The mahant of Kapil Muni Ashram on Sagar Island has recently praised Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee profusely for the work she has done in the making of adequate arrangements for the people visiting Sagar Mela and for making Sagar Island a popular tourist destination all through the year.

He said she has done so much on her own initiative that there cannot be any more demands.

The Kapil Muni Ashram has been entirely renovated. The road from Kochuberia to Sagar Island is being four-laned. Tourist cottages with all facilities have been built on the island. Many other facilities are also being set up.

During the six-and-a-half years of the Trinamool Congress Government, Sagar Island has seen unprecedented development.

সাগরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কাজে খুশি মহন্ত

আলোয় ভাসছে সৈকত। কপিলমুলি আশ্রম ঘিরে রাজ্য সরকারের সুবিশাল কর্মযজ্ঞ প্রায় শেষ পর্যায়ে। কচুবেড়িয়া থেকে প্রায় তিরিশ কিলোমিটার ফোর লেনের কাজ চলছে। থাকার জন্য তৈরী হয়েছে বহুমুখী অনেক কটেজ। অন্য নানারকম ব্যবস্থা। পুণ্যস্নানে আসা লক্ষ লক্ষ মানুষের জন্যই এসব তৈরী হয়েছে। এই সাগর আমাদের চেনা নয়। সাড়ে ছয় বছরে বাংলার তথা দেশের পবিত্র এই তীর্থক্ষেত্রকে সত্যিই বদলে দিয়েছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

একসময় গঙ্গাসাগর বিখ্যাত ছিল শুধুমাত্র সাগরমেলার জন্য। এখন হয়ে উঠেছে পর্যটনের অন্যতম ঠিকানা। সারা বছরই প্রচুর মানুষ আসেন বেড়াতে। সমুদ্রতটের রূপই বদলে গিয়েছে কপিলমুনির দেশে।

কুম্ভ মেলার মতোই সাগর মেলার বিশালতা। তাই, প্রয়োজনীয় সব পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করতে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। মহন্ত মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন। তিনি বলেন ‘মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় খুব সৎ মানুষ। না চাইতেই উনি সাগরের জন্য যা করছেন, তার পর আর কিছু চাওয়ার নেই।’

The grand Uttar Banga Utsav (North Bengal Festival), organised by the Bengal Government, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today at the Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri.

The festival is a brainchild of the Chief Minister, conceived to promote the rich culture of the region. The North Bengal Development Department is the nodal department for organising the festival.

As a part of the festival, cultural programmes will be arranged for two days in each district of north Bengal.

 

Salient points of her speech

  • Festivals are a celebration of togetherness. Durga Pujo, Kali Pujo, Eid, Christmas, New Year, Nabanna – the list of festivals is endless
  • We will observe Swami Vivekananda’s birthday as Vivek Utsab, Netaji’s birthday as Subhas Utsab
  • Nana bhasha, nana mot, nana poridhan, bibidher majhe dekho milan mohan (we are different but there is unity in diversity)
  • Our Govt will provide all support and cooperation to GTA and development boards for the development of the Hills. Hills will prosper if tourism flourishes
  • A new road project connecting India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan is being built in north Bengal
  • A new road connecting north and south Bengal will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3000 crore
  • We have started a Safari Park near Siliguri. A big tourism project is coming up at Gajoldoba (which I named Bhorer Aalo)
  • Cooch Behar has been declared as a Heritage Town. An airport is coming up at Malda and Balurghat
  • Airport at Cooch Behar has been developed. Flight operations will start soon
  • We have returned land to farmers at Kawakhali
  • We have done away with khajna tax on agricultural land. We have given compensation to farmers affected by floods
  • We have set up an GoM for the welfare of tea garden workers. We have allocated Rs 100 crore and set up a separate directorate for tea gardens
  • From next year, Jatra performances will also be held during Uttar Banga Utsab
  • North Bengal is not neglected anymore. I visit this region frequently. Hills, rivers and forests – the region is blessed by nature
  • We have set up Rajbongshi Academy as well as Kamtapuri Academy. We have given recognition to Nepali, Urdu, Hindi, Gurmukhi

 

আজ উত্তরবঙ্গ উৎসব উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

তিন দিনের সফরে উত্তরবঙ্গে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। আজ শিলিগুড়ির কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা স্টেডিয়ামে বার্ষিক উত্তরবঙ্গ উৎসবের শুভ সূচনা করলেন তিনি।

