Our State has shown the lowest inflation rate in the country: WB CM on Facebook
According to the Economic Survey 2015-16, published by the Central Government, West Bengal has shown the lowest rate of inflation in the country (less than 3%).
This distinction could be achieved due to the continuous monitoring of prices of essential commodities at Task Force meetings held regularly.
Moreover, the Survey shows that the State’s agricultural production is on the rise, when the trend in other States is that of being on the decline. West Bengal has also excelled in many other sectors of human development.
All this is due to our regular State-level monitoring and the more-than-100 review meetings at the grassroots level (CMO-to-BDO) that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has had with field-level functionaries.

West Bengal under the Trinamool Congress Government has excelled remarkably in terms of the major indices of economic growth. On parameters like gross value-added growth, per capita income and increase in industry, and some other important indices, the numbers for the State are even better than those for India.

ইতিমধ্যেই পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ধারাবাহিকভাবে কৃষি কর্মণ পুরস্কার জিতে নজির গড়েছে। এদিন কৃষিক্ষেত্রে আরও একটি সাফল্য পেল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার।
পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুদ্রাস্ফীতির হার দেশের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে কম। মুদ্রাস্ফীতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনতে যখন কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার সহ অন্যান্য রাজ্যগুলিকে যখন হিমসিম খেতে হচ্ছে তখন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের এমন কাজ নিঃসন্দেহে প্রশংসনীয়।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তার ফেসবুক পোস্টে একথা জানিয়ে লিখেছেন, “আপনারা জেনে খুশি হবেন কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার সম্প্রতি যে অর্থনৈতিক সমীক্ষার ফল প্রকাশ করেছে সেখানে দেখা গেছে সারা দেশের মধ্যে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুদ্রাস্ফীতি সবচেয়ে কম। তিন শতাংশের কম হারে রাজ্যে মুদ্রাস্ফীতি হয়েছে। টাস্ক ফোর্স গঠন করে নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় পণ্যের দাম ক্রমাগত পর্যবেক্ষণের মাধ্যমেই অন্যান্য রাজ্যের সঙ্গে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এই পার্থক্য তৈরি করতে সফল হয়েছে। সমীক্ষার রিপোর্টে উঠে এসেছে যখন গোটা দেশে কৃষিক্ষেত্রে উন্নয়ন নিম্নমুখী, সেখানে কৃষি উৎপাদন ও মানব উন্নয়নের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে এগিয়ে রয়েছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ”।
রাজ্য পর্যায়ে নিয়মিত নজরদারি ও ব্লক স্তর পর্যন্ত আধিকারিকদের নিয়ে ১০৫টি পর্যালোচনা বৈঠক করা হয়েছে। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীসহ অন্যান্য মন্ত্রী ও পদস্থ আধিকারিকরা এই সব বৈঠকে উপস্থিত থাকতেন, তার ফলেই এই সাফল্য এসেছে।
