সেখানে সর্বত্র শান্তি বিরাজ করছে। তিনি বলেন আজ জঙ্গলমহলে শান্তি ফিরে এসেছে এবং এটা সম্ভব হয়েছে সেখানকার মানুষের আশীর্বাদ ও সহযোগিতায়। এজন্য তিনি জঙ্গলমফল বাসীকে ধন্যবাদ জানান।সিপিএম-কংগ্রেস জোটকে কটাক্ষ করে তিনি বলেন, সিপিএম ও কংগ্রেস নিজেদের আদর্শ-ন্যায়-নীতি বিসর্জন দিয়ে তারা জোট গঠন করেছে।

তৃণমূল নেত্রী বলেন,‘তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস একমাত্র সরকার যারা মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে, যারা সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য জীবন দিতেও প্রস্তুত’।

On Sunday, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee addressed three rallies in Paschim Medinipur district, part of the campaign for the 2016 Assembly elections.

All three places – Garbeta, Salboni and Keshpur – witnessed big turnouts. In Keshpur, once infamous for Left terror, Abhishek Banerjee said that Trinamool respects the people’s opinion and would work on the path shown by them. He said that people would express their opinions through the ballot box, in a democratic manner.

During his speeches, he also said that it was Mamata Banerjee who had brought peace to the Jangalmahal region. He stressed the fact that the Left Front could not do even 10% of the work that the Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee has accomplished during the past four-and-a-half years.

গত রবিবার পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলায় তিনটি জনসভা করেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

গড়বেতা, শালবনি ও কেশপুরে এদিন জনসভা করেন অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। লাল সন্ত্রাসের জন্য একসময় কুখ্যাত কেশপুরে দাঁড়িয়ে তিনি বলেন, তৃণমূল সব সময় সাধারণ মানুষের মতামতকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে সেই পথকেই অনুসরণ করে। তিনি আরও বলেন, মানুষ গণতান্ত্রিক পদ্ধতিতে ভোটবাক্সে তাদের জবাব দেবেন।

এদিন তিনি বলেন, জঙ্গলমহলে যিনি শান্তি ফিরিয়ে এনেছেন তিনি মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। গত সাড়ে ৪ বছরে তৃণমূল যে কাজ করেছে বামফ্রন্ট তাদের ৩৪ বছরের শাসনকালে তার ১০ শতাংশ কাজও করতে পারেনি।

In 2013, Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Government set up a Tribal Development Department with a view to satisfy the needs and aspirations of the tribals and address tribal developmental issues in a focused manner.

As a part of the achievements of the State Government in this regard, the Tribes Advisory Council has been reorganised and has been given a much more meaningful role in various matters that concern the development of tribal communities.

A special social security scheme named Samaj Sathi has been launched by the State Government for the tribal kendu leaf collectors and their families of Paschim Medinipur, Bankura and Purulia districts.

Under the scheme, any tribal kendu leaf collector between the age of 18 and 60 years may apply for registration free of cost. Once registered, the applicant and the applicant’s family would receive several social benefits.

To ensure employment during the lean season, during 2011 to 2014, Rs.13.48 crore was disbursed from the State Plan fund to create 6,29,547 man-days for kendu leaves collectors.

 

আদিবাসী উন্নয়নে নতুন দিশা দেখাল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ

আদিবাসী ভাই-বোনেদের আশা আকাঙ্ক্ষা পূরণের জন্য ও সমস্যার গঠনমূলক সমাধানের জন্য ২০১৩ সালে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় একটি আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন দপ্তর গঠন করেছে।

রাজ্য সরকারের সাফল্যের একটি উদাহরণ হল পজাতি উপদেষ্টা পরিষদের পুনর্গঠন।

সামাজিক সুরক্ষা দেওয়ার জন্য রাজ্য সরকার একটি নতুন প্রকল্প চালু করেছে যার নাম ‘সমাজ সাথী’। পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর, বাঁকুড়া এবং পুরুলিয়া জেলার আদিবাসী কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীরা এই সুবিধা পাবেন।

এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় ১৮-৬০ বছর বয়সী কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীরা বিনামূল্যে রেজিস্ট্রেশন করতে পারবেন। একবার রেজিস্ট্রেশন করার পর আবেদনকারী এবং আবেদনকারীর পুরো পরিবার বিভিন্ন রকম সামাজিক সুরক্ষা পাবে।

কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারীদের জন্য ২০১১-২০১৪ সালের মধ্যে ৬ লক্ষ ২৯ হাজার ৫৪৭ শ্রমদিবস তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee visited the towns of Jaipur, Kashipur and Manbazar in Purulia district today to address campaign rallies for the 2016 Assembly election.