এই অঞ্চলের সংস্কৃতিকে জনসাধারণ এবং পর্যটকদের কাছে তুলে ধরতে এই উৎসবের সূচনা। পুরোটাই মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর মস্তিষ্কপ্রসূত। উত্তরবঙ্গ উন্নয়ন দপ্তরের তত্ত্বাবধানে হবে এই উৎসব।

উত্তরবঙ্গের প্রতিটি জেলায় দুদিন ব্যাপী সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে।

তাঁর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ 

  • উৎসব মানুষকে একত্রিত করে। দুর্গা পুজো, কালী পুজো, ঈদ, বড় দিন, নিউ ইয়ার, নবান্ন – উৎসবের কোন শেষ নেই।
  • বিবেকানন্দের জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে বিবেক উৎসব ও নেতাজীর জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে সুভাষ উৎসব পালন করা হবে।
  • নানা ভাষা, নানা মত, নানা পরিধান, বিবিধের মাঝে দেখ মিলন মহান।
  • পাহাড়ের উন্নয়নের জন্য জিটিএ এবং বিভিন্ন বোর্ডকে আমাদের সরকার সব রকম সহযোগিতা করবে।
  • বাংলাদেশ, নেপাল, ভুটানের সাথে যোগাযোগের জন্য একটি নতুন রাস্তা তৈরি করা হচ্ছে।
  • দক্ষিণবঙ্গ ও উত্তরবঙ্গকে সংযুক্ত করার জন্য ৩০০০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে আরও একটি রাস্তা তৈরি করা হচ্ছে।
  • শিলিগুড়ির কাছে একটি নতুন সাফারি পার্ক তৈরি করা হয়েছে। গাজোলডোবায় একটি ট্যুরিজম প্রজেক্ট (যার নাম দিয়েছি ভোরের আলো) চালু হচ্ছে, সেখানে ভবিষ্যতে অনেক পর্যটক আসবেন।
  • কোচবিহার একটি হেরিটেজ টাউন। মালদা ও বালুরঘাটে বিমানবন্দর চালু হচ্ছে।
  • কোচবিহারের বিমানবন্দরের উন্নয়ন করা হয়েছে। শীঘ্রই সেখানে বিমান পরিষেবা শুরু হবে।
  • কাওয়াখালিতে কৃষকদের আমরা জমি ফিরিয়ে দিয়েছি।
  • আমরা কৃষিজমির খাজনা মুকুব করে দিয়েছি। বন্যায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত কৃষকদের আমরা ক্ষতিপূরণ দিয়েছি।
  • চা বাগানের কর্মীদের উন্নয়নের জন্য একটি মন্ত্রীগোষ্ঠী গঠন করা হয়েছে। ১০০ কোটি টাকা দেওয়া হয়েছে। একটি টি ডিরেক্টরেট তৈরি করা হয়েছে।
  • আগামী বছর থেকে উত্তরবঙ্গ উৎসবে সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান সহ যাত্রাও দেখানো হবে।
  • উত্তরবঙ্গকে আগে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হত না। এখন আমি প্রায়ই এখানে আসি। উত্তরবঙ্গ এখন সবসময় আমার নজরে আছে। আমি সব সময় এখানকার মানুষের পাশে আছি। এখানে পাহাড়, নদী, জঙ্গল – কি নেই?
  • রাজবংশী আকাদেমি ও কামতাপুরি আকাদেমি গঠন করা হয়েছে। নেপালি, উর্দু, হিন্দি, গুরুমুখী ভাষাকে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া হয়েছে।
  • কাজের গতি কখনো থেমে থাকে না। কাজ চলছে, চলবে।

With the inspiration of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, state-wide Shramik Melas and Social Security Month are being held across the State. The Labour Department is organising these fairs.

Each fair would be held over two days, from 2 pm to 7 pm. Entry to the fairs is free. They will continue for the whole of the month of January. The fairs would held at 67 locations, including Kolkata.

The principal activities at the fairs would relate to the presentation of benefits to beneficiaries of various schemes, enrolment of people in the State Government’s Social Security Yojana, payment of money payable by the West Bengal Labour Welfare Board, advising people regarding the various rules and regulations related to labour laws, adding beneficiaries to the Employment Bank and the Yuvashree Scheme and safety advisories related to working with boilers in factories.

Besides these, every day, there would be various cultural programmes.

