Muslin weavers of Bengal, who were on the brink of extinction, have got a new lease of life, courtesy Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

In the latest significant stride to boost the sale and marketing of this lush cotton fabric, the government is developing a Muslin Tourism Circuit (MTC) at three places in the state. The West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board (WBKVIB) will be organising the tours, with assistance from a private organisation, Society for Kindling Handicrafts and Indigenous Art. In the case of foreign tourists, the Board will also take the assistance of foreign embassies in organising the tours.

The tours will take tourists to the villages of Akalpoush and Sasinara in Bardhaman district and to Berhampore in Mursidabad district to witness the manufacturing of muslin fabric with their own eyes. The village of Baluchar, also in Murshidabad district, which is a hub for silk and baluchari sarees, will also be a part of the circuit. Foreign tourists who would go on tours of Bardhaman and Murshidabad districts will also be taken to these places apart from the conventional tourist destinations.

The project will be formally launched on September 20. According to the chairman of WBKVIB, the MTC will get a big push after Durga Puja ends.

According to a senior official of WBKVIB, another advantage of taking foreigners on the circuit is that, as has been noticed, having a knack for joining hands with weavers in the making of handmade fine fabric, watching the production process on their own will increase their chances of buying the products.

WBKVIB has also created the basic infrastructure of sales outlets, resting rooms, bathroom facilities and restaurants for light tea and snacks at these places for the convenience of both foreign and Indian tourists. The weavers who have lent out their places for setting up these infrastructural facilities will also get a token amount from the Board annually.

From making muslin products available at Biswa Bangla stalls to opening an exclusive outlet named Club Muslin at the Dakshinapan shopping complex to the WBKVIB adopting a scheme for the upliftment of these weavers and taking part in fashion shows, both abroad and here, the Bengal Government has done a lot to revive and popularise this age-old craft.

The Board has also tied up with an NGO that has started selling a wide range of muslin at its outlet at Nazrul Tirtha in New Town, on the outskirts of Kolkata.

 

বাংলার মসলিনকে পর্যটনের অঙ্গ করতে চায় রাজ্য

বাংলার মসলিন কাপড়ের কদর বিশ্বজোড়া। সেই কাপড়কে পর্যটনের অঙ্গ করতে চায় রাজ্য সরকার। এবার তারই উদ্যোগ নিচ্ছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ খাদি ও গ্রামীণ শিল্প পর্ষদ।

একটি বেসরকারি ট্যুর অপারেটর সংস্থার সঙ্গে গাঁটছড়া বাঁধা হয়েছে, সেই সংস্থা দেশ-বিদেশের অতিথিদের নিয়ে যে প্যাকেজ ট্যুর করায়, তারাই এবার বাংলার মসলিনের ঘাঁটিগুলিকে ঘুরিয়ে দেখাবে। যে বস্ত্র দেশ-বিদেশে সুনাম কুড়িয়েছে, তার উৎপত্তিকে ঘিরে পর্যটকদের উৎসাহ আছে। বিশেষত বিদেশি পর্যটকরা এই বিষয়ে বিশেষ আগ্রহ দেখান। তাই সেই কাজটিই এবার পুরোদমে সারতে চায় দপ্তর, জানিয়েছেন খাদি’র কর্তারা।

মসলিন কাপড়কে আরও জনপ্রিয় করতে খাদি পর্ষদ ক্লাব ‘মসলিন’ নামে একটি ব্র্যান্ড তৈরি করেছে, যা যথেষ্ট সুনাম কুড়িয়েছে। সেই পণ্যকে আরও বেশি প্রচারে আনতেই এই প্যাকেজ ট্যুরের ব্যবস্থা করা হচ্ছে।

কোথায় কোথায় এই ট্যুর করানো হবে সেই তালিকায় যেমন বর্ধমানের অকালপৌষ আছে, তেমনই আছে শশীনাড়া, নবদ্বীপ, কৃষ্ণনগরও আছে। মুর্শিদাবাদের বেশ কয়েকটি জায়গাকে এই পর্যটনে তুলে ধরা হবে। নবাবি আমলের ঐতিহ্য ও ঘরানার স্বাদ দেওয়ার পাশাপাশি এখানে জিয়াগঞ্জ সংলগ্ন অঞ্চলকে মসলিনের ঘাঁটি হিসাবে সামনে আনা হবে।মুর্শিদাবাদের আরও একটি জায়গা ‘বালুচর’কে মসলিনের পীঠস্থান হিসাবে সামনে আনা হবে।

পুজোর কেনাকাটাকে সামনে রেখে কয়েক দিন আগেই খাদি পর্ষদের তরফে একটি ফ্যাশন শো’য়ের আয়োজন করা হয় শহরে। পণ্যের ব্র্যান্ডিংয়ের জন্য এটি একটি অভিনব প্রয়াস।

Bengal has crossed the target by almost three times for the number of man-days to be created during the first four months of financial year 2017-18 under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), popularly known as the 100 Days’ Work Scheme. Against a target of 4 crore 97 lakh, the state has achieved 12 crore 5 lakh.

