The state Irrigation department is preparing two master plans to give respite to the people of North Bengal from the devastating floods.

While replying to a question in the state Assembly on Thursday, state irrigation minister said: “Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee directed us to prepare the master plan and we have taken steps to develop the same to check floods or flood-like situation in North Bengal. The work for that has already begun.”

One master plan is for Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Darjeeling districts while the other is for Malda, North and South Dinajpur. The Chief Minister mentioned that a consultant is being engaged to conduct a survey and prepare necessary assessment for the master plan for Malda, North and South Dinajpur.

The detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared after the assessment report is ready. The process to engage a consultant for the survey to prepare the master plan for the four other North Bengal districts has also already begun.

Execution of the master plan will ensure strengthening of the existing embankments where necessary, including building proper drainage channels t and other infrastructural enhancements for better irrigation. At the same time, all the 32 sluice gates in north Bengal will be upgraded.

The funding pattern has not been finalised yet, according to the minister: either the State Government will fully fund the master plans or it might approach the World Bank for part of the funding.

 

উত্তরবঙ্গে বন্যা নিয়ন্ত্রণে মাস্টার প্ল্যান রাজ্যের

উত্তরবঙ্গের বন্যা নিয়ন্ত্রণে দুটি বড় মাস্টার প্ল্যান হাতে নিয়েছে রাজ্য। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় দ্রুত পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়নে সেচমন্ত্রীকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।

সেচমন্ত্রী বিধানসভায় বলেন, “১৯টি জেলার ১৪১১টি জায়গা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে। প্রাথমিকভাবে হিসাব, ৪১৩.১০ কোটি টাকার নদীবাঁধের ক্ষতি হয়েছে। মালদহে জল দেরিতে নামায় ক্ষতির পরিমাণ আরও কিছুটা বাড়বে। রাজ্য নিজেই টাকা দিয়ে কাজ শুরু করেছে।”

উত্তরবঙ্গের যে দুই মাস্টার প্ল্যান হাতে নেওয়া হয়েছে, তার মধ্যে একটি কোচবিহার, আলিপুরদুয়ার, দার্জিলিং ও জলপাইগুড়িকে নিয়ে। এই ক্ষেত্রে পরামর্শদাতা নিয়োগ করা হচ্ছে।

অন্যটি দুই দিনাজপুর ও মালদহকে নিয়ে। এক্ষেত্রে কন্সাল্ট্যান্ট বা পরামর্শদাতা সংস্থাকে দিয়ে কাজ করানো শুরু হয়েছে। পুর্নাঙ্গ প্রকল্প রিপোর্ট জমা দিলেই কাজ শুরু হবে।

ফুলহার, টাঙন, আত্রেয়ী-সহ এলাকার সব নদীকে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হচ্ছে। মুখ্যন্ত্রী নিজেই উত্তবঙ্গের বন্যা নিয়ন্ত্রণে স্থায়ী পরিকল্পনা নিতে বলেছেন। এক্ষেত্রে বিশ্ব ব্যাঙ্ক বা এশিয়ান ডেভেলপমেন্ট ব্যাঙ্ক-এর থেকে টাকা নেওয়া হবে।

প্রসঙ্গত, রাজ্য নিজেই কান্দি মাস্টার প্ল্যানের ৭০ শতাংশ কাজ করে ফেলেছে। নিম্ন দামোদরের কাজ হলে বর্ধমান, হুগলী ও হাওড়ার বড় অংশের মানুষ উপকৃত হবেন। কাজ চলছে পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর, পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের কংসাবতী প্রকল্পের।

SARAS Mela begins at Salt Lake

The national-level handicrafts fair, SARAS Mela, began on November 24 at Central Park in Salt Lake, to continue till December 4. The fair is organised by the Bengal Government’s Panchayats and Rural Development Department.

Handicrafts from across India are available here. People in Bengal being cultural-minded, handicrafts fairs in Kolkata are always popular. The fair has already drawn hundreds of people.

