State Information Technology and Electronics (IT&E) Minister on Friday launched Bengalathon 2018, inviting software-based solutions from students, technical professionals and common citizens, particularly for the day-to-day problems of common people.

The minister also announced that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will lay the foundation stone for her dream Silicon Valley project in New Town on August 13.

“We are looking for app-based solutions in a number of areas that include financial advisory app for senior citizens and game-based app for sensitisation of common people so that they do not get fleeced by fraudsters who pose as bank representatives, know the bank details and siphon money from accounts. We are also looking for an app to have a toto on call,” said a senior official of the IT&E department.

The details for registration along with other details of Bengalathon has been made available in the website of the state IT department and a Facebook page titled Bengalathon has also been introduced.

“Bengalathon” is a technology based competition to recognise innovative ideas that would culminate into path-breaking viable solutions for any of the industry sectors or citizen services and at the same time, provide a platform for them to showcase the innovative skills/ideas of the state resources at the national and international arena. The best solutions will be awarded.

Talking about the Silicon Valley project, the minister said: “We will put up IT&E infrastructure here in such a way that the entire country will look towards this place for solutions in these areas.”

The IT&E department also organised a day-long knowledge based workshop on ‘Internet of Things’ (IOT) involving the academia and the industry to work out a strategy for the state on how to embrace this modern technology, at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre.

To ensure better execution of projects, the State Government is planning to introduce an integrated online platform for monitoring projects undertaken by its departments.

This was decided at a recent meeting of senior officials of some of the crucial departments of the State Government, including Finance Department, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and Public Works Department. The preliminary tasks for introducing the integrated project monitoring system have already been carried out.

It may be mentioned that, after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came to power in 2011, Bengal has witnessed a lot of developmental work. Moreover, in a bid to ensure that all projects are implemented properly and in a time-bound manner, the Chief Minister visits every district to hold administrative review meetings with concerned officials.

The Trinamool Congress Government has also introduced the Integrated Finance Management System (IFMS) and it has simplified the system of managing all finance-related issues.

Come Poila Boishakh, the people of Bengal will be able to order their favourite fish dishes via a mobile app, thanks to the State Fisheries Development Corporation (SFDC) which started the app in January. Called Smart Fish, this app would allow a user to order live crabs too.

Crabs weighing 150 g to 500 g would be available; the price per kilogram would be Rs 500. For a start, only sea crabs would be available. Varieties of ready-to-cook as well as dressed fish can also be ordered, like rohu, catla, prawns, pabda and several more.

Orders will be taken from 10 am to 5 pm every day on this app. The fish items are delivered to the mentioned addresses within three hours.

বাংলা নতুন বছরে বাঙালিদের পাতে পড়তে চলেছে কাঁকড়া। সেইসঙ্গে অর্ডার দিলেই চলে আসবে রান্না করা মাছের নানারকম পদ। সৌজন্যে রাজ্যের মৎস্য উন্নয়ন নিগম এবং তাদের তৈরি ‘‌স্মার্ট ফিশ’‌ অ্যাপ। তবে কাঁকড়া কিন্তু জ্যান্ত অবস্থায় ডেলিভারি করা হবে। অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে অর্ডার দিলেই পৌঁছে যাবে নির্দিষ্ট ঠিকানায়।

চলতি বছরের ৫ জানুয়ারি থেকে ‌স্মার্ট ফিশ নামে একটি অ্যাপ চালু করেছে রাজ্য মৎস্য উন্নয়ন নিগম। বাজারে চালু যে মাছগুলি আছে যেমন রুই, কাতলা, চিংড়ি, পাবদা–সহ নানারকম মাছ এই অ্যাপটির মাধ্যমে অর্ডার দিলে তা একেবারে ‘‌ড্রেসড’ বা ‘‌রেডি টু কুক’‌‌ অবস্থায় পৌঁছে যাচ্ছে খরিদ্দারদের কাছে। বিষয়টি ইতিমধ্যেই বেশ জনপ্রিয় হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন নিগম কর্তারা। ক্রমবর্ধমান এই চাহিদা দেখেই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয় কাঁকড়া চালু করার। সেইসঙ্গে রান্না করা মাছের নানারকম পদ।

