WB CM launches the Official Facebook Page of Kolkata Municipal Corporation
WB CM Ms Mamata Banerjeel today launched the Official Facebook Page of The Kolkata Municipal Corporation in the august presence of Shri Sovan Chatterjee, Mayor of Kolkata; Janab Firhad Hakim, Hon’ble MIC, Muncipal Affairs and Urban Development Departments, Government of West Bengal; Shri Satchidananda Banerjee, Hon’ble Chairman, KMC; Mohtarma Farzana Alam, Deputy Mayor; Members, Mayoral In Council; Councillors; Municipal Commissioner; and other eminent guests.
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation, ever since its inception, has been constantly working to provide the citizens services that are in sync with the times. Social Media is one such service-driven platform that encapsulates the vision, aspirations and demands of the present generation.
It, therefore, helps enable organisations to seamlessly connect with the mass. It is this that KMC wants to accomplish through the Corporation’s Official Facebook presence. It has been designed — not just to inform — but receive meaningful, constructive and proactive reactions from the most important stakeholders — the citizens of Kolkata.
The Official Facebook Page of KMC, apart from keeping the citizens abreast about its various initiatives, will also share several treasures from its archive — giving viewers, globally, a rare window to the city’s history and ethos.