This fair will be held in Siliguri too in January.

সল্টলেকে শুরু হল সরস মেলা

প্রতি বছরের মতো এবছরেরও মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের অনুপ্রেরণায় পঞ্চায়েত ও গ্রামোন্নয়ন দপ্তরের উদ্যোগে শুরু হল সরস মেলা। মেলা চলবে আগামী ৪ঠা ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত।

এই মেলাটিতে থাকে হস্তশিল্পের বিপুল সম্ভার। এটি হস্তশিল্পের একমাত্র জাতীয় স্তরের মেলা যা কলকাতায় হয়।

সেন্ট্রাল পার্কে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে এই মেলা। বাংলার বিভিন্ন প্রান্তের হস্তশিল্পের সম্ভার নিয়ে এসেছেন শিল্পীরা।

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday criticised the Centre for the alleged leakage of data of some Aadhaar beneficiaries on more than 200 Central and state government websites and described it as “dangerous” for the individual, society and the country.

Her criticism came on a day when the Unique Identification Authority of India, in response to a report based on a RTI reply stating that 210 government websites had made Aadhaar data public, accepted that the data was displayed on the government websites.

“What is happening in the name of Aadhaar is extremely dangerous for freedom of expression. It is dangerous for the individual, for the society and for the country,” said Ms. Banerjee. She further alleged that because of Aadhaar even personal conversations may get leaked.

“Even the conversations between a mother and daughter or husband and wife may get leaked,” the Chief Minister said. She also raised questions over the logic behind linking phone numbers and bank accounts with Aaadhaar.

“I don’t know why they (the Centre) are doing it. We already have PAN card and voter identity card. There are some people like Muhammad bin Tughlaq who are happy in committing whimsical acts like demonetisation,” said Ms. Banerjee.

 

আধারের তথ্য ফাঁস, সরব হলেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়

সম্প্রতি সরকারি ওয়েবসাইটে আধারের তথ্য ফাঁস হয়ে গিয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে আধার প্রস্ততকারক সংস্থা ইউনিক আইডেন্টিফিকেশন অথরিটি অব ইন্ডিয়া (ইউআইডিএআই)। তারপরই বিষয়টি নিয়ে সরব হলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।

তিনি বলেন, ‘‘আধার অত্যন্ত বিপজ্জনক। আমি নিজে ইউনিক কার্ডের পক্ষপাতি। একটাই কার্ড হোক। ১০টা কার্ড তো আর হয় না। কিন্তু, আধার কার্ডের নাম করে মানুষের তথ্য ওয়েবসাইটে দিয়ে দেওয়া হচ্ছে সেটা বিপজ্জনক।’’

পাশাপাশি তিনি কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের নীতি নিয়েও তাদের একহাত নেন। মমতা বলেন, ‘‘হঠাৎ করে মুদ্রা পরিবর্তন! একটা পাল্টে অন্য মুদ্রা চালু করে দেব। এটা খামখেয়ালিপনা। মহম্মদ বিনতুঘলকের মতো কাজ করা।’’

তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘‘এটা ডেঞ্জারাস ফর দ্য সোসাইটি। ডেনঞ্জারাস ফর দ্যা ইনডিভিজুয়াল। ডেঞ্জারাস ফর দ্য কান্ট্রি।’’

আধার কার্ড মানুষের গোপনীয়তার পরিপন্থী, এই অভিযোগ মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় আগেই তুলেছিলেন।

The Bengal Government is signing memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with various companies to bring in investment in the sector of fish farming.

The idea behind these joint ventures with the State Government is to make Bengal self-sufficient in terms of fish requirement and bring down imports from other states, as well as to increase the export of fish to other states and also countries.

Already, over the last three years, agreements worth Rs 1,285 crore have been signed with 44 companies (with 12 in 2015, 14 in 2016 and 18 in 2017), of which 20 have started operating. The rest would start operating soon.