অ্যাপের নাম ‘স্মার্ট ফিশ’‌। অ্যান্ড্রয়েড ফোনে গুগল প্লে থেকে ডাউনলোড করা যাবে এই অ্যাপ। অর্ডার দিলে ৩ ঘণ্টায় মিলবে। অর্ডার দেওয়া যাবে রোজ সকাল ১০টা থেকে বিকেল ৫টা পর্যন্ত। কাঁকড়াগুলির ওজন ১৫০ থেকে ২০০ গ্রাম হবে। দাম কেজি প্রতি প্রায় ৫০০ টাকা। আপাতত শুধুই সামুদ্রিক কাঁকড়া পাওয়া যাবে।

To make payment of property and other municipal taxes easier, the State Government is going to launching a mobile app through which the taxes can be made. This service will be gradually rolled out for all the types of taxes paid by citizens to civic bodies.

Online mode of payment would enable people to pay their taxes from the comfort of their homes or from wherever they want.
Twenty municipalities have been identified for the pilot project. The pilot project has been named ‘Online Module/Portal and Mobile App for Payment and Other Allied Matters of Municipal Property Tax’.

The selected municipalities are: Alipurduar, Bangaon, Bankura, Bansberia, Behrampore, Bolpur, Chakdaha, Chapadani, Egra, English Bazar, Haldia, Jalpaiguri, Kamarhati, Kanchrapara, Katwa, Konnagar, Medinipur, Nalhatri, Pujali and Titagarh.

 

ঘরে বসেই এবার পুরকর জমা দেওয়া যাবে,অ্যাপ আনছে রাজ্য

সম্পত্তি সহ বিভিন্ন ধরনের পুরকর জমা নেওয়ার প্রক্রিয়া সরলীকরণ করতে অ্যাপ আনছে রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্যের ২০টি পুরসভাতে পাইলট প্রজেক্ট হিসাবে এই অ্যাপ ও অনলাইন ওয়েব পোর্টাল চালু করা হচ্ছে। পুরদপ্তর সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, ধীরে ধীরে তা রাজ্যব্যাপী ছড়িয়ে দেওয়া হবে।

এই পোর্টাল ও অ্যাপ মারফত পুরবাসীরা সহজেই নিজেদের ইচ্ছেমতো সময়ে পুরসভার বিভিন্ন ধরনের কর মিটিয়ে দিতে পারবেন।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মানুষকে যেমন অধিকতর পুরপরিষেবা দিতে চাইছেন, তেমনি তাঁদের জন্য বিভিন্ন সুবিধার ব্যবস্থাও করতে চাইছেন। এই অ্যাপ ও পোর্টালের মাধ্যমে মানুষ সেই সুবিধা পাবেন।

নতুন এই পাইলট প্রকল্পের নাম দেওয়া হয়েছে অনলাইন মডিউল/পোর্টাল অ্যান্ড মোবাইল অ্যাপ ফর পেমেন্ট অ্যান্ড আদার অ্যালায়েড ম্যাটার্স অব মিউনিসিপ্যাল প্রপার্টি ট্যাক্স। পুরদপ্তরের নির্দেশিকা অনুসারে ইংলিশবাজার, জলপাইগুড়ি ও আলিপুরদুয়ার পুরসভাকে এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে মুর্শিদাবাদের বহরমপুর পুরসভাও এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় এসেছে। এছাড়া নলহাটি, বোলপুর, কোন্নগর, চাঁপদানি, টিটাগড়, বনগাঁ, কাটোয়া, হলদিয়া, বাঁশবেড়িয়া, বাঁকুড়া, চাকদহ, কাঁচড়াপাড়া, মেদিনীপুর, এগরা, পূজালি, কামারহাটি পুরসভাকেও পাইলট প্রকল্পে রাখা হয়েছে।

সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে অ্যান্ড্রয়েড মোবাইল মানুষের নিত্যসঙ্গী হয়ে উঠেছে। ফলে মোবাইল অ্যাপ মারফত কর দেওয়ার পদ্ধতি চালু করা হলে তার মাধ্যমে যে কোনও জায়গা থেকে যে কোনও সময়ে পুরসভার সম্পত্তি কর মিটিয়ে দেওয়া সহজ হবে। একই কাজ পোর্টাল মারফতও করা সম্ভব।

উল্লেখ্য, রাজ্যের বিদ্যুৎ বণ্টন কোম্পানি এই ধরনের একটি পদ্ধতি ইতিমধ্যেই চালু করে রেখেছে।

The Malda district administration, in collaboration with UNESCO and the Administrative Staff College of India, will launch a mobile phone app to monitor marriages of school girls. The State Education Department is also involved in the project. The Bengal Government has selected Malda as the district for the pilot project, before a statewide launch.

