World-class health facilities for U17 World Cup at Salt Lake Stadium
On the day the FIFA Under-17 World Cup was inaugurated, that is, October 6, a three-bedded critical care unit (CCU) was inaugurated at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK). VYBK, popular as Salt Lake Stadium, is the venue of all the 10 matches to be held in Kolkata, including the final on October 28.
The CCU would have all necessary amenities and personnel like critical care specialists, nurses and health workers.
The health facilities for the World Cup at a glance:
· Critical care unit at the stadium
· Twenty beds at the Bidhannagar Subdivisional Stadium, five beds at Bidhannagar Matri Sadan and two emergency beds and five normal beds each at ILS, AMRI Salt Lake and Columbia Asia Hospital
· Five medical college hospitals in Kolkata and their blood banks on high alert
· FIFA Medical Emergency Bag kept at the stadium, which can keep a person alive for at least one hour
· Eight medical kiosks at eight places in the stadium run for spectators, by the State Government, manned by doctors and nurses
· Apollo Gleneagles Hospital’s Sideline Health Team and Players’ Health Unit for players on the ground
· At a maximum 20-minute distance, three advanced life support ambulances and nine basic life support ambulances run jointly by the State Government and Safe Life Foundation
· If the temperature inside the stadium crosses 32 degrees Celsius, players to get two-minute cooling break
বিশ্বকাপের কল্যাণে বিশ্বমানের স্বাস্থ্য ব্যবস্থা যুবভারতীতে
যুব হলেও, আখেরে বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবলই। তাই, খেলোয়াড়, ভিআইপি ও দর্শকদের জন্য মজুত স্বাস্থ্যব্যবস্থাও যাতে বিশ্বমানের হয়, তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে বদ্ধপরিকর সরকার।
ফিফার নির্দেশিকা মেনে খাস বিবেকানন্দ যুবভারতী ক্রীড়াঙ্গণে তাই একটি তিন শয্যার ক্রিটিক্যাল কেয়ার ইউনিট খুলে ফেলেছে স্বাস্থ্যভবন। জীবনদায়ী পরিষেবা দেওয়ার উপযোগী এই হেলথ ইউনিটটি বিশ্বকাপের উদ্বোধনের দিন খোলা হয়। ক্রিটিক্যাল কেয়ার স্পেশ্যালিস্টদের পাশাপাশি নার্স, স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী এবং যাবতীয় জরুরী পরিকাঠামো সেখানে বিশ্বকাপের শেষ পর্যন্ত মজুত থাকবে।

· বিধাননগর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে ২০টি, বিধাননগর মাতৃসদনে ৫টি এবং আইএলএস, সল্টলেক আমরি ও কলম্বিয়া এশিয়াতে ২টি করে এমার্জেন্সি শয্যা-সহ মোট ৫টি করে বেড সংরক্ষণ
· হাই অ্যালার্ট জারি করা হয়েছে কলকাতার ৫টি মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও তাদের ব্লাডব্যাঙ্কগুলিকে
· ডাক্তার নার্স স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী নিয়ে যুবভারতী ক্রীড়াঙ্গনের মধ্যেই থাকছে ৩ শয্যার একটি ক্রিটিক্যাল কেয়ার ইউনিট
· খেলা চলাকালীন মাঠেই থাকছে ‘ফিফা মেডিক্যাল ইমার্জেন্সি ব্যাগ’ যা দিয়ে অন্তত একঘণ্টা জীবনদায়ী পরিষেবা দেওয়া সম্ভব মুমূর্ষুকে
· খেলোয়াড়দের জন্য মাঠেই প্রস্তুত থাকবে অ্যাপোলো গ্লেনিগেলসের ‘সাইডলাইন হেলথ টিম’ ও ‘প্লেয়ার্স মেডিক্যাল ইউনিট’
· দর্শকদের জন্য স্টেডিয়ামের ৮ টি জায়গায় চিকিৎসক ও স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী নিয়ে মজুত থাকছে সরকারি মেডিক্যাল কিয়স্ক
· যুবভারতী ক্রীড়াঙ্গনের বাইরে সর্বোচ্চ ২০মিনিটের দূরত্বে থাকছে রাজ্য সরকার ও সেফ লাইফ ফাউন্ডেশনের মোট ৩টি অ্যাডভান্সড লাইফ সাপোর্ট অ্যাম্বুলেন্স ও ৯টি বেসিক লাইফ সাপোর্ট অ্যাম্বুলেন্স
· খেলা চলাকালীন মাঠের তাপমাত্রা যদি ৩২ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস পেরিয়ে যায়, তাহলে দু’মিনিটের কুলিং ব্রেক পাবে খেলোয়াড়রা