While some are engaged in producing fish food, others in production of prawns and shrimps, and still others in bhetki. In a separate development, the State Government has selected seven districts for the cultivation of big fishes like rohu, catla and mrigel. The districts are Cooch Behar, Nadia, Malda, Purba and Paschim Bardhaman, Hooghly and Dakshin Dinajpur. Cultivation of certain big fishes has also started in Purba Medinipur.

The government is training over 1,000 fish cultivators in these districts in the latest techniques, and is also providing them hatchlings and fish food for free.

মাছ চাষে লগ্নি টানতে মউ

শিল্পে বিনিয়োগের জন্য দেশ-বিদেশে সফর করছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। রসনাতৃপ্তিতেও লগ্নি টানতে ঝাঁপাচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার। মাছে-ভাতে বাঙালি। সেই মাছের যাতে কোনও ঘাটতি না-হয়, তার জন্য লগ্নি টানতে বিভিন্ন সংস্থার সঙ্গে ‘মউ’ বা সমঝোতাপত্র স্বাক্ষর করছে রাজ্য সরকার।

মাছ চাষের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ৪৪টি কোম্পানির সঙ্গে ইতিমধ্যেই মউ স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে। প্রস্তাবিত লগ্নির পরিমাণ ১২৮৫ কোটি টাকা। ২০টি সংস্থা উৎপাদন শুরু করে দিয়েছে। তাদের লগ্নির পরিমাণ প্রায় ৩৪০ কোটি টাকা। অন্য কোম্পানিগুলির বিনিয়োগের কাজও এগোচ্ছে বলে দাবি মৎস্যমন্ত্রীর।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী চান মাছে স্বনির্ভর হোক বাংলা, বাংলার গ্রামে গ্রামে মাছ চাষ বাড়ুক। সেই দিকে লক্ষ্য রেখে গত তিন বছরে মাছ চাষের উৎপাদন বাড়াতে ৪৪ টি মউ সই করেছে মৎস্য দফতর। তার মধ্যে ২০১৫ সালে ১২টি, ২০১৬ সালে ১৪টি এবং ২০১৭ সালে ১৮টি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করেছে মৎস্য দপ্তর।

কোনও সংস্থা মাছের খাদ্য তৈরি করছে, কেউ চিংড়ি চাষ করছে, কেউ বা করছে ভেটকি চাষ। বড় বড় রুই, কাতলা, মৃগেল মাছ উৎপাদনের জন্য ছ’টি জেলাকে বেছে নেওয়া হয়েছে। সেখানেই বড় মাছের চাষ হবে। এর জন্য এক হাজার মৎস্যজীবীকে মাছ চাষের আধুনিক প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়েছে। সরকার থেকে দেওয়া হচ্ছে মাছের খাবার, মাছের চারা।

কোচবিহার, নদিয়া, মালদহ, বর্ধমান, হুগলি ও দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুরে সাড়ে তিন হাজার জলা আছে। সেখানে বড় রুই-কাতলা-মৃগেল চাষ করা হবে। পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরে বড় মাছ চাষ শুরু হয়েছে, বলেন মৎস্যমন্ত্রী।

West Bengal State Handicrafts Fair 2017, popularly known as Hastashilpa Mela, was inaugurated on November 18. The fair is being held near gate number 1 of Eco Park in New Town.

The fair will continue till December 10, 2017 and will be open for public every day from 1 PM till 8.30 PM. The fair features the best of handicrafts from Bengal. The stalls are being run by the handicraft-makers themselves. Besides selling the craftwork, the fair will also act as a platform for the realization of business opportunities.

The fair is being organised by the Micro and Small Scale Enterprises and Textiles Department.

Bengal has a rich centuries-old culture, whose handicrafts are famed across the country and even internationally. A few years back, under the aegis of the Trinamool Congress-run government, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) collaborated with the State Government to set up Shilpagram, a rural crafts hub. These Shilpagrams have earned a lot of praise from international experts as centres for the marketing, selling and preservation of the rich culture of Bengal.