Thus the State Government is well on its way to easily overcome the target for the year and thus once again show to the rest of India how to empower the rural populace of India, who comprise about 70 per cent of the population. Against the 2017-18 target of creation of 23 crore man-days, as set by the Union Ministry of Rural Development, Bengal is on its way to achieve about 28 crore.

This feat, facilitated by the State Government, has once again brought to the fore the pro-people governance policies adopted by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government, ever since it came to power in 2011.

During the last financial year too, that is, 2016-17, Bengal had crossed the target set by the Central Government – 23 crore against 18 crore. Consequently, the current financial year’s target has been set at 23 crore, but which too Bengal is set to cross. For 2016-17, the Centre had to give the state Rs 7,200 crore for paying the people who worked for projects under the 100 Days’ Work Scheme. Being on track to cross this year’s enhanced target too, naturally, Bengal would be spending much more than last year on the scheme.

According to information from the State Panchayat & Rural Development Department, 39 lakh 61 thousand families are linked to MNREGS in the state. Each person gets to work for 31 days on average and earns Rs 180 per day.

 

১০০ দিনের কাজে শ্রমদিবস তৈরিতে বড় সাফল্য রাজ্যের

১০০ দিনের কাজে শ্রমদিবস সৃষ্টিতে চলতি আর্থিক বছরের প্রথম চার মাসে লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছাপিয়ে গেল রাজ্য। এই সময়ে কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রকের দেওয়া লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছিল ৪ কোটি ৯৭ লক্ষ। কিন্তু ৩১ জুলাই পার হওয়ার পর দেখা গেল, রাজ্যে তা হয়েছে ১২ কোটি ৫ লক্ষ। এইভাবে অগ্রগতি বজায় থাকলে চলতি আর্থিক বছরের মূল লক্ষ্যমাত্রা অনায়াসেই ছাপিয়ে যাবে বলে মনে করছেন পঞ্চায়েত দপ্তরের কর্তারা। তাঁদের বক্তব্য, এটা রাজ্য সরকারের কাজের একটি সাফল্য। গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক ২০১৭-১৮ আর্থিক বর্ষের জন্য শ্রমদিবস সৃষ্টির লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ধরেছে ২৩ কোটি। যেভাবে রাজ্যজুড়ে ১০০ দিনের কাজ চলছে, তাতে প্রকৃতপক্ষে শ্রমদিবস সৃষ্টির লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছাপিয়ে দাঁড়াবে কমপক্ষে ২৮ কোটি।

গত আর্থিক বছরেও অর্থাৎ ২০১৬-১৭’য় শ্রমদিবস তৈরির লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছাপিয়ে গিয়েছিল। কেন্দ্রীয় গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক লক্ষ্যমাত্রা কমিয়ে করেছিল ১৮ কোটি। কিন্তু রাজ্যে তা বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় ২৩ কোটি। ফলে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারকে কাজ অনুযায়ী ৭২০০ কোটি টাকা দিতে হয়। চলতি আর্থিক বছরেও কেন্দ্রের বেঁধে দেওয়া লক্ষ্যমাত্রা সেই ২৩ কোটি শ্রমদিবস।

পঞ্চায়েত দপ্তর সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, বর্তমানে ১০০ দিনের কাজে ৩৯ লক্ষ ৬১ হাজার পরিবার যুক্ত রয়েছে। মাথাপিছু মজুরি হল ১৮০ টাকা। কাজের গড় ৩১ দিন। এ পর্যন্ত খরচ হয়েছে এবং কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার দিয়েছে ৪০৫৮ কোটি টাকা। গত বছরের টাকা খরচের পরিমাণকে ছাপিয়ে যাবে বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে।

Bengal government will provide free software to small traders for filing goods and services tax (GST) returns, state Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra said on August 30.