 

শ্রমিক মেলা ও সামাজিক সুরক্ষা মাস উদযাপন হচ্ছে রাজ্যজুড়ে

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের ঐকান্তিক আগ্রহ ও অনুপ্রেরণায় রাজ্যের সকল শ্রমিকদের জন্যও সারা মাস ব্যাপী শ্রমিক মেলা ও সামাজিক সুরক্ষা মাস উদযাপন ২০১৮ উদযাপিত হচ্ছে। এই মেলা প্রতি জেলায় পালিত হবে। কোনও কোনও জেলায় একাধিক স্থানে পালিত হবে।

এই অনুষ্ঠানে শ্রমিকদের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় আইনি পরামর্শ প্রদান করা হবে এবং যথাসম্ভব সহায়তাও প্রদান করা হবে। এছাড়াও এবারের মেলায় উপভোক্তাদের সহায়তা প্রদান করা হবে, সামাজিক সুরক্ষা যোজনায় নাম নথিভুক্তিকরণ করা হবে।

শ্রমিক কল্যাণ পর্ষদ প্রদেয় সমস্ত সুযোগ সুবিধা প্রদান করা হবে এই মেলায়, এমপ্লয়মেন্ট ব্যাঙ্কে নথিভুক্তি করা হবে এবং ‘যুবশ্রী’ প্রকল্পে ভাতা প্রদান করা হবে। এ ছাড়া বয়লারের নিরাপত্তা সংক্রান্ত সকল বিষয়ে পরামর্শ প্রদান করা হবে মেলা প্রাঙ্গনে।

প্রতিদিন মেলা চলবে দুপুর ২টো থেকে সন্ধ্যে ৭টা পর্যন্ত, থাকবে প্রতিদিন সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান।

To promote the Bengal Government’s Safe Drive Save Life traffic awareness campaign, a pet project of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Kolkata Police is going to organise a half marathon on January 7 in Kolkata. Kolkata Police will also observe Road Safety Week 2018 from January 7 to 13.

The Safe Drive Save Life Half Marathon, as it will be called, will set the ball rolling for the Road Safety Week. There will be three races as part of the programme on January 7 – a 21 kilometre (km) run, a 10 km run and a 5 km run, the lower age limits for which are 18 years, 15 years and 12 years, respectively.

For the winners, there will be medals and cash prizes. The start timings for the 21 km, 10 km and 5 km races are 6 am, 6.30 am and 7 am, respectively. All the participants in all the categories will get race day and finisher T-shirts. Photographs of the runners will be posted on the Facebook page of the Kolkata Police Traffic Department.

 

পথ নিরাপত্তায় এবার হাফ ম্যারাথন হচ্ছে শহরে

কমেছে পথ দুর্ঘটনা, কমেছে দুর্ঘটনায় মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা। কিন্তু প্রয়োজন আরও সচেতনতার। এই বিষয়টিকে আরও গুরুত্ব দিয়ে প্রচারের উদ্দেশ্যে এবং ‘সেফ ড্রাইভ, সেভ লাইফ’-এর সাফল্যকে মাথায় রেখে এবার ‘হাফ ম্যারাথন’ এর আয়োজন করছে কলকাতা পুলিস।

এই নতুন বছরের পথ নিরাপত্তা সপ্তাহ শুরু হচ্ছে ৭ই জানুয়ারি থেকে। চলবে ১৩ই জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত। তারই শুরুতে আগামী ৭ জানুয়ারি, রবিবার এই ‘হাফ ম্যারাথন’-এর আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। এই ম্যারাথন ২১ কিলোমিটার, ১০ কিলোমিটার এবং ৫ কিলোমিটার, এই তিনটি ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়েছে।

বিজেতাদের জন্য থাকবে মেডেল ও আর্থিক পুরস্কার। ২১ কিঃমিঃ ম্যারাথন শুরু হবে সকাল ৬টায়। ১০ কিঃমিঃ দৌড় শুরু হবে সকাল সাড়ে ৬টায়। ৫ কিঃমিঃ দৌড় শুরু হবে সকাল সাতটায়। প্রত্যেক প্রতিযোগীকে দেওয়া হবে রেসের টিশার্ট। তাদের ছবি পোস্ট করা হবে কলকাতা ট্রাফিক পুলিশের ফেসবুক পেজে।

২০১৬ সালে পথ দুর্ঘটনায় শহরে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা ছিল ৪০৭ জন। চলতি বছরে সেই সংখ্যা কমে দাঁড়িয়েছে ৩১২-তে। অর্থাৎ, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ২০১৬ সালের ৮ই জুলাই যে ‘সেফ ড্রাইভ, সেভ লাইফ’-এর ঘোষণা করেছিলেন, তার সাফল্য মিলতে শুরু করেছে।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated Jangalmahal Utsab at a public meeting in Birbhum. The week-long festival will continue till January 10.