শুরু হল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য হস্তশিল্প মেলা

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি উদ্যোগ এবং বস্ত্র শিল্প দপ্তরের আয়োজিত রাজ্য হস্তশিল্প মেলার উদ্বোধন হল ১৮ই নভেম্বর। চলবে ১০ই ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত। নিউটাউনে ইকো পার্কের ১ নম্বর গেটের কাছে আয়োজিত হচ্ছে এই মেলা। রোজ বেলা ১টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত চলবে এই মেলা।

বাংলার হস্তশিল্প দেশে, বিদেশে বিখ্যাত। ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকেই রাজ্যের হস্তশিল্পকে বিশ্বের দরবারে তুলে ধরতে উদ্যোগী হয়েছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তৈরী করেছেন বিশ্ব বাংলা ব্র্যান্ড। ইউনেস্কোর সহযোগিতায় গঠিত হয়েছে শিল্পগ্রাম, যা আদতে গ্রামীণ হস্তশিল্পের হাব।

এই হস্তশিল্প মেলায় রাজ্যের সেরা হস্তশিল্পের সম্ভার নিয়ে সমস্ত জেলা থেকে এসেছেন শিল্পীরা।

After all the international honours, now a short film on the Kanyashree Scheme has become a big hit at the 23rd Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF). It was screened on November 13.

The 15-minute film – Kanyashree Samman – projects the struggle of 15 young girls from Howrah against adverse circumstances and financial constraints. It has been directed by Mallika Roychowdhury.

A brainchild of Mamata Banerjee, the Kanyashree Prakalpa, launched in 2013, is a cash transfer scheme aimed at retaining girls in schools and preventing their early marriage. In July 2017, Kanyashree Prakalpa won the first prize at United Nations Public Service Awards in Hague.

 

চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবেও কন্যাশ্রীর জয়জয়কার, ভিড় বিদেশী দর্শকদের

বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের স্বপ্নের কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প সারা পৃথিবীতে প্রশংসিত। রাষ্ট্রসংঘের কাছ থেকে তিনি স্বয়ং ‘পাবলিক সার্ভিস অ্যাওয়ার্ড’ পেয়েছেন।  এই বিষয় নিয়ে যদি কোনও তথ্যচিত্র বানানো হয়, নিঃসন্দেহে সেটি মানুষের মধ্যে আগ্রহের সৃষ্টি করবে।

অমিত ব্যানার্জি এবং মল্লিকা রায় চৌধুরীর পরিচালনায় তাই ‘কন্যাশ্রী সম্মান’ একটি স্বার্থক তথ্যচিত্র হয়ে উঠল, যা দেখানো হল শিশির মঞ্চে। এদের মধ্যে একজন চিত্র সাংবাদিক।

অডিও ভিস্যুয়ালে যাদের টেস্টিমনি নেওয়া হয়েছে, সবাই হাওড়ার বাসিন্দা। গরীব ঘরের কিশোরী কন্যারা যখন একের পর এক বলে যাচ্ছে কীভাবে তাঁরা এই প্রকল্পের সাহায্য পেয়ে উপকৃত হয়েছে, তখন বলতেই হয় এত কন্যা এই বাংলায় কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের ফলে পড়াশোনা করে বড় হয়ে ভালো ফলাফল করবে।

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed the desire of the Bengal Government to acquire the house in London where Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore had lived, and convert it into a museum-cum-memorial to the world-famous poet and writer.

Mamata Banerjee expressed the State Government’s desire during a meeting with the Indian High Commissioner in London.

Tagore had lived at No. 3, Heath Villas in Hampstead Heath, north London, for a few months in 1912 while he translated his collection of poems, Gitanjali, for which he went on to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.

