The Indian Plastics Federation (IPF) has decided to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Bengal in the next one year. Towards that end, it is going to set up a Poly Park capable of housing 3,000 manufacturing units. This was announced recently by the president of IPF, and coming just before the 2018 edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), it is welcome news indeed.

Not just that, he said that, seeing the encouragement for the plastics industry in Bengal (as a result of the positive industrial climate brought about by the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government) and the demand for plastic products in general, the organisation will be setting up quite a few Poly Parks in the near future. One is already up and running beside National Highway 6, popularly known as Mumbai Road.

The president of IPF also said that the organisation would be participating in BGBS. Seeing this interest too, IPF has decided to hold the trade fair, Indplas in Kolkata from November 30 to December 3.

 

বিশ্ববঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনের আগে রাজ্যে প্লাস্টিক শিল্পে বিপুল লগ্নি

চতুর্থ বিশ্ববঙ্গ বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনের আগেই বাংলার জন্য সুখবর। আগামী এক বছরের মধ্যেই রাজ্যে প্লাস্টিক শিল্পে এক হাজার কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগ করবে ইন্ডিয়ান প্লাস্টিক ফেডারেশন। তৈরী হতে চলেছে আরও তিন হাজার ইউনিটের গলিপার্ক।

ফেডারেশনের প্রেসিডেন্ট বলেন, রাজ্য প্লাস্টিক শিল্পের ক্ষেত্রে খুব আগ্রহী। সমানে চাহিদা বাড়ছে। আগামীদিনে আরও বেশ কয়েকটি পলিপার্ক তৈরীর সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। আসন্ন বাণিজ্য সম্মেলনেও অংশ নেবেন তারা।

আগামী নভেম্বর মাসে বিশ্বের বাজারে পূর্ব ভারতের প্লাস্টিক শিল্পের চাহিদা বাড়িয়ে তুলতে ইকো পার্কে আয়োজিত হবে অষ্টম আন্তর্জাতিক মানের প্লাস্টিক প্রদর্শনী ‘ইন্ডপ্লাস ১৮’। প্রদর্শনী চলবে ৩০নভেম্বর থেকে ৩ ডিসেম্বর।

এই প্রদর্শনীতে অংশ নেবে তাইওয়ান, চিন, মালয়েসিয়া, থাইল্যান্ড, হংকং, দুবাই থেকে আসা প্রতিনিধিরা। থাকবেন দেশের উদ্যোগপতিরাও।