“We are in touch with the NIC (National Informatics Centre) and work is on to develop the software,” Dr Mitra said while addressing a seminar on GST.

Bengal would be one of the few states to provide free GST software under the new tax regime in the country.

Addressing the seminar on phone, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the State was never against GST but opposed the hurried implementation of the new system.She assured that the State would continue to fight for the right of small enterprises.

 

জি এস টি-র জন্য ব্যবসায়ীদের বিনামূল্যে সফটওয়্যার পরিষেবা দেবে রাজ্য

জি এস টি নিতে সমস্যায় পড়েছেন রাজ্যের ব্যবসায়ীরা। সেই সমস্যা কাটাতে একটি সফটওয়্যার তৈরি করছে রাজ্য সরকার। তৈরি হয়ে গেলে ব্যবসায়ীদের বিনামূল্যে পরিষেবা দেওয়া হবে, একথা জানান, অর্থমন্ত্রী অমিত মিত্র।

এই অনুষ্ঠানে টেলিফোনে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী জানান, রাজ্য জিএসটির বিরোধী নয়। কিন্তু যে ভাবে তাড়াহুড়োয় নতুন কর ব্যবস্থা ব্যবসায়ীদের উপর চাপিয়ে দেওয়া হল, তা ঠিক হয়নি। ব্যবসায়ীদের স্বার্থ রক্ষার জন্য রাজ্য সব সময় লড়াই চালিয়ে যাবে।

এদিন শিল্পমন্ত্রী বলেন, পরিকাঠামো ছাড়াই গোটা প্রক্রিয়া চালু করে দিলে কি হয় তা এখন স্পষ্ট বোঝা যাচ্ছে। ব্যবসায়ীদের সমস্যার কথা মাথায় রেখেই জিএসটি সংক্রান্ত হিসেব রাখতে এই সফটওয়্যার আনা হচ্ছে। ন্যাশনাল ইনফরমেতিক্স সেন্টার এই সফটওয়্যার তৈরির কাজ করছে।

The investigation and intelligence wing of Bengal’s police force, CID (Criminal Investigation Department) is soon going to come out with an app, ‘Suraksha Sathi’ to enable people to send information anonymously to the police, which can be of immense help.

It must be mentioned that the police force in Bengal has done a lot in the last few years to form a closer bond with the people, from launching apps for establishing a police-public interface (‘Bondhu’ app by Kolkata Police) to running self-defence programmes for women (‘Suraksha’) to conducting public awareness programmes all through the year.

The Suraksha Sathi app is another effort at reaching out to the public. Through this app, anyone can send information regarding any crime or suspicious activity to the police, and also complaints against any errant cop.

Another useful aspect about this app is that any user can send information to the police if he/she himself/herself is in trouble too.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wants the public to work hand-in-hand with the police everywhere in the state, and become an integral part of law-keeping. The Suraksha Sathi app is a major step up towards achieving that aim. After all, a little caution on the part of everyone would be a big step towards upholding the security of the state.

রাজ্যে অপরাধ কমাতে সুরক্ষা সাথী অ্যাপ

রাজ্য পুলিশের গোয়েন্দা শাখা সিআইডি উদ্যোগ নিচ্ছে রাজ্যের অপরাধ কমাতে, শান্তি বজায় রাখতে।

রাজ্যবাসী একটু সতর্ক হলে বাইরের শত্রু ঘরে ঢুকতে পারবে না-এটাই চান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। অনেকের কাছে হয়ত তথ্য-প্রমাণ রয়েছে। কিন্তু তাঁরা এ সব বিষয়ে মুখ খুলতে চান না। বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে সাধারণ মানুষকে পাশে চাইছে প্রশাসন। তার প্রথম পদক্ষেপ হল ‘সুরক্ষা সাথী অ্যাপ’। এই অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে আপনি সব রকম তথ্য সেখানে দিতে পারবেন। আপলোড করতে পারবেন ছবি। আপনার নামধাম কেউ জানতে পারবেন না।

সিআইডি চাইছে রাজ্যের মানুষ পুলিশের সঙ্গে হাতে হাত মিলিয়ে অপরাধ কমাতে সাহায্য করুক। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর উদ্যোগেই সিআইডি আরও সতর্ক এবং এই ধরনের পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে। পুলিশ মানে ভয়ের কিছু নয়, পুলিশ মানুষের সঙ্গে রয়েছে এবং থাকবে।