The festival this time will have 42 stalls, and five pavilions for various State Government departments to showcase their achievements. At the Karigari Hub, around 100 to 150 artisans will be exhibiting their products.

480 cultural groups in 24 blocks of Jangalmahal will be given dhamsa madol during the festival. Cultural performances will also be held.

Highlights of Chief Minister’s speech:

Benefits have been distributed to about 30,000 people today from this stage. 90% people in Bengal have received some form of direct benefit.

We have flagged off 40 Nischay Jaans today to ferry pregnant women and infants to hospitals.

New university, four ITIs have started operating in Birbhum. Three new polytechnics have been set up, and three new ITIs and one new polytechnic college will be set up.

We have waived off khajna tax on agricultural land. This is a great step for the welfare of farmers.

Several areas were affected by floods. We are giving compensation worth Rs 1200 crore to 3 lakh farmers.

Biswa Bangla Haat has come up at Santiniketan. A Biswa Bangla University will be set up in Bolpur.

A new coal mine is coming up at Deucha Pachami. This will create new employment opportunities.

A new road connecting north and south Bengal will come up at a cost of Rs 3000 crore.

We will inaugurate a new bridge over Ajay river tomorrow. It will reduce journey time by 30 minutes.

Industrial estates, IT parks and an industrial growth centre have been set up in Birbhum.

We have set up Tarapith Development Board. We are focussing on the development of Bakreshwar, Patharchapuri, Kankalitala.

45 lakh girls have received Kanyashree scholarship. They are the pride of the world. We have extended the scheme to universities also.

57 lakh SC/ST students received Sikshashree scholarship. Over 1 crore students received minority scholarships. 70 lakh cycles have been distributed.

We will distribute ‘Banglar Bari’ to 5 lakh families on January 29.

Centre takes away Rs 40,000 crore to pay off the instalments for debt incurred by the Left. Still we are working for the people.

Centre does not do us any favour by giving us funds. They take away our revenues and then give fractions of it.

The Central Government does not work for the poor, Dalits, Adivasis, backward classes, women or youth.

They are planning to bring FRDI Bill which will allow banks to take away your savings. They are hiking fuel prices, reducing interest rates.

They (ruling party at Centre) only deliver speeches. They cannot counter us politically so they are indulging in canards.

We have always protested against anti-people policies. We have been vocal against linking Aadhaar with bank account or mobile.

 

শুরু হল জঙ্গলমহল উৎসব, বীরভূমের জন্য একগুচ্ছ প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

আজ ঝাড়গ্রামে বার্ষিক জঙ্গলমহল উৎসবের উদ্বোধন করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী। সপ্তাহব্যাপী এই উৎসব চলবে আগামী ১০ই জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত। কুমুদকুমারি ইন্সটিটিউশানের মাঠে এই উৎসবের আয়োজন করছে পশ্চিমাঞ্চল উন্নয়ন বিষয়ক দপ্তর।

এবার এই মেলায় ৪২টি স্টল থাকবে। বিভিন্ন সরকারি দপ্তর তাদের সাফল্য তুলে ধরবেন নানা স্টলে। থাকবে হস্তশিল্পের সম্ভারও। প্রতিদিন এই উৎসবে সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে, যেখানে স্বনামধন্য শিল্পীদের পাশাপাশি স্থানীয় শিল্পীরাও এই সব অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্যের কিছু অংশঃ

আজকের এই সভা থেকে প্রায় ৩০ হাজার মানুষের কাছে সরকারী পরিষেবা পৌঁছে দেওয়া হল। সমগ্র বাংলায় ৯০ শতাংশ মানুষ এখন সরকারী পরিষেবা পায়।

এই জেলার গর্ভবতী মা ও সদ্যোজাত শিশুদের হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য প্রায় ৪০ টি নিশ্চয় যান দেওয়া হল

বীরভূমে নতুন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, ৪ টি আইটিআই, ৩ টি পলিটেকনিক কলেজ তৈরি করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া আরও ৩টি নতুন আইটিআই ও ১ টি পলিটেকনিক কলেজ তৈরি করা হবে।