The Chief Minister is in London for a week-long tour of the United Kingdom (UK). She unveiled the Blue Plaque at the house in London where Sister Nivedita lived for some time, which is awarded by British Heritage to places in need of conservation. She is next scheduled to hold a series of meetings in London and then in Scotland with potential investors, with an eye on the Bengal Global Business Summit 2018, to be held next January.

Incidentally, Tagore’s home has already been awarded the Blue Plaque, the inscription on which reads: Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) Indian poet stayed here in 1912.

রবীন্দ্রনাথের লন্ডনের বাড়িকে রবীন্দ্র সংগ্রহশালা করতে চান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী

লন্ডনের রবীন্দ্রস্মৃতিধন্য বাড়ির দায়িত্ব নিতে চায় রাজ্য সরকার। উত্তর লন্ডনের যে বাড়িতে বসে গীতাঞ্জলীর ইংরেজি তর্জমা করা হয়েছিল, সেই বাড়িটিকে রবীন্দ্র স্মারক সংগ্রহশালায় রূপান্তরিত করতে চান মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর বর্তমান ব্রিটেন সফরেই ব্রিটেনে ভারতীয় রাষ্ট্রদূতের সঙ্গে দেখা করে এই ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। হ্যামস্টেট হিথের ৩নং বাড়িটিতে ১৯১২ সালে কয়েক মাস কাটিয়েছিলেন রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর। গীতাঞ্জলীর ১০৩ টি কাব্যের ইংরেজি অনুবাদ করে তা পাঠানো হয়েছিল নোবেল কমিটির কাছে। ১৯১৩ সালে রবীন্দ্রনাথ নোবেল পুরস্কার পান। এরপর ১৯৩১ সাল পর্যন্ত রবীন্দ্রনাথ বেশ কয়েকবার কাটিয়েছেন তাঁর প্রিয় লন্ডন হাউসে। সেই হিসেবে এই বাড়িটির ঐতিহাসিক গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম।

রাজ্য সরকার এই বাড়িটিকে কিনে রবীন্দ্র সংগ্রহশালা করতে চায়। এই সম্পত্তির মূল্য ২.৭ মিলিয়ন পাউন্ড। উল্লেখ্য, বাড়িটি ইতিমধ্যেই ‘ব্লু প্লাক’ মর্যাদা পেয়েছে।

The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) is organising a get-together at Eco Island inside Eco Park today. The get together is being held a day before the final of Under-17 World Cup football which will be played at the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan.

The president of FIFA Gianni Infantino has arrived in the city to attend the final. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her council of ministers along with former players and Olympians are likely to attend the get-together.

To display the richness of Bengal’s cultural heritage, the State Government is organising a 45-minute cultural performance that will include dance performances, classical songs and fusion music by noted artistes.

Incidentally, in order to display Bengal’s heritage, the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan will showcase a giant ‘alpona’ in front of the VIP entrance near Gate No. 5 on the day of the final match. A team of around 200 artistes, mostly students of different art colleges of the State are already on to the job.

 

আজ ফিফার সভায় মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর উপস্থিতিতে বাংলার ধ্রুপদি নৃত্য

আজ ফিফার ২৫০ টি দেশের প্রতিনিধিদের সামনে তুলে ধরা হবে বাংলার সঙ্গীত ও নৃত্যের কলাকৌশল।

আজ এই অনুষ্ঠান হবে ইকো পার্কে এবং রাজ্য সরকারের হয়ে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করবেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সন্ধ্যে ৭ টা থেকে রাত ৯ টা পর্যন্ত চলবে এই অনুষ্ঠান। এর মধ্যে ৪৫ মিনিট বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে বাংলার জন্য।

বাংলার সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্যকে আন্তর্জাতিক প্রতিনিধিদের সামনে তুলে ধরবে বাংলার শিল্পীরা। তুলে ধরা হবে বাংলার ধ্রুপদি সঙ্গীত, নৃত্য ও যন্ত্র সঙ্গীত।