এই অ্যাপে যুক্ত হলে আরও অনেক সুবিধা পাবেন আপ ব্যবহারকারীরা। নিজে কোনও সমস্যায় পড়লে, তা সহজেই পৌঁছে যাবে সিআইডি-র কাছে। এতে আপনি পুলিশের বন্ধু হতে পারেন। নিজের রাজ্যের জন্য একটু দায়িত্বশীল হলেই নিজের ঘরও নিরাপদ থাকবে।

Bengal Government is organising state-wide programmes to observe ‘Sanskriti Dibas’ on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

The State Youth Services and Sports Department is hosting the programme following the directions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In 1905, Rabindranath Tagore had observed Raksha Bandhan as a mark of unity between Hindus and Muslims when the British decided to divide Bengal.

‘Sanskriti Dibas’ is being observed in 341 Blocks, 117 municipalities, six Municipal Corporations and in all the 144 wards of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC).

It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has time and again spread the message of unity and harmony at various public meetings; she has urged people to uphold the spirit of Bengal which stands for peace, progress and prosperity.

 

রাজ্য জুড়ে রাখী বন্ধন উৎসবকে ‘সংস্কৃতি দিবস’ হিসেবে উদযাপন করছে বাংলা

গত ২১ জুলাই মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ধর্মতলার শহীদমঞ্চে রাখী পূর্ণিমার দিনটিকে সংস্কৃতি দিবস হিসাবে পালনের সিদ্ধান্ত ঘোষণা করেন। সেই মত রাজ্যের সর্বত্র একযোগে আজ এই উৎসব পালিত হবে।

রাজ্য যুব ও ক্রীড়া দপ্তর মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশ মত এই অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করছে। ১৯০৫ সালে বঙ্গভঙ্গের সিদ্ধান্ত নেন ব্রিটিশরা। সেই সিদ্ধান্তের প্রতিবাদে হিন্দু মুসলিম সম্প্রীতি রক্ষার্থে রাখী বন্ধন অনুষ্ঠান পালন করেন কবিগুরু।

৩৪১টি ব্লকে, ১১৭টি মিউনিসিপালিটিতে ও ৬টি কর্পোরেশন ও কলকাতার ১৪৪টি ওয়ার্ডে পালিত হবে সংস্কৃতি দিবস। রাখীবন্ধনের পাশাপাশি সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান, রক্তদানের মতো সামাজিক কর্মসূচিও নেওয়া হচ্ছে।

প্রসঙ্গত, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তাঁর প্রতি জনসভায় সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির বার্তা দেন, তিনি জনগণকে বাংলার চিরাচতির সম্প্রীতির বাতাবরণ অক্ষুণ্ণ রাখতে ও বাংলাকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার আর্জি জানান।

After holding administrative meetings in different districts across the State, the Bengal Government today held its first Cabinet meeting in the Hills region, in Darjeeling.

From now on, every year, four Cabinet meetings would be held outside Kolkata – two in the Hills and two in Jangalmahal

On May 29, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, during a press meet in Nabanna, had said, “Every year, two Cabinet meetings will be held in the Hills and two in different districts of Jangalmahal. Therefore, both the northern and the southern districts will be covered,” she told.

“In Jangalmahal, we will hold the meetings in Birbhum, Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram and Paschim Medinipur districts.”

She met the press after the Cabinet meeting ended.

 

Salient points from the press meet:

  • Today is a historic day – the first Cabinet meeting in the Hills was held today.
  • Every year, two Cabinet meets would be held in the Hills and two in Jangalmahal. The next is in Jangalmahal.
  • A secretariat like the Uttarkanya would be built in the Hills, to be named Tenzing Norgay Bhawan.

  • We want that the people of the Hills to live well.
  • We want that Jangalmahal keeps smiling, the whole of Bengal keeps smiling.
  • Today’s Cabinet meeting was the first of the two meetings to be held in the Hills.
  • No one can stop good work from happening.
  • For 34 years nothing was done for the Hills. We should be given respect for the work we have re-started.
  • Students of the Hills can study whatever they want. Bengali has not been made compulsory.
  • The people of the Hills want that we come back again and again.