আমরা কৃষিজমির খাজনা মুকুব করে দিয়েছি। এটা নিঃসন্দেহে একটা বড় পদক্ষেপ।

বন্যায় অনেক জায়গা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়। ৩ লক্ষ কৃষকদের আমরা প্রায় ১২০০ কোটি টাকা ক্ষতিপূরণ দিচ্ছি।

শান্তিনিকেতনে বিশ্ব বাংলা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় গড়ে উঠছে। পাশাপাশি বোলপুরেও একটি বিশ্ব বাংলা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় গড়ে তোলা হবে।

দেউচা পাচামিতে একটি কয়লা খনি তৈরি হচ্ছে। এর মাধ্যমে অনেক কর্মসংস্থান হবে।

উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ বাংলাকে সংযুক্ত করার জন্য ৩০০০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে একটি নতুন রাস্তা তৈরি করা হচ্ছে ।

আগামীকাল অজয় নদীর ওপর একটি নতুন ব্রিজের উদ্বোধন করা হবে।এর ফলে মানুষের পৌঁছতে ৩০ মিনিট সময় কম লাগবে।

বীরভূমে ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল এস্টেট, আইটি পার্ক, ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল গ্রোথ সেন্টার তৈরি করা হচ্ছে।

আমরা তারাপীঠ উন্নয়ন পর্ষদ তৈরি করেছি। বক্রেশ্বর, পাথরপ্রতিমা, কঙ্কালিতলার উন্নয়নের ওপর নজর দেওয়া হচ্ছে ।

৪৫ লক্ষ মেয়েদের কন্যাশ্রী স্কলারশিপ দেওয়া হয়েছে। ওরা বিশ্বের গর্ব।

৫৭ লক্ষ SC/ST ছাত্রছাত্রীদের স্কলারশিপ দেওয়া হয়েছে। ১ কোটির বেশি সংখ্যালঘু ছাত্রছাত্রীদের স্কলারশিপ দেওয়া হয়েছে। ৭০ লক্ষ সবুজ সাথী সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে।

আগামী ২৯ জানুয়ারি ৫ লক্ষ পরিবারকে ‘বাংলার বাড়ি’ দেওয়া হবে।

বাম সরকারের দেনার জন্য কেন্দ্র আমাদের থেকে ৪০ হাজার কোটি টাকা কেটে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। তাও আমরা মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। আমাদের রাজস্ব থেকে টাকা কেটে নিয়ে যায়। আমাদের যা পাওনা, যা অধিকার তা আমাদের দেওয়া হয় না।

গরীব, দলিত, আদিবাসী, সাঁওতাল, পিছিয়ে পড়া শ্রেণীর মানুষ কজার জন্য কোন কাজ করে না কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার। কাজ নয় কথা বেশি বলে।

FRDI কেলেঙ্কারি – ব্যাঙ্ক থেকে গরীব মানুষের টাকা যখন খুশি তুলে নেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করছে। সমস্ত সুদের হার কমিয়ে দিচ্ছে, জ্বালানীর দাম বাড়িয়ে দিচ্ছে।

ওরা (শাসক দল) শুধু বড় বড় কথা বলে। ওরা আমাদের সঙ্গে রাজনৈতিক ভাবে লড়াই করতে পারে না, তাই কুৎসা অপপ্রচার করে বেড়ায় আর টিভি তে বক্তৃতা দিয়ে বেড়ায়।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Kolkata Christmas Festival today at Allen Park on Park Street. The festival will continue till December 30.

The festival was inaugurated through the lighting of the Christmas tree. It was followed by the Blessing of the Crib by the Most Reverend Thomas D’Souza, Archbishop of Kolkata.

Present with the Chief Minister on stage were prominent members of the Christian community – the Most Reverend Thomas D’Souza, Archbishop of Kolkata, the Right Rev Ashoke Biswas, Bishop of Kolkata and the MLA representing the community in the State Assembly, Michael Shane Calvert.

The inauguration was followed by Christmas carols by two choirs and live music.

