Derek O’Brien intervenes for Trinamool after Home Minister’s speech

Sir, Point of Order.
I wanted to extend the courtesy of not disturbing the Home Minister, while he was speaking ( for the first time in Rajya Sabha).
Sir, my point of order was on Rule 238(v)(A member while speaking shall not reflect upon the conduct of persons in high authority unless the discussion is based on a substantive motion drawn in proper terms). The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee’s name was mentioned by the Home Minister and some (unsolicited) political advice was given to her about political killings. The political killings are not from one political party (many Trinamool workers were killed) and whether it’s Uttar Pradesh or Bengal, (across parties )Sir, you cannot take the name of persons in high authority (and remove if necessary). The Home Minister is the Home Minister; he is also the BJP President (As I said in my speech, he must know there is a distinction between the two).