 

 

আমরা পাহাড়ের উন্নয়ন চাইঃ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

আজ পাহাড়ে মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সিদ্ধার্থশঙ্কর রায়ের আমলে ১৯৭৪ সালে দার্জিলিঙে রাজ্য মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠক হয়েছিল। ৩৩ বছর পর আবার শৈলশহরে মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠক হল।

গত ২৯ মে নবান্নে সাংবাদিক বৈঠকে পাহাড় ও জঙ্গলমহলে মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠকের কথা ঘোষণা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। তিনি জানান, বছরে ২ টি বৈঠক হবে। এছাড়া জঙ্গল্মহলের বিভিন্ন জেলায় প্রশাসনিক বৈঠকও হবে।

আজ দুপুরে দার্জিলিঙের রাজভবনে হয় এই বৈঠক। বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রীসহ প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিকরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন এই বৈঠকে।

গত ৫ জুন উত্তরেবঙ্গ সফরে যান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। সেদিন মিরিকে একটি জনসভা করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, সেখানে বিভিন্ন সরকারী পরিষেবা তুলে দেন সাধারণ মানুষের হাতে। আগামী ৯ জুন কলকাতা ফেরার কথা মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

 

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু বিষয়ঃ

  • আজ পাহাড়ে প্রথম মন্ত্রীসভার বৈঠক হল। আজকের দিনটি ঐতিহাসিক দিন
  • এখন থেকে বছরে পাহাড়ে ২টি এবং জঙ্গলমহলে ২টি বৈঠক হবে, পরবর্তী বৈঠক হবে জঙ্গলমহলে
  • উত্তরকন্যার মত পাহাড়ে নতুন সচিবালয় তৈরি হবে যার নাম হবে তেনজিং নোরগে ভবন
  • এবার থেকে এখানেই মন্ত্রী সভার বৈঠক হবে
  • দীর্ঘদিন ধরে পাহাড়ের মানুষ অবহেলিত
  • পাহাড়ের মানুষ খুব ভাল, আমরা পাহাড়ের উন্নয়ন চাই
  • মিরিকে পলিটেকনিক কলেজ তৈরী হবে
  • মিরিকে একটি স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট সেন্টার তৈরী হচ্ছে যেখানে, ৩০০০ যুবক যুবতীকে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে
  • চন্দননগরে পুলিশ কমিশনারেট হবে – আজকের বৈঠকে চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত হল
  • সিভিল সার্ভিস পরীক্ষায় পদন্নোতির সময়সীমা কমানো হল। এখন থেকে ৮ বছরেই পদন্নোতি হবে
  • প্রতিযোগিতা হোক উন্নয়নের মধ্যে দিয়ে, কাজের মধ্যে দিয়ে
  • আমরা কোন বিরোধ চাই না, আমরা চাই পাহাড়ের মানুষ ভালো ভাবে থাকুক
  • আমি চাই জঙ্গলমহল ভালো থাকুক, সারা বাংলা ভালো থাকুক

Bengal government has taken an initiative to induct midday meal volunteers, who would ensure that food items sent by the state government to schools for midday meals, reaches the intended beneficiaries.

Partha Chatterjee, the state Education minister, said: “Following the direction of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, a new initiative has been launched to engage midday meal volunteers.” The main task of the volunteers would be to keep a watch and ensure that the food items allocated by the state government reaches the beneficiaries.

Each of the volunteers would be responsible for keeping track of the situation in a certain number of schools in an area. They will also be filing reports to the concerned authority. With volunteers keeping tabs on schools on a daily basis, the children will get the proper food that the government had allocated for them and stringent steps will be taken if the volunteers find that the task has not been properly executed.

The Minister said he has received complaints that rice and eggs sent for midday meals are not reaching the students. The volunteers will be visiting the schools and will make sure that midday meals are served to the students in proper quantity and quality. There have been allegations that the rice sent to schools by the government for midday meals is not being given to the students. Some food items allocated to schools under the scheme also get sold in the market or are replaced with inferior quality products.

The state government had also asked the District Magistrates to visit schools to check whether midday meals are served to students in proper quantity and quality.

