The Bengal Government has removed the limit to the number of family members who can be covered under the Swasthya Sathi Scheme. Rs 1,363 crore 72 lakh has been allotted to the scheme by the State Government.

The scheme was notified by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in December 2016, and started functioning from January 3, 2017. Till now, 35,13,140 people have been enrolled in the scheme; another 9,61,741 would be enrolled soon.

Besides the person, his/her wife/husband and children, the husband and wife’s parents would also be enrolled in the scheme.

Under the scheme, a premium of upto Rs 1.5 lakh would be paid by the State Government. For critical illnesses, upto Rs 5 lakh would be paid by the State Government. For returning home after being released from hospital, each person would be given Rs 200.

Additionally, the cost of medicines for the first five days would also be paid by the government. The details of patients are kept secure in e-health cards for easy online access.

The number of government hospitals brought under the scheme is 308 and the number of private hospitals is 314.

স্বাস্থ্যসাথি প্রকল্পে পরিজনের সংখ্যার ঊর্ধ্বসীমা থাকছে না

স্বাস্থ্যসাথি প্রকল্পে পরিবারের সদস্য সংখ্যার কোনও ঊর্ধ্বসীমা রাখা হয়নি বলে স্বাস্থ্য প্রতিমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রিমা ভট্টাচার্য জানিয়েছেন।

২০১৬ সালের ডিসেম্বর মাসে এই প্রকল্পের সূচনা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এ বছরের ৩ জানুয়ারি প্রকল্পটি শুরু হয়। এখনও পর্যন্ত ৩৫ লক্ষ ১৩ হাজার ১৪০টি পরিবার এই প্রকল্পে অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়েছে। কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই আরও ৯ লক্ষ ৬১ হাজার ৭৪১টি পরিবার অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে।

বর্তমানে আইসিডিএস কর্মী, আশা কর্মী, সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ার, গ্রিন ভলান্টিয়ার, সিভিল ডিফেন্স, ভিলেজ ভলান্টিয়ার, বিভিন্ন দপ্তরে চুক্তিতে নিযুক্ত দৈনিক মজুরিপ্রাপ্ত কর্মী এবং স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর সদস্যরা এই প্রকল্পেরঅন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়েছে। ভবিষ্যতে পঞ্চায়েত ও শিক্ষার সঙ্গে যুক্ত কর্মীদেরও স্বাস্থ্যসাথি প্রকল্পে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হবে।

এই প্রকল্পে পরিবারের সদস্য সংখ্যার কোনও ঊর্ধ্বসীমা নেই। স্বামী ও স্ত্রী’র উভয়পক্ষের বাবা ও মা’কে পরিবারের সদস্য হিসাবেএই প্রকল্পে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা যাবে। চিকিৎসার জন্য বছরে দেড় লক্ষ টাকা পর্যন্ত বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা বিমা দেওয়া হবে। আর দুরারোগ্য ব্যাধির জন্য দেওয়া হবে পাঁচ লক্ষ টাকা।

৩১৪টি বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল এবং ৩০৮টি সরকারিহাসপাতালকে এই প্রকল্পে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। চিকিৎসার পর বাড়ি যাওয়ার জন্য ২০০ টাকা করে পরিবহণ খরচ দেওয়া হচ্ছে। এমনকী হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়া পাওয়ার পর পাঁচদিনের ওষুধের খরচও দেওয়া হচ্ছে। চিকিৎসা সংক্রান্তসমস্ত তথ্য ই-হেলথ রেকর্ডে রাখা হয়। এই প্রকল্পের জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ১,৩৬৩ কোটি ৭২ লক্ষ টাকা।