The app will be used to register attendance of girl students in schools. An absence of any girl for five consecutive days will alert the administration as well as the school authorities. According to officials concerned, the app will also serve many other purposes simultaneously.

Every school will be provided with the app, and a teacher of the school will register the attendance of the students through it every day. The absence of a girl will be noticed here, and then steps will be taken to address the situation.

It may be mentioned, the government’s Kanyashree Scheme has been successful in bringing down the social evil of child marriage. This app will help in further bringing down incidents further.

 

বাল্যবিবাহ রুখতে অ্যাপ আনছে রাজ্য সরকার

স্কুলছাত্রীদের বিবাহ রুখতে ইউনেস্কো এবং অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেটিভ স্টাফ কলেজ অফ ইন্ডিয়ার সঙ্গে যৌথ উদ্যোগে একটি অ্যাপ আনছে রাজ্য সরকার। মালদা জেলা প্রশাসন ও স্কুল শিক্ষা দপ্তর যুক্ত এই প্রকল্পে। সারা রাজ্যে এই অ্যাপ্লিকেশন চালু করার আগে মালদা জেলাকে বেছে নেওয়া হয়েছে পাইলট প্রোজেক্ট হিসেবে।

প্রত্যেকটি স্কুলের কর্তৃপক্ষকে এই অ্যাপটি দেওয়া হবে। এই অ্যাপ্লিকেশনটি ব্যবহার করে শিক্ষক/শিক্ষিকারা ছাত্রীদের উপস্থিতি নথিভুক্ত করবেন। কোনও ছাত্রী পরপর পাঁচদিন টানা অনুপস্থিত হলে স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষ এবং প্রশাসনকে তৎক্ষণাৎ জানানো হবে।

প্রসঙ্গত, রাজ্য সরকারের কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের সুবাদে রাজ্যে বাল্যবিবাহের সংখ্যা এমনিতেই এখন অনেক কমেছে। এই অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে এই সামাজিক ব্যাধি আরও কমবে বলেই মনে করা হচ্ছে।

The Bengal Tourism Department has brought out an app on the occasion of Durga Puja, named Sharadotsav. The app is available on Android devices.

The app has four primary sections – ‘Puja in Map’, ‘Nearby Pujas’, ‘Zone-wise Puja’ and ‘Emergency Contacts’.

The ‘Puja in Map’ section has the important well-known Durga Puja pandals marked on a map of Kolkata. The ‘Zone-wise Puja’ section has a list of the famous Durga Puja pandals in Bengal divided into seven groups – North Central Kolkata, Port Area, South Suburban and South West, South and South East, Heritage Puja, Siliguri and Other Puja – along with pictures.

The ‘Emergency Contacts’ section information on blood banks, fire stations, hospitals, the metro rail and police stations.

নতুন অ্যাপ আনছে পর্যটন দপ্তর – থাকছে দুর্গা পুজোর বিভিন্ন তথ্য

পুজোর ভিড়ে মানুষ যাতে হারিয়ে না যায় সেইজন্য এবার একটি নতুন মোবাইল অ্যাপ চালু করছে পর্যটন দপ্তর। শুধু রাজ্যের মানুষ নয়, শারদোৎসব দেখাতে আসা ভিন রাজ্য বা বিদেশি পর্যটকদের কাছে অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হবে এই অ্যাপ। অ্যাপটির নাম ‘SARADOTSAV’।

গুগল প্লে স্টোরে গিয়ে ‘SHARADOTSAV’ লিখলেই কলকাতার দুর্গাপুজো দেখার প্রয়োজনীয় সব তথ্যবাহী এই অ্যাপ পাওয়া যাবে। রাজ্যের অন্য শহরের পুজোর তথ্যও মিলবে এই অ্যাপে। এই অ্যাপে পুজোর নানা পাশাপাশি রাজ্যের নানা দ্রষ্টব্য স্থানের তথ্যও পাওয়া যাবে। পুজো দেখার ফাঁকে সেগুলিও দেখে নিতে পারবেন পর্যটকরা।