 

মিড ডে মিল: কাজকর্ম দেখভালে স্বেচ্ছাসেবক নিয়োগ করবে রাজ্য

গ্রিন পুলিশ বা সিভিক ভলান্টিয়ারদের মতো মিড ডে মিলের কাজকর্ম পরিদর্শন করার জন্য স্বেচ্ছাসেবক নিয়োগ করবে রাজ্য। মঙ্গলবার সংবাদমাধ্যমে একথাই জানিয়েছেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়।

তিনি বলেন, মিড ডে মিল নিয়ে বহু অভিযোগ মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কাছে জমা পড়েছে। বরাদ্দ চাল বা ডিম না দিয়ে অন্য কাজে ব্যবহার করা সহ অভিযোগের ধরন বিভিন্ন রকম বলে পার্থবাবু জানান। ডিআই, এসআইদের মিড ডে মিলের পরিস্থিতি পরিদর্শনের দায়িত্ব দেওয়া রয়েছে।

পাশাপাশি, এই স্বেচ্ছাসেবকরাও এবার থেকে পরিদর্শনের কাজে সাহায্য করবেন। তবে, কীভাবে এঁদের নিয়োগ করা হবে, এ বিষয়ে এখনই কিছু বলেননি শিক্ষামন্ত্রী। প্রসঙ্গত, মিড ডে মিলের কাজকর্ম পরিদর্শন করার জন্য টাস্ক ফোর্স ইতিমধ্যেই রয়েছে। কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও রাজ্যজুড়ে মিড ডে মিল নিয়ে অভিযোগের শেষ নেই।

কিছুদিন আগে রাজ্য সরকার নির্দেশ দিয়েছিল, দিনের দিন মিড ডে মিলের যাবতীয় হিসাব এসএমএসের মাধ্যমে পাঠাতে হবে। প্রধান শিক্ষকরাই শিক্ষাদপ্তরের একটি নির্দিষ্ট নম্বরে তা পাঠাবেন। কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও কারচুপি বন্ধ হয়নি। বেশি ছাত্রছাত্রী দেখিয়ে মিড ডে মিলের বরাদ্দ অর্থ আত্মসাৎ করার অভিযোগ উঠছে বহু জায়গা থেকেই।

As a part of its modernisation process, the state Fire and Emergency department is planning to use drones to detect the sources of fire. Apart from identifying the source of a fire, the drones will also be used to determine if humans are stranded in a building that has caught fire.

Firefighters can expand their ability to assess a fire or rescue operations with the help of drones which will be able to provide a clearer picture of what is happening inside the building. Equipped with cameras, the unmanned devices would not be restricted by the city traffic and will also be able to fly over high rise buildings. Fire fighters often fail to determine the source of a fire in buildings situated in congested areas.

In cases of major fires, drones will help officials to get a glimpse of the scene inside the affected buildings, which will enable them to determine the number of fire tenders needed to douse the flames. In case of a fire in a high-rise building, a drone can easily be used to determine the origin of the flames.

Senior officials of the state Fire and Emergency department will decide what types of drones and camera technology can be used for this purpose. The department is planning to take the help of drones as the process of identifying and extinguishing a fire often gets delayed due to the inability of firefighters to properly assess the situation without the required technology. The fire engines also face difficulties in reaching some spots situated in congested areas. It was learnt that senior officials of the department will soon hold a meeting for the implementation of the new scheme.

 

এবার ড্রোন ব্যবহার করবে রাজ্য দমকল দপ্তর

আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারে বাংলা পথ দেখাবে সারা দেশ কে। রাজ্য দমকল দপ্তর পরিকল্পনা করছে আগুনের উৎস খোঁজার জন্য ড্রোন ব্যাবহার করবে। কোথাও আগুন লাগলে সেখানে কেউ আটকে পড়লে তাদের হদিসও দেবে এই ড্রোন।

ড্রোনের সাহায্যে অগ্নিনির্বাপনের কাজ অনেক সহজ হবে দমকল বাহিনীর। ক্যামেরা যুক্ত স্বয়ংক্রিয় এই যন্ত্র ট্র্যাফিক জ্যামে আটকাবে না, বহুতল বাড়ির ওপর সহজেই পৌঁছে যাবে। খুব ঘিঞ্জি অঞ্চলে অনেক সময় আগুন লাগলে আগুনের উৎস খুঁজতে সাধারণত খুব সমস্যা হয়। এর ফলে তাঁরা বুঝতে পারবেন কটি দমকলের প্রয়োজন। বহুতল বাড়ির ক্ষেত্রেও সুবিধে হবে।

দমকল বিভাগের উচ্চপদস্থ আধিকারিকরা বিচার করবেন কোন ধরনের ড্রোন ও ক্যামেরা প্রযুক্তি ব্যাবহার করলে তাদের কাজে সুবিধা হবে। খুব শীঘ্রই এই নতুন প্রকল্প প্রনয়নের জন্য একটি বৈঠক করা হবে।