বিশ্বকাপের জন্য আমূল বদলে ফেলা হয় যুবভারতীকে। রাজ্য সরকারের অনুরোধে স্থানীয় অর্গানাইজিং কমিটি এবার সাধের স্টেডিয়ামের ভোলবদলের জন্য ‘আশ্রয়’ নিল আল্পনার। যুবভারতীয় ৫ নম্বর গেটের ভিআইপি এন্ট্রান্স থেকে শুরু হয়েছে এই আল্পনা। ফাইনালের আগে বৃহস্পতিবার ও শুক্রবার ২৫০ জনের টিম এই সৌন্দর্যায়নের কাজে যুক্ত। বিশ্বভারতী, রবীন্দ্রভারতী, গর্ভনমেন্ট আর্ট কলেজ, ইন্ডিয়ান আর্ট কলেজের বাছাই করা ২১০ জন শিল্পী এনে শুরু করা হয়েছে এই আল্পনা অঙ্কণ।

Creating awareness about consumers’ rights is the most effective way to reduce cases of people getting cheated; to make people aware at an early age is the best possible way to go about it.

With this is mind, this year, the State Consumer Affairs Department has opened Consumer Clubs in schools across Bengal. These clubs comprise students and are headed by the headmaster or assistant headmaster of the school.

During the financial year 2017-18, the department is providing assistance to 840 schools across the state, up from 400 during the last fiscal. This fiscal, the amount of financial assistance to each Consumer Club has also been doubled.

These clubs in schools provide another advantage too. The students are encouraged to discuss their activities in their homes, and thus, their parents also become aware about these rights.

The Consumer Affairs Department, during the rule of the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government, has been very active in spreading awareness, running regular campaigns on television and radio as well as outdoors on various aspects of consumer rights. It ran campaigns on huge screens and posters at the popular Durga Puja pandals too.

 

রাজ্যের স্কুলগুলিতে সচেতনতা বাড়াচ্ছে ক্রেতা সুরক্ষা ক্লাব

গ্রাহক প্রতারণা আটকাতে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিই প্রধান অস্ত্র। আর একদম অল্প বয়সেই যদি সচেতন হওয়া যায় তাহলে তো কথাই নেই।

এই চিন্তাকে মাথায় রেখে এই বছর রাজ্য ক্রেতা সুরক্ষা দপ্তর রাজ্যজুড়ে স্কুলে স্কুলে ক্রেতা সুরক্ষা ক্লাব খুলছে। স্কুলের পড়ুয়াদের নিয়ে তৈরী এই ক্লাবগুলির নেতৃত্ব দেবেন ওই স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষক অথবা উপপ্রধান।

২০১৭-১৮ অর্থবর্ষে এই দপ্তর সারা রাজ্যে ৮৪০ টি স্কুলকে প্রশিক্ষণ দিচ্ছে; গত আর্থিক বছরে এই সংখ্যাটি ছিল ৪০০। রাজ্যের তরফে এবছর ক্লাবগুলিকে প্রদত্ত অর্থনৈতিক সহায়তাও দ্বিগুন করা হয়েছে।

এই ক্লাবগুলিতে কচিকাচারা যে সচেতনতা লাভ করবে তা বাড়িতে মা-বাবা এবং আত্মীয়দের সাথেও ভাগ করে নিতে পারবে তারা।

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বাধীন তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সরকার গ্রাহক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির ব্যপারে প্রথম থেকেই খুব তৎপর। প্রতিনিয়ত সচেতনতা অভিযান চালানো হয় রাজ্যের তরফে। টিভি ও রেডিওতে প্রচার, রাস্তায় বড় বড় হোর্ডিং – সবই এই অভিযানের অঙ্গ। দুর্গাপুজো প্যান্ডেলগুলিতেও সচেতনতামূলক প্রচার করা হয়।

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the information technology (IT) infrastructure in Bengal has improved a lot. Thus, the Trinamool Congress Government has also ensured a lot of employment opportunities.