এছাড়া এই অ্যাপে থাকছে রাজ্যের বিখ্যাত পুজোগুলির তথ্য, পুজোর নির্ঘণ্ট, বনেদি বাড়ির পুজোর ইতিহাস। কোন পথে গেলে পছন্দের পুজো দেখা যাবে, তাও জানিয়ে দেওয়া হবে ম্যাপের মাধ্যমে। পুজোর মণ্ডপ লাগোয়া রেল, মেট্রো, বাসস্টপের দুরত্বও জানা যাবে। পাশাপাশি নিকটবর্তী রেস্তোরাঁ, পুলিশ সহায়তা কেন্দ্র, থানা, হাসপাতাল বা স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের ঠিকানা, ব্যাঙ্কের এটিএম, পাবলিক টয়লেটের তথ্য মিলবে।

এখানেই শেষ নয়, কোন পুজোর উদ্বোধন কবে তাও জানা যাবে। অ্যাপের মাধ্যমেই বুক করা যাবে বিসর্জন দেখার জন্য লঞ্চের টিকিট। এছাড়াও এতে রয়েছে বারোয়ারির খুঁটি পুজো থেকে দুর্গা পুজোর মণ্ডপের নানা ছবি। রয়েছে বাংলা শিল্প সংস্কৃতির নানা তথ্য। এর মাধ্যমে ট্যুরিস্ট লজগুলিও বুকিং করা যাবে। তাঁর প্রয়োজনীয় লিঙ্কও দেওয়া রয়েছে এখানে।

An app for emergency services has been created under the aegis of the Bengal Transport Department, aimed at helping commuters in distress. The app would link the public with police departments, which in turn would connect with ambulance and hospital services.

During the first phase to commence next month, four police commissionerates are going to be part of the project – Kolkata, Bidhannagar, Barrackpore and Howrah. The app would be of help during accidents, criminal attacks, attacks on women and similar situations.

When in danger, people can send messages directly to police stations, the Transport Department, fire services, hospitals and pre-designated relatives and friends via the GPS of the mobile phone, which has to be kept on. Only a button needs to be clicked.

The app has a two-way system. Hence messages from the police and others would also reach the mobile phone. An SMS would reach the pre-designated relative or friend’s number with the location of the person marked on a screenshot of Google Maps.

Through the usage of the app, the police would also be able to map areas where particular types of crimes occur more frequently, and therefore arrange adequate precautionary measures.

পথে বিপদ থেকে উদ্ধার পেতে অ্যাপ চালু আগামী মাসে

রাজ্য পরিবহণ দপ্তরের উদ্যোগে তৈরি পথ-সুরক্ষা সংক্রান্ত অ্যাপ চালু হতে চলেছে আগামী মাসেই। প্রথম ধাপে কলকাতা,বিধাননগর, ব্যারাকপুর এবং হাওড়া কমিশনারেট এলাকায় চালু হতে চলেছে অ্যাপ। এ নিয়ে সংশ্লিষ্ট দপ্তরগুলির মধ্যে সমন্বয়ের কাজ চলছে বলে পরিবহণ দপ্তর সূত্রের খবর।

পথ দুর্ঘটনা, দুষ্কৃতী আক্রমণ কিংবা মহিলাদের বিরুদ্ধে সংঘটিত অপরাধ-সহ রাস্তায় যে কোনও রকম বিপদে বিশেষ কার্যকরী হতে পারে এই অ্যাপ।

জিপিএস নির্ভর ওই অ্যাপ থেকে মোবাইলের মাধ্যমে পাঠানো বার্তা পৌঁছবে পুলিশ, পরিবহণ দপ্তর, দমকল, হাসপাতাল এবং বিপন্ন ব্যাক্তির আত্মীয়-পরিজনদের কাছে। নির্দিষ্ট অপশনে ক্লিক করলেই পুলিশ কন্ট্রোলরুমে ‘অ্যালার্ম’ বাজবে। সেখান থেকে যিনি সাহায্য চাইছেন তার নাম, পরিচয়, ফোন নম্বর এবং প্রকৃত অবস্থান জানতে পারবে পুলিশ। বার্তাও ভেসে উঠবে সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যাক্তির মোবাইলে।