বড়দিন উপলক্ষে নতুন সাজে সেজেছে পার্ক স্ট্রিট। আজ অ্যালান পার্কে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের হাত ধরে এই আলোকসজ্জার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন হয়।

একই সঙ্গে ক্রিসমাস ট্রি আলোকিত করে সূচনা হল ক্রিসমাস ফেস্টিভালের। একগুচ্ছ সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানসহ বিভিন্ন খাবারের স্টলও থাকবে এই উৎসবে। উৎসব চলবে ৩০সে ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত। প্রত্যেক সন্ধ্যায় বিভিন্ন ব্যান্ড পারফর্ম করবে।

প্রতিদিন বিভিন্ন বিশিষ্ট ব্যাক্তিত্ব উপস্থিত থাকবেন এই উৎসব প্রাঙ্গনে।

A 50-bedded integrated hospital dedicated to AYUSH (ayurveda, yoga, unani, siddha and homeopathy) medications is going to be set up by the Bengal Government in Paschim Medinipur district.

Ever since coming to power, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been laying emphasis on the building of infrastructure in AYUSH treatment methods. A separate department has been formed, headed by a minister, to accelerate various AYUSH projects.

The Chief Minister had inaugurated a similar facility in Alipurduar a few months ago.

The State Government’s stress on AYUSH stems from two facts: They comprise some of the oldest and traditional forms of treatment across Bengal and AYUSH treatments are cost-effective, hence advantageous to the economically challenged. As a result, the AYUSH system of medication has a significant role in delivering healthcare to the masses.

The government plans to make the hospital, to come up on a few acres, one of the finest AYUSH hospitals in the country. Doctors from both the state and outside the state will be invited to serve patients.

In another major development, the State Government has decided to open separate units of AYUSH in the subsidiary healthcare units in all the districts of the state. AYUSH units have already been set up in the districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Birbhum, Paschim Medinipur, Nadia, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas.

According to a senior official of the AYUSH Department, adequate number of medical officers will be recruited in all the subsidiary health centres and adequate medicines will be made available in all the units so that poor patients can avail them free of cost.

Mamata Banerjee has brought a sea change in the overall health infrastructure of Bengal through various new initiatives and revamping some of the old ones.

পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরে আয়ুষ হাসপাতাল তৈরী করবে রাজ্য সরকার

রাজ্য সরকার পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরে একটি ৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট আয়ুষ (আয়ুর্বেদ, যোগ, উনানি, হোমিওপাথি ও সিদ্ধা) চিকিৎসার হাসপাতাল তৈরী করবে। কয়েকমাস আগেই আলিপুরদুয়ারে একটি আয়ুষ হাসপাতালের উদ্বোধন করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

২০১১ সালে রাজ্যের শাসনভার গ্রহণ করার পর থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আয়ুষ চিকিৎসার পরিকাঠামো তৈরীতে জোর দিয়েছেন। এর জন্য একটি পৃথক দপ্তর তৈরী করা হয়েছে।

আয়ুষ চিকিৎসা খুবই প্রাচীন এক পদ্ধতি এবং এই চিকিৎসা খুব কম খরচে হয়। তাই, আর্থিক ভাবে পিছিয়ে পড়া মানুষদের জন্য এই চিকিৎসা খুব উপযোগী। সেই কারণেই এই চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতির গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম।

এছাড়াও, সরকারি অনুদানপ্রাপ্ত স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রগুলিতে আয়ুষ কেন্দ্র খোলার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার। ইতিমধ্যেই দার্জিলিং, জলপাইগুড়ি, বীরভূম, পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর, নদীয়া, উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনায় আয়ুষ কেন্দ্র তৈরী হয়েছে। এই কেন্দ্রগুলিতে মেডিক্যাল অফিসার নিয়োগ করা হবে এবং যথেষ্ট পরিমাণে ওষুধ মজুত রাখা হবে। গরীব মানুষদের বিনামূল্যে এই ওষুধ দেওয়া হবে।

রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্য ব্যবস্থায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় গত ছবছরে এনেছেন যুগান্তকারী পরিবর্তন। নতুন পরিকাঠামো তৈরী করার পাশাপাশি বর্তমান হাসপাতাল ও স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রগুলির আমূল সংস্কারও করেছেন তিনি।

For large-scale development of Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has conceived a novel three-stage master plan, consisting of a five-year plan, a ten-year plan and a fifteen-year plan.

The details of each stage would be drawn up by a committee headed by the chief secretary, the highest administrative officer of the State Government.

Three stages, that is, five-year, ten-year and fifteen-year plans, have been designated as short term, medium term and long term.

Every department will have to submit detailed plans, including the financial details, for each of the three stages to the chief secretary. The chief secretary would hand them over to the Chief Minister, only after whose approval would their implementations start.