In her speeches, Mamata Banerjee said that before 2011, people in the Jangalmahal region lived in fear. Now there is complete peace and tranquility, for which she thanked the people of the region too, saying that it was because of their cooperation and resilience that peace has returned. She highlighted the Khadya Sathi Scheme under which 8 crore people in West Bengal are getting food grains at Rs 2 per kg.

She also slammed the CPI(M) and Congress for giving up their ideologies to form an alliance.

 

আজ পুরুলিয়ায় তৃণমূল নেত্রীর প্রচারের দ্বিতীয় দিন

গতকালের পর আজ আবার পুরুলিয়া শহরে নির্বাচনী প্রচার করলেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। আজ জয়পুর, কাশিপুর এবং মানবাজারে প্রচার করলেন তৃণমূল নেত্রী।

তার বক্তব্যে তৃণমূল নেত্রী বলেন যে ২০১১ সালের আগে জঙ্গলমহলের মানুষ সবসময় ভীত ও সন্ত্রস্ত থাকত। এখন সেখানে সর্বত্র শান্তি বিরাজ করছে। তিনি বলেন আজ জঙ্গলমহলে শান্তি ফিরে এসেছে এবং এটা সম্ভব হয়েছে সেখানকার মানুষের আশীর্বাদ ও সহযোগিতায়। এজন্য তিনি জঙ্গলমহল বাসীকে ধন্যবাদ জানান। তিনি বলেন, আজ রাজ্যের মানুষ খাদ্য সুরক্ষা কর্মসূচীর আওতায় এসেছে।  পশ্চিমবঙ্গের ৮ কোটি মানুষ আজ ‘খাদ্য সাথী’ প্রকল্পের আওতায় ২ টাকা কেজি দরে খাদ্যশস্য পাচ্ছেন।

নিজেদের নীতি ও আদর্শ ত্যাগ করে জোট বাঁধার জন্য সিপিএম ও কংগ্রেসের কড়া সমালোচনাও করেন তিনি।

Trinamool Youth Congress President Abhishek Banerjee held two campaign rallies in Paschim Medinipur district where he urged all party activists to give a proper reply to the Congress-CPI(M) alliance in such a manner that they may be shown the door for an indefinite period.

The TMYC President and MP held the rallies in Pingla and Gopali (near Kharagpur). He lashed out at the Congress-CPI(M) pact and referred to the dark days of terror marked by incidents like the Sainbari, Netai, Nandigram and other massacres, and the Singur struggle.

The young leader said the Assembly election was the right time to raise a voice against the betrayal of Congress and they should never be forgiven for their act.

He upheld the fact that even after the change of power in the State, the lifestyle of Mamata Banerjee has remained unchanged – simple and modest.

 

বিরোধীদের আগামী ৫০ বছরে খুঁজে পাওয়া যাবে না: অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

গত ২১শে মার্চ পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরে দুটি প্রচারসভা করেন তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেস সভাপতি অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সিপিএম-কংগ্রেসের জোট প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন মানুষ ওদের জবাব দেবে, বিরোধীদের আগামী ৫০ বছরে খুঁজে পাওয়া যাবে না

পিংলা ও খড়গপুরের গোপালিতে ২টি জনসভা করেন অভিষেক। সিপিএম-কংগ্রেসের জোটকে কড়া ভাষায় জোটকে কটাক্ষ করে বলেন, সিপিএম-কংগ্রেস হাত মিলিয়েছে এবং তারা রাজনৈতিক হিংসার অন্ধকার দিনগুলি ফিরিয়ে আনতে চায়।

তিনি কংগ্রেসের উদ্দেশ্যে বলেন যারা ভুল করেন তাদের ক্ষমা করা যায়, কিন্তু যারা বেইমানি করেন তাদের ক্ষমা করা যায় না।

তৃণমূল যুব সভাপতি বলেন, রাজ্যে পরিবর্তন এলেও মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর জীবনযাত্রায় কোন পরিবর্তন আসেনি। তিনি এখনও সহজ-সরল জীবন যাপন করেন।

Mamata Banerjee launched a music video today as a part of Trinamool’s campaign for upcoming Assembly election. The YouTube link of the music video was ‘shared’ by her on her Facebook page.

The video has been directed by Anindya Chatterjee and the song has been written and composed by Anupam Roy.

It has been sung by Anupam Roy, Srikanta Acharya, Somlata, Pratik Chowdhury, Rupankar Bagchi, Lopamudra Mitra and Ujjayini Mukherjee.

On her Facebook page, Mamata Banerjee wrote:
