WB CM Ms Mamata Banerjee makes a surprise visit to SSKM Hospital again
A couple of months ago the West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee had made a surprise visit to the SSKM hospital and the fair price medicine shops in the vicinity, to investigate whether the patients were receiving proper medical amenities.
On Tuesday morning, like any other day, Ms Mamata Banerjee left from her Kalighat residence for the Writers` Building; but on her way she stopped her convoy at the gate of the SSKM hospital. She walked up to the family members of the patients waiting in the hospital compound and spoke to them in person. She ordered the hospital authorities to provide a shaded waiting area for the visitors and patients. Moreover, she requested them to arrange for pouch packets of drinking water for the common people who visit the hospital. West Bengal Transport Minister, Mr. Madan Mitra took note of the grievances and suggestions of the common man.