Mamata Banerjee wants to take Bengal through more transformations. She led Trinamool Congress to power in 2011, vowing to bring ‘poriborton’. Bengal is progressing in every sector, be it agriculture, power, roads, drinking water supply, rural development, transport or any other.

Through this three-stage plan, Bengal would see further development, with the aim to become the best in India in every aspect, and be a name to contend with internationally too.

রাজ্যের সামগ্রিক উন্নয়নের জন্য ত্রিস্তরীয় পরিকল্পনা করছে রাজ্য সরকার। পাঁচ বছর, ১০ বছর এবং ১৫ বছরের জন্য উন্নয়নের মেয়াদি পরিকল্পনা তৈরি করছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

সেই পরিকল্পনার রূপরেখা তৈরির জন্য মুখ্যসচিবকে দায়িত্ব দিয়েছেন তিনি। মুখ্যসচিব রাজ্যের অর্থসচিব এবং পরিকল্পনা দপ্তরের আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে তিনটি পরিকল্পনা তৈরি করছেন। রাজ্যকে নতুন করে সাজিয়ে তোলার জন্য সেটাই মাস্টার প্ল্যান মমতার সরকারের।

এই পরিকল্পনাকে তিন ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়েছে। তা হল, শর্ট টার্ম, মিড টার্ম এবং লং টার্ম পরিকল্পনা। মিশন ২০২০ লক্ষ্য নিয়ে রাজ্যকে নতুন করে গড়ে তুলতে চান মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সে কারণেই প্রতিটি দপ্তরকে ওই তিনটি টার্মের জন্য মাস্টার প্ল্যান জমা দিতে বলা হয়েছে। সেই প্ল্যান অনুযায়ী কত টাকা খরচ হবে, তাও উল্লেখ করতে বলা হয়েছে। মুখ্যসচিব সেই প্ল্যান অনুমোদনের পরে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তাতে সিলমোহর লাগাবেন। তার পরেই তা বাস্তবায়িত করার লক্ষ্যে এগোবে সরকার।

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় চান, নতুন বাংলা গড়ে উঠুক। ২০১১ সালের আগে যে পরিবর্তনের স্লোগান তিনি দিয়েছিলেন, সেই স্লোগানকে বাস্তবায়িত করার লক্ষ্যে এগোতে চায় সরকার। ইতিমধ্যে রাজ্যের রাস্তার হাল বদলেছে, তা শহর হোক বা গ্রাম।

পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন সহ স্বল্পমেয়াদি ও দীর্ঘমেয়াদি উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে এই মাস্টার প্ল্যান তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। রাজ্য পরিকল্পনা দপ্তর তার রূপরেখা তৈরির কাজ শুরু করেছে।

The food festival organised by Bengal Government, Ahare Bangla, has begun yesterday. This festival will continue till December 11 at Newtown Fair Grounds (from 12-9 PM).

The festival has already generated a lot of excitement among people. Various restaurants from Kolkata, as well as organisations from districts, have set up stalls here. There are representatives from Japan, China and Russia too.

Cooking contests and cookery shows are being held at the food festival every day. The finale of the cooking competition will be held on December 11. Arrangements have been made for cultural functions too.

There will be a B2B conclave at the food festival on December 11.

 

জমে উঠেছে আহারে বাংলা ২০১৭

বঙ্গীয় খাদ্য উৎসব, যার পোশাকি নাম আহারে বাংলা, শুরু হয়েছে গতকাল। চলবে আগামী সোমবার (১১ই ডিসেম্বর) রোজ বেলা ১২টা থেকে রাট ৯টা অবধি চলবে এই মেলা।

ইতিমধ্যেই জমে উঠেছে খাদ্য উৎসব। কলকাতার নামীদামী রেস্তোরাঁর পাশাপাশি সারা রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন সংগঠন ষ্টল দিয়েছেন এই মেলায়। রয়েছেন জাপান, চীন ও রাশিয়ার প্রতিনিধিরাও।

প্রতিদিন থাকছে রান্নার শো এবং রান্নার প্রতিযোগিতা। এই প্রতিযোগিতার ফাইনাল হবে ১১ তারিখ। প্রতিদিন থাকবে স্বনামধন্য শিল্পীদের দ্বারা সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান। ১১ তারিখ অনুষ্ঠিত হবে একটি বাণিজ্যিক বৈঠক।