A crucial aspect of IT infrastructure is the creation of IT parks, where companies are clustered together to enable locational, functional and strategic advantages.

In recent times, 12 more IT parks have been added, notching the total up to 16. The 12 new ones are located in Rajarhat, Durgapur (Phase 2), Asansol, Purulia, Barjora, Siliguri (Phase 2), Kharagpur, Kalyani, Howrah, Haldia, Taratala (in Kolkata) and Bolpur.

There is space to house numerous companies in these parks. Many applications have been received by the State Government in this regard, and processing is being done.

The government is also creating a lot of opportunities for startups, through funding and enabling the providing of expertise by people who are experts in their fields.

IT major Infosys has announced recently that it is going to invest Rs 100 crore to set up an office in Rajarhat, which would employ 1,000 people.

Regarding IT, it should be mentioned that Bengal is one of the leaders in India in terms of implementing IT in the functioning of the administration, and the state has been awarded by the Central Government for its superior performance.

Various departments and schemes have mobile apps for customer interaction. All departments and schemes have websites of their own, which are regularly updated.

Many of the schemes are now completely IT-enabled, including the internationally-accredited Kanyashree Scheme, and the functioning of panchayat system is completely IT-enabled, which has been specially recognised by the World Bank.

বাংলার তথ্য প্রযুক্তি পরিকাঠামো এখন উন্নততর

মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের প্রচেষ্টায় রাজ্যের তথ্য প্রযুক্তি পরিকাঠামো এখন উন্নততর। এর ফলে সরকার দিতে পেরেছে অনেক কর্মসংস্থান।এই পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়নের একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য ভাগ হল তথ্য প্রযুক্তি পার্ক তৈরি যেখানে তথ্য প্রযুক্তি সংস্থাগুলি একত্রে এসে একে ওপরের থেকে নানারকম সহায়তা নিতে পারবে।

ইতিমধ্যে ১২টি তথ্য প্রযুক্তি পার্ক সংযুক্ত করা হয়েছে, সব মিলিয়ে সংখ্যাটি দাঁড়ালো ১৬। এই ১২টি পার্ক আছে রাজারহাট, দুর্গাপুর (ফেস – ২), আসানসোল, পুরুলিয়া, বড়জোড়া, শিলিগুড়ি (ফেস – ২), খড়গপুর, কল্যাণী, হাওড়া, হলদিয়া, তারাতলা (কলকাতায়) এবং বোলপুরে।

এই পার্কগুলিতে প্রচুর কোম্পানি আছে। রাজ্য সরকার এখান থেকে প্রচুর অ্যাপলিকেশন পেয়েছে যা এই পার্কগুলিতে তৈরি হয়েছে।এই তথ্য প্রযুক্তি পার্কগুলিতে বুকিং-এর ব্যপারে জানতে হলে নিম্নলিখিত পদ্ধতিতে যোগাযোগ করা যাবে।

প্রশাসনিক কাজে তথ্য প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা দেশের মধ্যে অন্যতম অগ্রণী। এর জন্য কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের পুরস্কারও পেয়েছে রাজ্য।

রাজ্যবাসীর সুবিধার্থে রাজ্য সরকারের অনেক দপ্তরের অনেক পরিষেবাকে পৌঁছে দেওয়া হচ্ছে অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে। প্রতিটি দপ্তরের রয়েছে নিজস্ব ওয়েবসাইট, যা নিয়মিত আপডেট করা হয়।রাজ্যবাসীর অনেক প্রকল্প এখন পুরোপুরি তথ্য প্রযুক্তি নির্ভর, এমনকি বিশ্বজয়ী কন্যাশ্রীও। এখন পঞ্চায়েত পরিচালনাও হয় সম্পূর্ণ তথ্য প্রযুক্তি নির্ভর করে। এই বিষয়টির জন্য বিশ্ব ব্যাঙ্কের বিশেষ স্বীকৃতি পেয়েছে রাজ্য।
